I signed up to TRH last September. I'd heard nothing but good things on social media sites and the reviews on trust pilot seemed overwhelmingly positive (now I know why) and it was such a waste of £50. I only lasted a few weeks. Some annoying things that happened...

It was nice to get a much higher calorie limit - I'm 5'0 and, despite having around 8 stone to lose, most TDEE calculators will default me to 1200 because of my height - but the protein limit was insane at 134g per day. Anyone asking about meeting protein on the facebook group was slammed as an idiot who didn't read the ultra basic image of high protein foods. In an ideal week I'll have 4/5 fully plant based days and, despite RH repeatedly saying that it was easy to meet any protein requirement on a vegan diet without protein powder I worked out it would take 7.7 big cans of chickpeas to get that amount of protein, which would also be the entire calorie amount allowed. Even on days where I had some fish or meat I struggled to get to 134g because I didn't want it for every meal.

Getting in 15,000 steps was exhausting. I'm WFH and it would take me around one hour to do 5,000 steps so I'd start work at 7, finish at 4 then go straight out (rain or shine) and walk as fast as possible non-stop until 7. I walk very slowly (a combination of tiny legs, asthma, and being large) compared to most people but I felt like a failure if I didn't get my steps in. He would say in the lives that when he was calling people lazy for not getting their steps he wasn't referring to people with health conditions but it sounded insincere whenever he said it. I think he was just pissed off that people had kept calling him out for it.

Someone mentioned on the group that they had a can of diet coke (2 calories) and the TRH app had logged it as 50 calories. They were told that there are some unhealthy foods/drinks that the app classes as more calories in order to stop you having them often. At this point I couldn't trust their app anymore.

The final nail in the coffin though was when RH started banging on about calories in medicines. He posted a huge rant about how people are so stupid because they don't know about calories in prescription medication and don't bother to count it because they're lazy and obviously don't give a damn about losing weight. For things like cough sweets (100 calories for 3) I could possibly understand but I was sitting there trying to work out how many calories were in my asthma tablets and panicking about taking them incase they were too high.

Luckily I gave my head a wobble, realised I could potentially become dangerously obsessed if I stayed there and deleted the app. I felt for ages like I was the only one who had an issue with them because, again, I hear nothing but good things. Pleased I've found this thread and it isn't just me who was bothered by their approach.

Welcome, yes the protein targets are insane.

Mine was at 120g a day but the WHO suggested that 84g was a safer aim so I looked to achieve that each day.

I also follow Rebelfit who I adore and eventually realised that despite their anti diet rhetoric TeamRH are just another batshit diet company. Anyone ranting about calories in medicines is batshit....I think Rebelfit called them out for some of their stuff. They blocked him from their page although he has never ever blocked them from his. He isn't a diet though and talks about health having loads of pillars...food and nutrition is just one. He's very HAES positive.

Yes! I’ve noticed this too. The baking one I think is heavier now than she started. Her body shape has completely changed but it is misleading when she lost the weight with a programme they rip to shreds.
Exactly! It’s false advertising really. I’ve noticed it on other fitness pages like Munro fitness too, a lot of people have lost most of their weight with a slimming club or similar but then shout about how great RH or Munro is. Really irritates me!

So I am one of the ex affiliates. The time I spent being affiliated with TeamRH has left me with mental health scars, that bad that I feel like i have PTSD when I see their posts.

The way we were treated as affiliates was so shocking. And the fact that some of them are still there, working for him makes me honestly sick.

Richie told me me I was too ugly to go live. And that I needed to wear make up and "nicer" clothes.

I didn't realise that they were now charging people for missing payments, but it does not surprise me in the slightest. That man is only interested in the money.

I was a member from very early on, and I was completely sucked in to their BS.

I was "lucky" to get out without him threatening me with legal actions, unlike a lot of the other affs, but the lasting affect he has had on my mental health. Not so lucky.
This is just awful. He deserves to be miserable every single day of his life. He's nothing but a bullying cock faced turd. He wants to look in the mirror before calling someone else ugly!

You’ll be most welcome in Pete’s group. No offensive language, no putting people down, no drama j- ust a decent, knowledgeable guy giving great advice and a group of lovely people. Best of luck on your weight loss journey!
Thank you! Yes I can already see it’s very different to RH so I’m looking forward to being a part of the group.

I joined 8 wks ago, up/down the same few lbs. Stuck 100% on plan for 3 full weeks, no change so contacted a coach who told me my cals were fine (well obviously not) tried to push protein powder heaps and eventually lower my cals by 200. Well nope can't do it. I actually feel sick after a few days of so many cals, coach wasn't having a bar of it. So just deleted standing order and fuck him. In not in the UK so not sure what Ashbourne can do but block block block.

I think if they state 12 month plan then people should expect to pay for 12 months. Most companies have T&C’s online and they are usually hidden away somewhere. It’s not right that they have debt collectors in and personally I think Ritchie is a d*ck but people do need to be more careful when signing up for things online.

I was charged £50 for missing a 6.99 direct debit payment
That is absolutely disgusting! Yet Richie and Rachael really care and it is not about the money ;)

A friend of mine gave them a 1 star review on trustpilot, that seemed to get their attention and get them a refund etc. They seem to very much not like bad ratings on trustpilot.

Excuse my French... but tell them to fuck off!! That inflated price must be against the law. Report them to trading standards
Did you ever see the video where their ex affiliate revealed how Richie and Richie recorded a phone call which very much distressed the affiliate, then played the recording of the very distressed ex affiliate who helped them grow the business infront of their office staff infront of office? If I remember rightly he said leave the affiliate process but then told her to close her facebook page she spent thousands of pounds on building up, whilst also bringing in great revenue audience in to them.

There’s definitely something about their relationship that doesn’t sit well with me. I could be wrong but he seems very controlling of her and always has to profess how supportive he is of her, usually if someone has to big themselves up like that the opposite is true. She seems a bit like a Stepford Wife, she’s very beautiful and very lean but she cones across a bit like a robot going through the motions. It’s like he’s the puppet master and she’s a beautiful little blonde meek Pinocchio!
Completely! There was one video where you could see he had s short fuse. He didn't snap or anything but it was an awkward moment. Reacting to something minor. It was about a year ago I was a member.
She always keeps her composure, seems very nice, gentle, dare I say more intelligent? They seem like a mismatched teenage couple. There's obviously something keeping them together but I thought she wouldve outgrown him.
Could picture him down the pub with his top off being a lout 😂

I WAS going to join RH but after finding this thread, it's a no from me. Like other posters, he seems too controlling, too shouty, too self righteous and a little bit controlling over HIS missus.

I’m going right near where the office/shop is for work in a couple of weeks. Really tempted to do a drive by and pelt it with doughnuts 😂

Thank you. I hadn’t thought of that but it’s worth a shot. I do feel that they aren’t qualified to give out diet advice and should be mindful of doing so when people have health conditions. It’s not always an excuse and sadly that seems to be the general consensus of TRH. You’re making an excuse. You’re lazy. Work harder. Track better. Do more. Ironically, someone with a thyroid condition has slipped through the net and has posted about not having good results. Can’t wait to see his response to that lol.

Thank you. New to this site so hope that I don’t erase this reply as I did when I first attempted it! Lol
I hadn’t thought of that, about deleting the app. I do think they will argue their point that they have supplied a service blah blah blah. I feel they have a culture of blaming the client. If it’s not worked for you it’s because YOU aren’t doing enough/ tracking incorrectly /
Lazy etc . Well what about when you are doing it all and more and still not losing weight? Surely a face to face PT/ nutritionist would say, something needs tweaking here. Let’s drop the calories by 50 and see how that goes? Something practical and reasonable? No TRH. They know best. Well.. you also expect them to. That’s why you’re paying them!! Sadly, I feel that there is less accountability on their part and that they do get it wrong. I’m probably a minority but I am paying client all the same and they haven’t given the guaranteed weight loss they promised.

I do feel they need to be more ‘transparent,’ ( he loves that word!) about the lack of qualified coaches they use to dish out the copy and paste replies. I also feel they need to be more mindful of people’s health conditions and not assume that members with existing health conditions are using them for an excuse as they very often allude to.
Feeling much better about it seeing this thread and realising I am not alone with being dissatisfied. Thank you
This is the one place they have zero control over either 🤭 just waiting for one of them to come on and rant and it'll be a big fat 🖕 from Tattle..

They always blame the customer, which is just disgusting. Many people have been shamed by their little gang. They sometimes listen half-arsed but mostly they just shout "you're not tracking accurately" It's not always the answer. Deffo not alone, you're among friends here who agree with you 😽

That is dreadful! Im so so sorry you were made to feel like that by those 'monsters'
I remember seeing a video which ex affiliate put on utube explaing the way she was treated by them, it was utterly disgusting, the emotion in her voice was clear to see! It was just after i joined, wish i had seen it before joining!
And to think he tries to portray himself as mr nice guy, what a hypocrite!
I think I know exact video you mean. Yet despite yourself seeing straight through those people after her video, she got told to ''let it go'' with Frozen film gif's as if she should shut up about it. Those people are almost as bad as perpetrators.

Imagine yourself or family being harrassed/bullied and having the guts to speak up, to then have people turn a blind eye and be absolutely awful to you? Imagine someone coming forward on tv about Saville, Epstein etc and the presenter saying ''let it go'' (obviously different circumstances). This is essentially the heartless cult they have built around themselves.

Thanks for kind words, I am in a better place now but avoid all of their social media or any affiliate they have to avoid PTSD triggers.

I was just reading old posts of theirs and I get the impression Rachael is estranged from her family? And he did a post about getting her away from toxic influences. God he really does seem a very controlling person. And he’s absolutely minging.
Crazy what view into people’s lives you can get just from snippets! Imagine what he’s like in real life 😬 like I said up thread, I’m going round the corner from him for work, I really want to pull up into one of the spaces he has made signs about whilst shoving a Maccy D’s into my gob and see if he makes a video about it 😂

He’s an absolute loon! Cannot ask a question without him loosing the plot. Also everyone had to do 15000 steps a day. If you said you couldn’t do this, you were basically called lazy. Peter was lovely, he’s gone on his own now. Peter Preece Nutrition. Jason from Munro was out of order in my opinion, totally ripped RH Fitness off!

Yep! You only need to count macros (in my opinion) if you are prepping for a show and need to adjust your body composition. For the average person just wanting to lose weight, calorie counting with moderate exercise and a focus of whole foods should do the job. People seem to go OTT eating protein every second and bouncing on the spot.
He did a live once with so much information it was just too much for the average dieter to comprehend!
Saying things like if you are a few grams short of your protein goal , or fibre, or supid fhings like that you wont lose fat! It was ridiculous really when i look back at the stuff he was saying!!

someone asking what did it say "
intercepted it before she seen it so not wanting to repeat it" - funny that eh? does it even exist?
I don’t believe it does! In the second screenshot he is justifying why Rach hasn’t been on camera much (like has been picked up on in this thread...) blaming trolls , not himself.

If he removed it in secret, what's the point in even mentioning it. Control freak he needs to see a psychiatrist 😳

I bet it wasn't even bad. I wonder what counts as trolling to him 🙄
I’ve just seen it. I think it’s absolutely appalling that he contacted someone’s employer. It makes him just as bad.

I want to know this too. I'm considering signing up with Preece, what's the plan like in comparison to Team RH?
I found them pretty useless. Can use mfp & watch better exercise videos on YouTube for free.
I don't know details and it doesn't do any good dragging it up but Ibhave been in Pete's group from the beginning, he didn't charge for the first 4 months! Was a member of Team RH before that.

Re joining Preece. There are 3 plans relaxed, lifestyle and I'm sorry I can't remember the other.
Relaxed you just have your calories and don't have to think about macros, just stick to your calories and do your steps. The difference is you tell Pete how many steps you will be doing and then he gives you the calories.

You can message Pete anytime, no question is judged or treated like you are a nuisance and he sends you a voice note. He is supportive and understanding.

The other plans do include you hitting your macros I think (am on relaxed plan so haven't looked too much at the other 2 plans) but Pete let's you decide which plan suits you best and you can change if you want to one of the other plans.

The group is supportive and I do love Pete's approach I never dared ask for help in team rh but Pete is understanding that we all have stuff in our lives that we have to work around. He understands it is not easy to break bad habits/relationships with food and genuinely helps you.

Only you can decide if Preece Nutrition is for you, maybe message Pete on the Preece page and have a chat with him to see if you feel it will be right for you.
