You really have to wonder what would drive someone to do this. I thought the psychologist was good on #2 but there's something else running deeper it seems.

Possibly growing up with a adult who was aggressively dominant / abusive / absent

As the child develops in those environments, (unless they have one good adult guardian/ parent) , they’ll develop complexities such as a need to control powerful men / women
Or be subservient to powerful men / women
It’s all about trying to overcome childhood negative experiences.

There’s no difference between this girl and someone who abuses alcohol, binge eats etc ..

I listened again - he says "her name is Cora O'Donovan from Limerick....she's from the far side of Limerick between NCW and Rathkeale." I can see what you mean that she could have been down in West Limerick at the time staying with her family when she was supposed to go on date 1, but it's not clear.

But when she had covid / isolating she was sending him photos of partying / drinking sessions in the house - her parent's house?? Or her house in Dublin? But when she got out of isolation, she hit the road from Limerick to Dublin. Actually, why would you bring covid to your parent's house in Limerick - that doesn't make any sense. Unless she 'got' covid when she was in Limerick visiting her family.

We don't know where the aunt was from, only that her mother was from Monaghan originally. Actually - how did the family end up moving from Monaghan to West Limerick when she was 10? Was her father from there and that's what brought them there? Would love to know that backstory.

Yes, Nikki Niamh was / is living in the house in Dublin with two real housemates, who spoke to JB on the phone. I

The backstory is not overly important though because THERE IS NO CORA O DONOVAN. We don't tend to hone in on every infinite detail someone tells us until that point where you do find out they're a Catfish or Graham O'Dwyer or his ilk.

I've listened back to part 1 and part 2 and need to get a second opinion on a few elements from the breakfast in the house in Dublin as that whole thing just does not make sense. I could be completely wrong and could have wasted a lot of time below, but shur what about it.

Q1. If Cora & Nikki Niamh all lived together in West Limerick (as Cora had said that she lived in West Limerick with her flatmate Nikki Niamh), who did they say owned that house in Dublin where they were staying that night? Did Johnny B ask who's house it was before going over there? How was it explained? Airbnb? Friend's house? At 43'26 in Ep 1 Johnny B says, "Lads, on your way home, call into our house for breakfast, there's a bunch of us here in the gaff, all the housemates I've been hearing about". Didn't the use of 'our house' seem weird - when their house is in West Limerick?

Q2. The Scottish and Meath girls (both real and Niamh's flatmates) - Cora said that they were her flatmates aswell - so they lived in West Limerick. Ep 1, Johnny B went into the kitchen of the house in Dublin, spoke to a Scottish girl and a Meath girl, called them flatmates and he knew of them as Cora had mentioned them to Johnny B before. In that moment, I really wished Johnny B had asked them about living in West Limerick, what school they were teaching in or their night out in Ryans the previous night, to see their reaction - and Niamh's reaction. I'd love to know more about exactly what Johnny B actually said to them and what they chatted about, as this was so so so risky for Niamh to have Cora's fake flatmates from West Limerick, her real-life flatmates and Johnny B in her real kitchen.

Q3. I am guessing that the house was in Dublin 16 / near-ish the Red Cow roundabout, based on where real Niamh teaches and that Johnny Smacks said it wasn't too far out of his way when leaving Dublin to drop Johnny B off at the house. If there were 4 of you in town for a night out, there's no way you'd stay out that far with a big taxi fare from Camden Street, and you'd either splash out for a hotel room or get an Airbnb in the city centre or more central (especially when there are 4 of you). But then again, if you were able to stay at a friend's house for free then you might stay out that far...but who has space for 4 girls in a houseshare when there is prob already people living there? Again, how was this explained to Johnny B?

Q4. Similar to Q3, Cora had a nice lifestyle with plenty of showbiz connections, and with all of Cora's connections, you'd think she would have wrangled a nice apartment / spare room somewhere more central and dare I say it - more fancy? Didn't that raise any suspicions from either Johnny B or Johnny Smacks that Cora was staying somewhere random in the suburbs with 3 teachers (nothing against teachers!) + whoever owned the house + possibly people who already lived there? And wouldn't there have been a load of cars in the driveway with all the extra visitors?

Q5. When Nikki Niamh was in the kitchen making tea and cooking breakfast, was it not weird that she was able to work her way around a kitchen in a house that is not her own (as she lives in West Limerick)? And she was being so hospitable to Johnny B in a house that is not her own? I'd be wondering where the owner was, and how she knew where everything was and didn't have to open drawers and cupboards repeatedly to find things? I can imagine her being perfectly at home there cooking a fry (because as we later know, she was at home!)?

End of my questions. But one last thing - when you are hungover you are focused on stopping your head from hurting and not throwing up. In the plain light of day, it is easy to poke holes and wonder "What was he thinking going over to this house?" and "Why didn't he spot any of these things?". I know it obviously all made sense at the moment, and he was going to see a beautiful woman...who was going to cook him breakfast.... (You have to hand it to Niamh, she knows how to lure men in - sexy pics and a fry!) so no blame being attributed here. And if any of the 2 Johnnies Team are reading, I would really love to know the answers and how the whole Dublin house & ownership was explained to Johnny B

I would also like to know when he said "best first date ever" to niamh and housemates.... How the housemates didn't react then? Even just to say oh is Cora calling as they had never met her either, surely then Johnny would have been like... I thought she was at the shop? If a celebrity-type like Johnny B was in your kitchen, about to meet someone you’ve never met and have only heard of through Niamh/nikki….surely you’d ask niamhh bc /nikki where the hell is Cora?

Exactly. They'd heard so much about Niamh's friend Cora but never met her. And then JB turns up to meet Cora at the house. So why did no one say - Cora didn't stay here last night? But to be fair, JB said that the housemates and him only chatted very briefly and he didn't mention Coras name. But if JB was in my kitchen I'd be sitting down having a BIG chat. I wonder was Niamh freaking out and had to get the flatmates out of the kitchen quickly?

I can’t believe he waited so long in the house waiting for her to come back from the shop. Like surely her housemates knew there was no Cora gone to no shop? There’s no way he sat there that whole time and didn’t once reference how long she was taking. Sorry but I think there were a lot more people in on this than are letting on.. maybe they were happy enough to go along with it on the off chance of meeting the odd minor ‘celeb’.

Totally agree, I found it hard to get my head around that part. Especially when the 2 girls (Niamh and flatmate) laughed politely in response - clearly it was awkward and a bit weird.

I know - he was there for an hour at least. I've listened to that part a few times now (yes, I have nothing else to be doing). And it's very sketchy. He meets Scottish girl and Meath girl and has a bit of craic with them when he arrives. No one mentions Cora - how strange considering he's here to meet her and he's heard all about the two flatmates already through Cora? And then it feels like one of flatmates leaves the kitchen, and one of them stays (maybe?). They talk. He makes a joke about best first date ever - the 2 girls laugh politely. Next thing he's been there 45 minutes. Then it feels like it's just him and Niamh. He did say that he only spoke to the flatmates briefly - but then he also says that he had a cup of tea with them....this is very sketchy.

Just going back to Niamh losing job over this. I don't think she would and if she does, could sue the tit out of her employer.

I work for a huge corporate employer in Ireland. I always report assholes I work with who have XXX in their bio, share lots about the employer but also say and share racist or homophobic right wing crap. I was told that once they don't say racist etc. crap in same sentense as place of work, it is fine! Such a grey area and would be surprised she got fired over it.

But in my contract it says if showing your employer on socials, you cannot bring your employer into disrepute. Which includes being racist, trolling etc. But they don't care and don't wanna know when reported. Basically cause they can't do anything about it.

It is very hard to get fired from the public sector

What doesn’t make sense to me is that not only did Niamh finally bag a GAA county player, she was seriously punching with him. Football Paul / Kev is a good looking lad. He’s much better looking than her, and he obviously knows she’s not the full shilling (unless he’s the very same too) so she’s doing well landing him. It seems they’ve been together years, so why would she have been messaging Johnny B as recently as a few months ago, instead of being happy and enjoying her relationship? If she spends so much time down in Tipp, how does she even have time for all the deceit and multiple fake accounts.

What struck me was that Johnny B stressed how funny Cora was when they first started chatting, as he said he’s a funny lad himself... his himour would be quite laddish...anyone wonder was he maybe chatting to Kev and not Niamh? If it was Niamh doing all the chatting online and she really is as sound as Johnny B makes out, you’d wondering why she didn’t just spend a few grand on surgery and fillers to make herself Cora and Emma “hot”, post a few sexy insta pics and meet these footballers as her real self.

she was never a nurse. That was a fake identity. She was a secondary teacher since she trained in liverpool in 2016/17

I agree, I did not realise how popular they were until this. Also the housemates might have just thought “the best first date” comment was a joke going over their heads and didn’t want to ask someone they’ve just met what the f they are talking about. I think it’s likely Johnny B had a fair inkling at least at this point what he was getting in to and was digging more for the story… it explains why he was in the gaff for two hours!
