Totally agree, I think people only need to worry about macros if they’re nearing their goal weight and/or weight loss has plateaued, or if they are particularly interested in fitness or a specific sport. I can’t believe they charge £6.99 a month and their app doesn’t even work most of the time! Apparently he cut corners with the app but he makes out he paid top dollar for it. Wouldn’t trust anything he said now!
The app was rubbish! Half the time it didnt work , and if anyone had to audacity to question why, the i love richie clan would be down on them like a tonne of bricks!

Oh my he gets worse! If he was my partner I would be absolutely mortified and having a stern word. It’s so unprofessional, when people are paying for a service the least the provider could do is be polite and try not to swear, just shows how arrogant he is. Bad language doesn’t normally offend me but he takes it to the extreme!
Yes and this was posted on the public page! Not within the private members page.
He really thinks hes being edgy, when in reality he is showing how thick he really is!

oh god I used to follow these two in the early days and I could just about stand them then.
I can imagine him being proper nasty irl
I quite liked them in a way when they first started as they brought something a bit different and his manner was a bit shocking but it intrigued me and I thought he made good points. He just got progressively cruder and nastier, and has become a hypocrite as he’s worse than any diet club. I’ve seen/heard stories from people who left his group (staff and members) and he most definitely sounds like a horror in real life!

I don’t want to sound cynical but this page seems to be turning into a giant advert for Preece Nutrition! What exactly does he do which is so amazing and different from all the other diet groups?!!
Must admit I am fairly anti diet as they have appalling outcomes for 95% of those who use them. Only a lucky 5% tend to maintain their loss beyond five years and they have usually found exercise in a big way.

Rebelfit is very good in regard to this as he explains the science behind WHY we regain that weight. His advice is don't diet....eat what you want but consider nutrition and above all set small exercise goals and build on those.

Restriction doesn't work.

FWIW I think Preece is fabulous and far superior to any slimming club out there. I suspect he is still selling some kind of diet but don't know what this is. It'll be more realistic than SW or WW though.

Peter Preece was the Team RH nutritionist (he's actually qualified in it unlike some on that page) he left when all the bullying started and now has his own group.

I'm in his group and I've spoken to him about my own journey and struggles and he is the most genuine, down to earth person I've met (well online).

He wants people to succeed but appreciates that life can be hard and there's more to it that doing a million steps a day and becoming totally obsessed.
I second this, I just joined last night, he is lovely.

I will say this much: long post coming.

So... I wanted to get fit, over lockdown, I’d put on a few pounds and thought I wanted a bit of help with it.

Team RH said they could help teach nutrition but you still eat real food. Fantastic! So I learned I definitely needed more protein to support the exercise I do, that’s good, more fibre, more water, more movement. Healthy. But then they teach you to ignore your body’s signals.

They don’t monitor if you’re taking it too far. Before Xmas I felt I got too thin, so I started eating more (off of their plan) I felt better for it. I messaged them and said so and they said I had to go back to tracking every calorie even if I wasn’t happy with it as that’s the only way it works, fair enough...

I said I’ve reached my goal, what now? They added me into a group with a load of women with their bones sticking out who are then instructed to get their partners to use callipers on them and pinch their body fat each week to see if they are gaining body fat. If they do, 100 cals down, if they don’t, 100 cals up. The only way to avoid the body fat going up, is to do weights and build muscle and if that doesn’t work, you’re not trying hard enough...

As a feminist it didn’t sit right with me at all!

The women are all very lost and stressed and constantly asking if they look fat / need to diet more. There is minimal official help as the owner (Richie) admits this is 5% of his client base so they invest in the people losing fat as a priority.

The women are told to bulk, there is one woman held as the poster child for bulking who is eating something like 3400 calories a day (up and down 100 a week 😱) who is clearly just putting loads of weight on again who will then be expected to “cut” and reveal the muscle. But there is no instruction offered for anyone that doesn’t want to be a body builder. When I said I had had numerous panic attacks over using these callipers, especially as I have no training and it was telling me I was obese on the website you enter the data into, they (the coaches) just told me I need to practice more. How do you practice something you have no training in?! How can you say it’s safe for people who have prior disordered eating habits (I told them this from the start) to pinch bits of fat endlessly? I am really shocked and disgusted. I have reached out to others in the industry who have said that callipers work, if you want to be a body builder, but intuitive eating and learning about food is better mentally and unfortunately, in my option, team rh do not teach this outside of starve / bulk.
I wish I never signed up to this. Your experience is awful :/

One of the ex affiliates appeared on Preece Nutrition’s page this week wishing people a happy new year. She’s been through the mill because of RH and it’s affected her really badly mentally. I really felt for her as she was always so cheerful and full of energy and now seems like a shadow of her former self.

Oh they didn’t even offer to freeze my account

Also there appears to be no telephone number to contact this Ashbourne?
Team RH gave me their email when I wanted to cancel.
I'm getting all sorts of shit on Instagram for calling them out. I have no morals apparantly. Because I wanted to get into shape after having a baby I'm not enjoying him being a baby and I jumped in too soon.

Yea I actually made up a medical excuse 🙈 not very ethical I’m afraid and that got them off my case.
It comes to something when you have to do that because they won't listen to you. It's sheer bullying. If they can't even provide a legal contract then how do they expect to challenge you legally 🤔 absolutely disgraceful they've gone down this road. There was no need of it.

I’m working on it, my metabolism is trashed from starving down so much, I’ve gotten my period back finally though and am not freezing cold all the time, have put weight on faster than I’d like but I’ll balance out again like I usually do. ❤
Aw bless you sweetie! I’m glad Mother Nature has come back to visit! Hopefully onwards and upwards for you now doll xx ❤❤

Yep he posted once about how he loved her and how he'd met her when she was one weight and then she lost weight and regained a bit before losing again. It's okay as he still loved her....

He knew every single weight measurement Rachael had been ...so clearly was asking her or supervising her while she weighed. All a tad controlling for me.
Yes that was very weird- I see he’s now posting about how he’s overweight as this year has been so stressful...

I think the plan is great for those who have lost the bulk of their weight on another plan such as SW and then need guidance for going forward and maintaining.

I’d never seen any affiliate offering sign ups so that’s what made me wonder. Like you say - why on earth does that woman march in her kitchen or do seated workouts if she’s not being paid? Or are they all just narcissists seeking fame?! Such a bizarre set up!

Aaagghh this kind of mis-nformation all round drives me insane (am a PT) if someone could explain to those people what actually happens then maybe they would be able to understand what is going on. But noooo gotta keep them slaving away and confused and dependant on paying you money to be shamed. It's an embarrassment to the industry 😩

I mean he's *partially* right about the starvation mode thing and so many people use that term because that's what terms mainstream media, magazines and diet clubs use. If he could actually explain to them why it's incorrect and why the scale doesn't always move by 2lbs every week even if you are doing 20875477 steps a day, then people wouldn't be so damn confused and be able to accept non scale victories. But no he just calls them lazy fuckers. 😩
It's infuriating to read & I just feel so bad for those women thinking it's them doing something wrong and also thinking every trainer is like that.
I expect he’s got an hour long video “breaking it down for the stupid fuckers” or something that you’ll then have to invest your time into watching, until your brain leaks out of your ear...

From what I’ve heard they don’t get paid well at all, I think even the actual staff don’t get paid well for the graft they put in, unless he’s raised their pay since so many staff left!
God it just gets worse! What a horrible person he is! Another bad review on trustpilot i see, he jumped on it pronto though!!
