Ok am on day two of this so am just gonna ask lol, on the computer its showing the full image of the picture, however no matter how much I try it will not print the full image, I've tried the option scale to paper size an tried both letter and A4 an still it will not work, I only need the page printed with that picture on it

My boss has been off two weeks an off this week with COVID an I need it done before the weekend as the training is on then
Can you email it to yourself and try from a different device? My laptop always prints my Vinted labels at the full size of the sheet of paper, regardless of what I do, but if I send from my phone to print, it's fine. 🤷‍♀️

I think it is hardwood floors, but they've got rugs from the few times I've been up there. I'm not sure a white noise machine would cover up how loud it is - the other problem is there can be silence for hours, and then all of a sudden SLAM SLAM SLAM. I'll give it a go on my phone and see if I sleep better tonight - they're really at it right now!
You could report them but you'd need records of it, phone recordings, a notepad of everytime they are doing it an what time etc it would come under antisocial behaviour

Is it private or rented? If it's rented I think you'd go through your landlord, an I think it may be government if it's private

Might be the way it's designed, the way mines run is vertical, if I put it horizontal on the bed then the duvet would only cover half the bed so mine can only go the one way
Yeah same here they have to be vertical on our double. But on our kiddos beds the single ones are horizontal- so annoying

Had similar at my niece/nephew's primary school with stuff being taken from cloakrooms. Often it was food from people's lunchboxes but sometimes coats and shoes as well. They did talk about it in class and assembly but otherwise the teachers said it was difficult to stop anything 😭

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but something happened today that has really worried me.

My dad came home after going out to visit his sister. He had called by a cash machine to lift money, but he didn't get the cash and said that the machine ate his card. So he calls the bank to cancel it, and then discovers his bank card is in his pocket.... he was absolutely insistent that he didn't take the card from the machine. It's all very perplexing but there are no other bank cards it could have been, so he must have taken it back from the machine. I guess I'm just looking for reassurance... he's 71 years old. He's smart and sharp in every other way, but can sometimes be a bit absent-minded. I just feel very worried by it.
couod the machine have swallowed his card and not given the cash because he actually put a different, wrong card in? I don’t know if it works like that but it would explain it. Did he have any other cards on him that he could have used by mistake?

I often blame my mum, who’s memory isn’t the best, for things only to later realise it was actually my mistake or she was correct and I just assumed.

Hi. On the contrary, the school have sorted out a prayer room and let him leave lesson a few minutes early as prayers are at a specific time. Although this is very accommodating of them, I had hoped they would have some words of advice for me but it seems not. I have been searching for maybe a support group who advise in this situation but I can't find anywhere. 😕
this happened to my partners friend, he wasn’t born into any religion and never followed any religion for over 20 years but then slowly started watching even more stuff online about islam. Many people fell out with him as he couldn’t grasp why other people weren’t doing the same. He told my partner I was Haram 🙈what is your general area i will see if i can find any support groups x

This is annoying and stupid but does anyone know of a way to block someone on Facebook from seeing your posts but without unfriending them? I have one of MiL’s friends on my Facebook and I very rarely post but whenever I do, she immediately calls Mil and tells her what I’ve posted. Mil then calls my husband and wants to know why we didn’t tell her we did xyz. It’s really fucking annoying. If I unfriend the wretched woman, all hell will break loose so I just want her to stop seeing my posts. I’ve tried searching but can’t find any useful answer.

When you post a status, you will see the 'post to' option and you can post to friends except and then select their name. I think you have to do it each time though which is a faff.

We’ve changed the bedding together today which is unusual as we normally do it solo whilst the other fights for their life with the toddler. It’s caused a bit of a tiff, so I’m putting it to the internet to decide who is right:

On your duvet there are usually seams running across the length to break it into quarters; should they be horizontal or vertical on the bed?
I think horizontal

I have 2 duvets (winter/ summer) they are both different! I've a king and just put the longest side horizontal and that works

I swear there used to be a fashion advice thread but I can't find it, anyway.... Has anyone ever ordered from Cider? I keep getting ads on IG and the clothes look nice but perhaps too cheap to be as nice as they appear?
Very hit and miss.
I did do a couple of returns with no issue and they offer store credit.
I do have a huge bust and small lower half so that was half my returns but the quality was shocking on a couple of items but great on most.
Its a little pricey for the quality, but I would check Shein before ordering with Cider as they have similar clotting for cheaper.

The
I have a couple of questions about my passport which seem really obvious but just to be on the safe side!
My pp says it was issued 24 Jan/Jan14 and expires 24 Jan/Jan 24- that means it expires on the 24th Jan 2024 right? I'm just confused seeing the number 4 so many times 😅
So if it does indeed expire 24th Jan 2024 would I be okay to go abroad and return on October 18th with the 3 months before expiry rule?
There was something in the press recently about more than three months iirc so I’d make sure to just check the individual requirements too.

Came to this thread few weeks ago about my electric supply tripping intermittently for the last 3/4 years. Other day it completely cut out and another house further along.
Electric company came out straight away after a brief phone call (no waiting).
There was a few of them working on it, digger there also. Transpired it was a pipe/cable just outside my garden a few feet below ground that was at fault.
They fixed it in a day and it's been fine so far :) 🤞
I should have called them years ago as I could no longer use my lights as they flickered so badly and contributed to the supply tripping and they said flickering lights would be a priority.
Oh well, I suppose the electrician who checked my home a few months back was right when he said nothing was faulty indoors.
Such a bloody relief after all this time to have a normal electric supply!
Glad nothing faulty in your home! But atlesst it’s all sorted now x

Allergic to the office 😂

Jokes aside I wish I could be more help but omg I've weirdly been having something similar myself and it's only started in the last couple of weeks. I feel cold-like symptoms coming on in the office and have a headache/sneezing/stuffiness and then I'm fine the next day. I don't have hay fever and we don't have AC at work. Not sure what's bringing it on now!
Someone with a strong perfume?

Can anyone recommend decent shapewear? Something for tummy and a bit of thigh would be good. Also has to be seamless. TIA 😊
For my wedding day I bought Primark and it was excellent. Comfy (ish 😂) did the job, reasonably priced.

Could really do with a thread for homeware, like decent finds and bargains, where to go for good quality etc, for example my DFS sofa is 14 years old and we love it but it’s time to change and now I hear only horror stories about the brand, but have got no idea where to go for a decent quality and comfortable sofa these days!
We bought a DFS sofa about a year pre-covid and it’s shockingly bad. Paid nearly £5k for it - 3 seater and l-shaped 4-seater in leather.
The 3-seater is terrible, really bad but Mr Lolz didn’t want to make a fuss because it took about 3+ months to arrive
