My previous manager sent my current manager a small note by email saying how great she thinks I am. I was not in cc’ of this initial email.
My manager responded ‘we were happy to hire her in our team blah blah’. Then she said she ‘encouraged me to reconnect and maintain the relationship‘ with my previous manager.
She cc’ed me. Now, I kinda have to revert to my old manager and say something nice.
What should I say?

Nothing. Just ignore it. They can't make you. If your current Manager mentions it just say something like 'gosh, yes, I keep meaning to say Hi' and change the subject. Given the shenanigans at your workplace I'd suspect an ulterior motive anyway.
If you see your old Manager just smile widely and keep walking.
I would respond with something brief like thank you for the positivity, it's rewarding to have your efforts noticed and appreciated, you enjoyed you time working with them, are excited to see where your new role takes you and hope you can replicate your success in future.
You don't want to end up volunteering to take anything from the previous role with you but it's always good to maintain relationships around the company so just make it clear that you appreciate your time with the but you're moving forward now.
I’ve had a tattoo on my ribs for about 7 years, done at a proper shop in the U.K. I’ve had really dry skin over the summer but the last 2-3 weeks this tattoo has been itching like MAD and when I got undressed today it’s peeling?! Has anyone experienced this before and if so what do you do…
Only ever experienced This when I had a fresh tattoo and it’s normal to peel but bepanthen worked wonders for the itching then

As long as the skin isn’t broken, try some body or nail oil on it. Should soak in and help

Does anybody know of a shop that sells and demonstrates these machines? I'm willing to travel as I realise in the end I'll be quids in
Also is there a coffee specialist, again actual shop, where they can help you find the coffee you like.

We have the Breville Barista which is very similar to the Sage machines but the reason I chose breville over sage was that I read a lot of reviews saying the Sage was fiddly at times or difficult to clean; my boss has a sage and sad ts very fiddly.Not really a problem but after some advice if anybody is a coffee aficionado. the DeLonghi looks great and also has great reviews too but this is assuming you want a bean to cup coffee machine rather than a pod machine. In terms of shops or coffee specialists I don’t know but I can tell you it is a lot of fun trying lots of different beans! You can buy subscriptions which is great and I bought my friend one a little while back which she loved.
Thank you, yes definitely looking for a bean to cup or at least ground beans to cup machine.
We have a Sage touch machine and it produces an amazing cup but it’s really trial and error with grind time, milk heat etc, you can tweak so much to get it to your liking.
Regarding the beans, coffee shops usually sell their blends so you could just buy your fave or start asking what blend/origin their beans are and make a note, see if there’s a pattern.
Sainsburys do the Kenyan and Columbian beans the sell while in a pre ground form too so you could get some for a cafetière to try now.
Some bean companies do taster sets of their blends too so if you do get a machine that takes beans, they could be worth while to start off with too.

I've got a Sage barista nespresso machine and I spend more time cleaning the b thing than I do drinking coffee. It's the milk frother that plays up... you have to keep taking the end of the frother wand out and unblocking the 4 tiny tiny holes with a paper clip. Drives me batshit. And then it likes to be descaled every few weeks - and won't work until you've done it. It warns you 2 or 3 times then goes on strike.
I love the coffee once I've made one, and the pod part is brilliant but I wish I'd researched it a bit better. £500 is a lot of money for a temperamental machine that operates on its own terms

Thank you this is all really good advicce. My concern was actually more the coffee blend than the machine itself
And tbh I don't mind faffing about a bit if I can get it right. Honestly my coffee addiction is costing a bomb---

Pumphrey's are a big coffee merchant in Newcastle, they sell online and have a huge range. Mocha is my favourite .Not really a problem but after some advice if anybody is a coffee aficionado. I will say though that I love the range of Nespresso pods. Something for all tastes - and even the decaff ones are good. I spend far too much money on coffee but it's still way cheaper than takeaway ones.
Two of my nails are lifting. Both on the same hand. Just wondering if anyone had advice how to fix it? I googled it it literally says cut away the nail as it grows out which I have been doing
