Only need a bath in my house coz of my son. Otherwise I’d never use the bath again! I think most people use a shower coz who’s got time for a bath every day seriously 🤣

Anything worse than staring at my own naked wet body whilst the water slowly gets colder 😂 no thank you

this is me 🤣

i love the idea of a bath but the actual reality is 😬 there’s always a moment, about five minutes in, when the bubbles have started fading and the water is just getting colder when i’m like…….. what am i doing. plus some part of you is always cold unless you have an insanely sized bath. showers every time!

Much nicer than standing under a shower trying not to get hair wet, or full force of water in the face, the bit’s of you that aren’t under the water getting cold and not being able to wash your feet properly. A bath does not have to take long, but a long bath is relaxing and can ease muscle aches.

my last two houses had both, I have never used the shower in either

@Hastaggifted So it really looks like some people would buy a house without a bath and some people wouldn’t buy a house without a bath. I guess you just need the right buyer 😂

I shower in the morning for a quick wash before work. I sometimes have a quick bath if I'm cold but generally bathing is a hobby of mine.

Long bath, super hot, face mask, hair mask, lots of bubbles, glass of wine, book and I settle in for at least an hour.

I never feel clean after a bath coz all that dirt you’ve washed off is just floating around your clean bits. Also it’s a lot of water when you can have a nice quick shower and be done. It is far easier to keep up it hair dry than you’re making out 😂

Yes !! I run a bath as hot as I can stand, get in with a book and soak until its cold.

I think we're in danger of returning to 'unpopular opinions' 😳😆.

This is a very light hearted reply, I'm not being argumentative (so please don't take it like that)* but shower caps were invented for a reason and none of me gets cold in a shower because all of me is under water all of the time. Also, my feet are very well washed because they are in water for the entirety of said shower.

I used to be a bath person, particularly enjoying a long soak on a Saturday evening with a book. However approximately a decade ago I developed a medical condition that made having baths a no go. I literally hated showers and genuinely used to say I found the water "too intrusive in a morning" so it was a massive adjustment. These days I can't imagine ever having a bath again. I love showers!

In response to the original query, I'd say fit your home out with what suits you. There will always be someone who it will suit and given the room is big enough to have a bath, if it's that big a deal, the new owners will re-do the bathroom anyway. In all honesty it's a room a lot of people moving into a new home do to suit their own tastes and needs anyway.

*Maybe being an ex bather is as bad as being an ex smoker 🤔😉.

That's what we found when we sold our last house, there were just as many who didn't mind there wasn't a bath as there was who did, what's important is having the house as you want it, if someone truely loves the house they will change it to suit themselves, we had to go back to collect some mail that hadn't been transferred to the new address only to find they were ripping out the kitchen 😅 that we didn't think was anything wrong with it, the house was only 13 year old

If I could afford the house of dreams I think I'd have showers as the norm then one large, amazing bath plus a dog bath in the utility downstairs.

I could do with some advice regarding my 9 year old daughter. She keeps crying because she has no friends at school. Her best friend recently ditched her so she's still hurting from that. There are other children who like my daughter and would be friends with her but she is not interested in them.

I think she has low confidence when it comes to friendships.

Can you invite them all round for a sleepover? Force the friendship a little? She might decide she does like them after spending some more time together

I don’t think there is a way 😬

I would just delete. She doesn’t need to be passing on your info all the time. If she asks why you can tell her

Eta there is a way glad people have told you. Hope it works
Apologies, I meant to come back to this. The next time i posted something, I selected the ‘friends except’ option and added both their names so they can’t see it. When you do that, it also has a tickbox for ‘make this my default’ so I think it’s sorted. Thank you to the people who offered suggestions.

I don’t know why she was doing it but Mil and some of her friends are weirdly competitive about what the adult children do so maybe something to do with that.

Have you spoken to school about it? They could help by encouraging them to play together etc

Are there any clubs some of the kids go too? Sometimes it can be a little easier to make friends outside of a school setting an in a more relaxed fun setting, when my parents moved us school they put us into brownies/scouts an it helped us make some friends that were also in our class at school

Does the school have a councillor? I know it's still a limited service but maybe they could help with some confidence boosting

Yes she does some after school clubs and goes to the local stables. I think you're right about counselling I might look into that, thank you.

Yes school are brilliant and try to pair her up with someone or help her into a group. She just says that the the children have bossed her about or been too loud etc. She finds a problem with everyone 😬

Our apartment complex has a policy of no clothes hanging on balconies. Tons of people in the complex don’t follow this rule and hang their clothes on street facing balconies. This area of the city is quite congested, so I don’t understand the purpose of hanging clothes in congested air.

Anyways, every time I go onto my balcony, it smells like detergent or softener. The smell is quite strong and unpleasant. I can’t spend 30s without being hit by the smell.

Not great.

I've had a little search and can't find anything, but is there a "where can I buy" fashion / shopping type thread on Tattle anywhere?
