Has anyone ever had to take something back while they are still signed into things an it's been ok?

My tablet is 4 month old an won't switch on so it's going back, but obviously am still signed into things on it, email, my Google account etc, I've changed my passwords but am still a bit paranoid, am assuming it will just go back to the factory an they will instantly factory reset it but I still don't like that I can't get it on to sign out of everything 😫
Leaving it seems risky. If you can remember every account you’re signed in on, I would go in and change my password and close out of open sessions.

Is there a physical store you can bring the tablet to and speak to a specialist/help desk?

Unfortunately they can ask, and might do. Then again, they might not! But the risk is there. Can someone over 18 chaperone them? You don’t have to share with them, just be in the same hotel
It does seem rather ridiculous, apparently neither of the parents wants to go, and apparently it was the 17 year olds idea and they were both planning it together. Also they're going north, when the parents are in the south.
I'd just tell them to take the risk, the girl is going with a boy who's obviously very tall, and wouldn't really look 17 I don't think. I've looked online and a lot of people have said that they've never been asked for ID at a premier Inn.

This isn’t serious so please don’t worry but I was wondering how do you pick a private doctor to do a general health check and is one even possible? Our 1 year old seems to be picking up lots of colds and coughs from nursery which I know is normal but sometimes his breathing sounds really heavy and we have members of family on both side with asthma. He recovers from the colds fine but the breathing randomly just happens and this started maybe at a month old but GP at the time said it’s nothing to worry about. He had bronchiolitis a few weeks ago and it wasn’t serious so A&E didn’t keep him in but it’s louder now. Other than this he’s completely healthy. Our family have also said we should just pay and ask for a general check.

This one is a random one but I’ve tried everything my friends have suggested:
My hair is SO greasy. I assumed build up so used a remover and it left me with the most dry, itchy scalp but still super greasy hair! I’ve also tried enough shampoos to open my own review links. My scalp remains dry and itchy but my hair a greasy mess. Send help!
I know you said you've tried loads of shampoos, but did you try a tea tree oil shampoo? Doesn't need to be expensive any tea tree oil one would do. My hair got Super greasey due to hormones during pregnancy and it's the only thing that worked.

Has anyone changed banks? How easy is it an can the new bank just automatically transfer what's paid/taken with your old one without there being a ton of paper work an phoning places to change etc

I've been with RBS all my life an recently they are really starting to piss me off, I downloaded the app to save having to log in the long way to check online, the app doesn't work so I deleted it an now I can't spend online because it wants me to approve in the app (that doesn't work) I've been in a few times an they are absolutely no help what's so ever, all am told is tHe ApP WoRks foR mE 🙄🙄 by them or am told to delete my card details an try again which I have done numerous times now, they aren't going to give a new card unless it's lost or stolen which they close the card off if that's the case an I'd rather still be able to use it till I got a new one (like when the cards expired you can use till the new one comes)

So my only option is to finally just say shove it to them an go elsewhere but am not sure if this will be more bother than what it would be if I just fought it out with RBS, basically I just want to know what battle is going be the less pain in the backside for me lol, fighting with them or changing banks

Thankyou for your replies. Our council is still closed due to covid and getting through is extremely difficult; CAB said they need proof of needs and there is no other Dr. I’m very rural, one dr one surgery. I was turned down for disability benefits as GP and social worker said I’m better. I can’t get through to dwp as can’t answer their security questions (I struggle with phones, something GP and CAB won’t accept). There’s no help with forms CAB just said go online, or get family/friends to do them as they’re hours away (I’m too ill to travel) and can only offer one session for two hours which isn’t enough. DWP aren’t going to give me benefits just on my say so and we’ve had high profile fraud cases here, CAB ‘helped’ with the claims both times so now very wary of being involved (two were working full time whilst claiming to be housebound, unable dress or function - all untrue).

Our SS don’t do complex needs my assessment with involved being told to choose either mental or physical health and the referred for ‘socialising’ Which I’ve no functioning for. Mind we’re useless telling me to go to their centre (hours away, upstairs and very expensive). They won’t help non members. I’ve less than £80 a week for everything I can’t be paying 10% of my income to them, even if bank would allow me to.

Anyway thankyou for all the advice, and, kindness.

Just a quick question. I booked and paid for a treatment for my sister on Thursday at 2pm- ish They have a strict 48hour cancellation policy. They are normally closed on mondays + saturdays. She tried to call them today to cancel as she got offered a work shift which she accepted, but they are unexpectedly closed. I told her to email them today. What are the chances they will give a refund?

She is upset about it but I told her it didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Their usual deposit is 50% but I asked if I could pay in full as it's our usual place and I didn't want her to worry about paying.

Can anyone offer advice on smoking/vaping?
Husband and I were both smokers for over ten years. Five years ago we both went onto vapes, and then quit. Neither of us have had any nicotine products since our first child was born (that’s what made us both knock it on the head for good).
In the last six months however, my husband has secretly taken up vaping again. First time I found his vape completely innocently (was hanging up a coat and it fell out of the pocket) and I’m not going to lie I was shocked. It seems like such a bizarre decision to make after being a smoker for a decade and knowing how tough it was to quit. I confronted him and he said sorry, to do with stress, was disappointed in himself and it wouldn’t happen again.
I’ve since found another three, the most recent being this morning. Every time we have the same conversation - he’s disappointed in himself, doesn’t want to be addicted, will stop. Safe to say I do not believe him anymore.

I know it isn’t my place to stop someone from doing something, but at the same time we’re married. We share a home, we have a child already and I’m pregnant. Plus since all of this my dad developed (and survived, luckily) lung cancer. I don’t want this in our lives to be honest. And what hurts more is the lying. He clearly has no intentions of stopping it and he keeps hiding it from me.
He doesn’t know I’ve found the one this morning (I didn’t stumble across this one, I looked for it in his coat pocket because I smelled it on him when he got home last night). How do I approach this conversation?
In the same boat here - except no children, and I've never smoked. Caught my husband vaping a few months ago - after which he said he'd given the vape to a friend so he only has it when they go out - and again about 10 days ago.

He'd made such a song and dance last year about being worried about a cough and convinced himself he'd got something bad, had tests and everything was ok, so I was annoyed two fold; one, about the lying and sneaking around, and second about the smoking itself, and like he felt he'd got the green card to do so again because the cough he was worried about last year wasn't anything serious.

I had it out with him over the lying, and kept repeating that we all have to make difficult choices for our health. He was also doing it in the house, and I said he had to do it outside, I don't care if it's cold and wet, go and stand outside and "enjoy" your smoke.

Does anyone have experience with One4Alls?

I had two of them which I used partially during the first year. Then, they started charging me card management fees on the remaining balance on a monthly basis even though the cards were not inactive and had just been used.

The expiry date on the cards read 2024, but to my surprise the remaining balances were all absorbed by these ridiculous fees. I don’t understand why have an expiry date 5 years away if the remaining balance is subjected to monthly fees after a year even if the card has just been used.

It’s probably due to their insurance. They are not adults and would need to be accompanied by an adult.

Just need some advice from some knowledgeable people! Friends and Google don't seem to have a consistent answer.
We are taking our 3 children out of school in May for a 2 week holiday. I know we will get fined but I just want to know how much that could be. Is it £60 per adult, per child, per week? (Seems a bit excessive 😠)

Kids are currently on 97% attendance. 3 days off for illness. I know this won't make any difference but for reference.

First holiday in 10 years so not as if it's a regular occurrence.

Anyone know?
My cousins school is £80 a week per child but they only charge if its a regular thing.
My sisters school is nothing and they support holidays

You are best off finding out exactly what your school do. Do you have a school group chat or Facebook page?

God that is my worst nightmare. More the chats or just leave them on ‘read’ without a reply. She will get the hint if you keep not replying. Think she needs to get a life personally lol
Typo I meant to say MUTE the chat

Not really a problem but does anyone have any recommendations for comfy sandals that don't look horrible?. 🤣

I'm going on holiday soon and need to find some. Just comfy enough to walk round all day!
what style? Pricey but I love my doc martin ones, comfy and worth the money.

i also had some from boohoo but they weren’t the best quality but so comfy . Lasted over the summer but then needed thrown out.

Could you take her away on holiday- get her far, far, away from him for a few weeks. See if she can remember how nice and relaxing life can be without a toxic man in it?

Could really do with some advice as I’m majorly overthinking!

Had an initial phone interview for a job on Friday. It was with the head of the company and he said he really liked the sound of my experience and wanted to invite me in to meet the team and have a further interview.

He said he’d ask another member of the team to get in touch and arrange this and it should be within 24 hours. Although this was Friday lunch time and they don’t work weekends.

It’s now Tuesday and I’ve not heard yet. I’m aware they’re probably super busy and it’s someone else in the team I’m supposed to be hearing from, so I don’t wanna seem clingy. But I’m paranoid they might have forgotten or not got my email right or something and I wanna show I’m keen.

So do you think it’s too soon to send a follow up email? 😬

I had covid last week, I have tested negative since. Could this still be an ongoing side affect? It's is disgusting. I feel fine in myself and no longer coughing.

I have Christmas food to eat and this is ruining my life 🤣🤣🤣🥲🥲🐷🐷

For some reason, I can’t stop thinking about joining an online dating app. I’ve zero interest in dating as I’ve a lot going on, but something in me keeps telling me to set up an account.

I’m not interested in meeting anyone through an app to be fair, so I don’t know why I suddenly feel the urge to go on some app. It doesn’t help I keep seeing ads for this same app everywhere (buses, TV etc).

I’m 32 and perhaps I should think about widening my horizons to meet someone but to be fair, I’ve no interest. I’m conflicted. Besides, I’ve already been on apps (6 years ago or so), and it wasn’t great.
Not quite sure why you would want to set up a account if you have no interest, tbh wouldn't you just be wasting whoevers time if they messaged you?

Not to be offensive but 32 seems to be a bit old to be messing with people, I can't see someone that age being particularly happy they are being messed with just because you want the app but dont care about dating if you are talking with them I'd think the majority that that's age that's on these apps are probably hoping to get serious
