Lads is she nursing or not does anyone know

Read back through the thread. There were some posts where people noticed it looked like the break room in James in her stories but nobody here has had the pleasure of her being their nurse in the past while so it can't be 100% confirmed. But you know our Terrie, never far from 'tHe wArDs ' is she!

I agree. Nursing is a vocation, and like any career, the longer you're in it the more experience and knowledge you build. You need to keep on top of the latest research etc. She has probably spent more time out of the industry now than in it. She may have qualified but it's very easy to fall out of practice when you're not working on a regular basis. If I was ill I would rather be treated by someone who does this day in day out rather than someone who qualified X amount of years ago and has only dipped in and out.

I left a comment over an hour ago stating that I've worked with Terrie in the past and she's an incredible nurse. The comment seems to have been removed? As much as I think she's a dose of an influencer questioning her nursing cababilities is a step too far. End of.

I’m nearly sure that while in australia she worked with students as a coordinator or a facilitator of sorts. I’m not questioning her ability to nurse but that would have a massive impact on her bedside skills.

Also, as a nurse who has been on a covid ward since the beginning of the pandemic, I’m offended by her constant glory seeking

As long as she performs well on her shifts and looks after her patients like. I don't really like Terrie but I don't see how making comments on her nursing with no personal experience of it is productive.

In fairness, my partner never Worked with her directly and based an opinion on potentially biased opinions (people can’t stand her because of the whole influencer thing/don’t understand it). She was only in the hospital a few days so no one really got the measure of her and my partner moved hospital at changeover so won’t come across her now.

So perhaps it was unfair of me to call her lazy without being 100% sure. We all know some health workers can’t stand her is because the whole thing (going back at start of pandemic) looked like a photo op, but no one actually mentioned her nursing abilities. It just looked like she’s screaming “I’ve been on the front line”, when in reality, she’s probably done less than 10 shifts. And then this weekend she’s travelling about straight after being back on the wards! In my opinion, she’s been one of the worst hypocrites during this whole thing because she should know better.

Nursing is very much a vocation but there’s also a lot of muscle memory involved.. I’ve taken months off before and once you go back you get straight back into the groove of it after a while. The skills you can loose but caring in general is not something that I think you can. I can’t imagine she is working somewhere that involves a lot of skill like ED or ICU so I don’t think anyone is really in danger here. I don’t like Terrie don’t get me wrong, but i don’t think you really understand unless you are a nurse yourself!

duck where was her compassion when she dragged nurses out to oz under false pretences??? All to line he down pocket. People moved their entire lives over to oz and no work for them and Terrie didn't give a duck. Absolutely no compassion or heart in that woman at all. Absolutely full of it!!

I agree. However I found and still find it astounding people were duped by her. Wouldn’t you do your research before moving across the world??

I have heard people comment that Terrie is an exceptional nurse before. That's great and the world needs good nurses. But as an influencer and social media personality, i think she's fake, deceptive, unethical, self congratulatory.... Maybe I'd like her if she was just a good nurse, but she's also rigged competitions, scammed people, lined her pockets with dodgy practices. And she's generally just such an insufferable dose that I don't think I could like her if I tried.

You would, but these girls were generally young and early career nurses. They trusted her and believed her sales pitch. Don't blame the nurses for being naive, blame Terrie for duping them with false promises of riches and tropical lifestyles. She's clearly majorly exaggerated the amount of available work and money making potential. I don't think those girls moved to aus on a whim. They were out thousands and thousands of euro, away from family and friends and broke with no work shifts. Some girls would be enroute to a shift and told on the way the shift was cancelled or booked so they would be on a train at 7am and told to go home. Sorry but that doesn't happen in Ireland, ever. Common practice in Aus seems to be promising the shift to a few people on the assumption one or two of them will cancel last minute and the last person will work it. It's a crappy system. And that's only happening in Aus because supply isn't outstripping demand because agencies sell nurses lies about how many shifts there are.

For sure. I wouldn't make such a drastic lifestyle change because one person working for a company gave me a good sales pitch but it just goes to show you how influential these girls are

Ah for god sake she is NOT a nurse. Dipping in and out of the odd shift to keep up skills or nursing registration incase the whole blogger thing and bahama body fails. Her capabilities of a nurse I dont know about but doing the odd shift and constant holidays and trips away isn't a nurse and NOT anyway of a reflection of a full time healthcare worker. She is a total fake. But im glad to hear she is a good nurse whenever she chooses to do the odd shift but her collabs, bahama body tan and trips are far more important than her "passion" as a nurse.

I agree but I think people need to look at themselves. Like I wouldn’t book a hotel or buy a product based on the advice of an “influencer” never mind make big life abd career decisions. These girls are young alright but still old enough to know better

I know but that's you. Believe me there are plenty who would. When I was younger I was in the so sue trap and bought everything she recommended. The lancome foundation was the final nail in the coffin for me and I caught myself on after that

I think you’re comparing different situations. Plus at the time we didn’t know what scam artists influencers are whereas at the time of the nursing scandal everyone did. Especially Terri after the comp rigging scandal
