Has anyone tried natural deodorant? A couple of the mums at my playgroup are saying it’s incredible, but I sweat A LOT and at one point had to have prescription deodorant. If you have tried it which one?
Yes, I swore by it for years. Very sweaty here and it worked a dream. However I become reactive to the ingredients after a while which is quote common so gave had to give it up. I used salt of the earth.

Just looking for a bit of perspective… Had an argument with the other half last night (one of a few) because I didn’t like what he was doing and he refuses to stop and says there’s nothing wrong with it. So basically, he will sit on the couch with his balls and other parts hanging out his shorts and be playing with them (not just readjusting, literally stroking and pulling on them). It really winds me up as I find it quite disrespectful and needless, especially when I am eating my tea. He says it’s normal and what every man does, yet agrees he wouldn’t be doing it in front of anyone else or at work etc. Would anyone else find this gross and a bit disrespectful, especially when you have asked them to stop, or am I just being uptight? It really gives me the ick.

Interesting to see how many people click their fingers. Never done it and have never done it to anybody. I haven’t even done it to my dog.
I probably wouldn’t say something but I’d be taken aback by somebody clicking their fingers at a child or adult
Can I ask why? Is it especially rude? My logic is that it’s a sharp noise to grab his attention, like a clap, when kids have selective deafness. Like okay Jimmy I’ve said your name twice I’ll try punctuating it with a noise to get your attention.

Does anyone take gut supplements? I hear people rave about Symprove but I’m not paying that 🤣 would an everyday BioAcidophilus suffice? I drink a daily can of Remedy kombucha.
I have taken them for years but recently ran out and they aren't on offer at h and b at the moment but can't say I have noticed any difference. I also drink Kombucha.

Any tips for coldarses swimmers who find the pool too cold?
Swim faster? 😅

Only half joking... if its a sports pool (which are kept at a lower temp - swimming in a warm pool when you're sweating is grim), you might really benefit from increasing your swimming speed or learning a new, more intense stroke. Breaststroke and head above water is relaxing but not very energetically intense as you don't involve your back that much. You could buy some goggles and do the olympic style breaststroke instead. I don't know which level of swimming you're at, maybe getting a coach for a session or two would also be worth it.

Otherwise, do some warmup exercises to get you sweating, then you'll be glad of the pool to cool you down. Planks are a good one, pushups, jumping jacks, ... Could you walk there instead of driving? Or take the bicycle?

Photo storage on phone. Help. I do backup all my photos on my phone to Google photos. But basically my internal phone gallery is so full to the point I've basically deleted most apps to recoup storage, because I'm terrified if I delete all the photos from my phone gallery it will somehow delete them all from Google photos as well. I've heard horror stories of that happening to others and it's all photos of my baby which I don't want to lose. Should I just save to a hard drive as well or is there another solution. I have deleted crappy photos from my phone gallery and they still show up in Google photos so I know I'm being very irrational lol. But what do others do?
I would suggest you invest in an external hard drive and then you can download all your photos on there for extra peace of mind

I would wait and keep your existing car for now. But be prepared to change car when the charge comes in .

I'd avoid diesel ( I switched from diesel to petrol due to my low mileage) and maybe consider pre -17 registered car that has £30 or less tax, I've been considering these too.
Good point on the tax!
I've just looked for the same model of car as I have now, with tax of £30 or less, under £7k.
There's only a few, and all are diesel. There is one I would consider, but it's over £5k for a 2014 reg, which feels a lot for an almost 9yo Vauxhall.

I think I'm going to hang on at least until Jan-March in the hope things get cheaper. Provided my car keeps going til then (touch wood!)

Anyone successfully got money back from Fitbit? My husband has just been charged £80 for a premium subscription (no emails, no in app warnings) and when he contacted the company he said “they don’t refund subscriptions”, instead we have to ask Apple for our money back. Apple say no chance because they’re a third party. I mean it’s fine it’s not like we wanted to eat this month or anything.
Haven't gotten money back but I did get my Fitbit watch changed after it was faulty an they at first weren't going to do anything about it, so I blasted them on twitter an you bet they dealt with it within a few days an I got a new watch sent out, company's HATE being called out on platforms everyone can see an are usually quick to talk to you one on one to sort it

Have you tried looking at the small print? Sometimes some might say they have a cancellation period if the date the subscription started is under 2 or 3 days when you want to cancel, I can't see apple dealing with it if it's from Fitbit, but if he has never signed up for it then I'd keep at Fitbit for it back

I was told I have PCOS, it was actually undiagnosed coeliac disease! So may be worth going the opposite way and claiming you think you have coeliacs then they might diagnose PCOS!

Question. Would you expect both your children to be invited to a child’s bday party if they were only 2 years age diff or just the one that’s close in age to the child celebrating their bday?
Just the one closest in age

Can anyone recommend any protein chocolate bars? Like actual chocolate not a flapjack, brownie etc.
I haven’t seen protein choc bars. Plenty flapjacks and brownies etc. actually now I think of it don’t they do a Mars protein bar? Im not sure if it’s genuinely worth out though based on the price and the amount of protein

The gasket from my blender has stubborn dirt. I’ve let it run through six dishwashing cycles and it won’t move. Does anyone have ideas that I can try out?

So. I hope this is a good place to put it.
I’m currently in therapy and I’ve spoken about my feelings through and through. And aware of my triggers and issues.

I met a lad through tinder and asked we can be friends because we got on so well, and our long term goals didn’t matcb

He’s got a girlfriend now, told me today and has said he’ll be moving in with half of the week in the future. and I KNOW I asked to be friends but can’t help but be gutted cause I did fancy him and had thoughts about kissing him.

And one of my issues is abandonment issues. And j was a bit short with him (it’s been an emotional week- met up with my dad who I haven’t been in contact with for 18 years!) so now I’m thinking I should tel him I want it? But I thinks is the case of want what i can’t have and it’s jealously too.
I would not if I were you. You told him you wanted to be friends and he respected that. If your long term goals didn’t align, you should have cut him off period since you fancied him to an extent. A halfway platonic friendship is never a good idea.

He’s already very much involved with his current partner and it wouldn’t be fair to drop this bomb in the middle of this. Let him live his life. It seems you have the “want what you can’t have” syndrome.

I think you should get some distance and reassess how you will deal with such scenario moving forward.

I need to break up with my PT and I do not know how to do it.

I signed up 4 months before my wedding last year, I bought 40 sessions with her in the idea I would do 2 a week. She is also the gym manager and ended up cancelling so many of them due to having to cover, being ill ect. So I ended up having over 20 sessions left after my wedding. I managed to get some in before Christmas but to be honest she has been pretty useless again. There is little effort, it's just made up on the spot. No progression in weights as she can't remember what we did last session. I have 10 sessions left, pre paid and I just want to call it a day. She hasn't seen me since Christmas as she couldn't fit me in as I need afternoons due to my hours changing at work and then she was ill.

I tried before Christmas and asked if her other clients wanted to buy them, as she has done to me when people have been ill etc. but she never did it. I have paid her directly instead of through the club, which she shouldn't do but she did me a deal and seems to do it with most of her clients.

It's awkward as it's likely I will still see her in the gym and she is really lovely but I think she's got a bit complacent, most of her clients see her for the social side of it. She is always willing to try and make the sessions work and even offered me her guest membership when I mentioned I might need to leave but when it comes to it she cancels more often than not and to be honest I have just lost the want for it.

Have you tried anything to remove it yourself? Have they said it’s not a milk blister or just that it is but they won’t do anything?
I tried with salt water, pumping, oil, tweezers and nothing.. they never actually said what it was really I said I have a milk blister and they all just said ‘it’s fine don’t worry about it’

I think the compromise is perhaps he needs to do more if she stays. So he needs to take on the care for her so your routine is not disturbed. I think she should be allowed to stay tho .. she must feel so left out. Hope you can come to a compromise.
True, I had not thought of it like that. That’s why I feel so bad because I am very conscious of making sure that she is not left out. I just feel school days should be down to her mum but maybe I am wrong.

If the GP isn't offering the help then they need to be reported as all GPS have a duty to listen an offer what ever help they can or refer you if they are unable too as well as continuesly keep researching

Years ago none of my GPS knew what Depersonalization-derealization disorder was, am in a small town an theres 5 GPS at the practice but none knew what I was on about so I was then referred to the hospital for scans as well as the doctors there, not once was I ever called a liar or made to feel like one an after 3 years they finally understood what it was as they kept researching more into things since they had never come accross someone that had had this before an now they have been able to help others understand what it is that tell them the same symptoms I told them I had

So if you GP isn't working with you or referring you to others then it needs to be reported, even if its rare they should be researching further into it an what they can do to help

Also your computer should still be able to update things like Firefox or chrome, if it's not then delete it all off an reinstall it, my laptop is going on 15 years old an still works fine for me, I did have to reinstall chrome to get it to work but it's fine now an my parents pc is just as old an still works, some graphics don't work but the page still loads it just has a blank space where the graphics should be but everything else is there

Depends on the type. mine is brick and I'm having it removed with a hammer and chisel but the brick surround will stay in place.

..........

I keep making duvet mistakes

I used to buy duvets and they were nice with a little weight and stayed flat but the last few have been so lightweight ( even the winter ones) that they wont stay flat but bundle up in the cover also the fabric isn't like fabric at all more like the paper dresses and knickers from the 60s/70s . I am looking for the older types with prober fabric and a little weight to them.

Help!! please point me in the right direction without having to spend a fortune :)
Mine is a “like down” from Argos - Silentnight I think. Launder it every 2/3 years at the laundromat and it’s still in perfect condition. Cost about £50 I think for a double but I don’t regret it and it’s lasted me 10 years so far.
