I get what your saying but most things like that you physically sign a contractI paid for the year up front
I read it as you pay the price whether you pay upfront or over the year.
Bit like if you buy a sofa then decide you don't want it.... You still have to pay it off.
Perhaps they have made it clearer recently but I knew how much signing up would cost me.
They won’t let you cancel, you have to email them to say you want to. The only way I got out of it was to pay off the remainder and that was with me telling them my dr advised I stop their programme.Does anyone have any experience on cancelling their membership and how?
Sorry what exactly didn’t you get that you thought you were getting? It’s laid out on his social media plain as day he’s a jackass with no compassion yet people still buy from him then have the cheek to complain. If you sign up to something and you do not receive the service that you have signed up for, THEY are breaking their contract they have made with you. That gives you the right to cancel. If you were subscribed to Sky and not receiving the correct signal or channels, you can give them a chance to put it right. If they fail to do so, you can end the contract. Would you shut up and still pay if you had no response to your complaint that you were not receiving what you signed up for? Because, you know, 12 months is 12 months ... Or would you act "butthurt" and complain and tell them to get fucked?
The nature of his coaching (online) at a distance means that he cannot hold you legally to a 12 month contract. If you are not in receipt of his "content" or do not have access to his app, he cannot charge you. He can only withdraw your access to his services as it is distance selling and coaching. This is why a lot of companies such as SW etc, insist on a 3 month payment upfront, then a rolling contract. I'm pretty confident what he is doing is illegal, not to mention harsh and immoral.
If you sign up to a yearly gym membership, that gym has to take out a years insurance to cover you, you are physically present in that building, actively using the services. They pay to maintain the wear and tear on the building that you contribute to. You go in and physically sign a contract with them that is personal to you. Ashbourne Management have been taken to court in the past for dodgy gym contracts and fined. He is using a gym contract from these people, with a few tweaks. I'm pretty sure most people including myself, wouldn't dream of not paying for a legit contract they have signed up for. His quite frankly, is a load of old bollocks and he knows it. It's not just people not wanting to pay as you put it, he's given people good reason not to pay it.
Educated and composed. She seems a lot more professional than the twat that is Richie
It’s awful isn’t it? I’ve wanted to work in fitness and nutrition before and these are the types that have always put me off.That. Is. Disgusting.
As someone in fitness I'm embarrassed by this that is definitely not a way most trainers talk to their clients. That's shocking
Yeah its so obvious!!!! Those reviews are laughable! It looks like he’s asked his members to write positive reviews on trustpilot as since that negative one there is a lot of positive 5* ones from people that is their first time reviewing!
If you just cancel it they'll likely try and bill you for fees. Email them and tell them to piss off if they do that and don't give them a penny. You could just pay it off so you don't have to have anything to do with them ever again. I had to explain to them about 7 times (no exaggeration!) That's what I wanted to do. They were so thick they didn't understand and just kept adding fees.Does anyone know what will happen if I just contact the DD? Will Ashbourne just ask me for the outstanding balance or will there be extra fees?
I was charged £50 for missing a 6.99 direct debit payment
Yes a few days ago.Was this post on their fb?
How are you getting on, I am thinking about signing up for a few months. Nearly at end of journey and can’t be doing with rh anymore even though have paid till JulySimilar yes, much less pressure to meet all goals though.... I’m currently working to calories only. No app or anything. I contacted him via Facebook message to the Preece nutrition page
The Fast 800 by Michael Mosley is brilliant for fast weight loss and to often reverse T2 / pre T2 diabetes.
It depends on how many steps you want to do. The more steps the more calories. You can change it at any time. I changed mine a couple of times until I got the balance right. What are the daily calories on Preece I don't want to restrict myself?
Was this post on their fb?I saw that one too. She was very thin. I'm waiting to hear back from Ashbourne as to whether they'll let me cancel.
Right ok. Thanks for this, good to know!! I am definitely going to make an appointment and ask about this. I had no idea!! Thank you for this. They’ve fobbed you off. They do weight loss classes that last 12 months called More Life and another one (depending on your BMI). These groups are ran by a nutritionist and counsellor. You meet once a week via zoom and tackle weight loss issues and how to make lifestyle choices without doing a fad diet. You can also get up to 12 weeks of PT sessions (not during lockdown). Ask to speak to your GP and they can refer you xx
I have all the books and these were the principles I followed when I lost weight last time but it was very slow. I didn’t stick to the 800 cals daily but more of the 5:2 approach. Maybe I should knuckle down and do it properly. The Fast 800 by Michael Mosley is brilliant for fast weight loss and to often reverse T2 / pre T2 diabetes.
Oh god I did rebel fit, he’s another d*ck! Believes that once you are fat you will always be fat and has any many rules around food as SW!I wanted to like Rebelfit but I unfollowed (long before covid) because he was forever getting pulled up for saying shit. He would learn from it, for sure, he’d put his hands up, but it seemed to be happening so regular at one point I just distrusted him.
I have been following preece’s posts. All I see is kindness. And really, that’s the idea. Being kinder to ourselves AND our health. Not berating yourself for taking the cough medicine cause it’s got calories *shocker*
Edited to add - in Liams defence he wasn’t deleting and blocking everyone and ignoring the negative feedback.
Even in the early days of being a PT you are taught that negative feedback is vital, it will help shape you to be the person people want to go to.
He actually makes me feel physically sick the way he talksThe sad thing is that he is actually so deluded in thinking its funny!! So embarrassing, yet people are lapping it up???
