One thing that occurs to me the deepfake porn stuff: yes, this stuff has been around for years and many women (famous and not) have been victims of it. It’s been in the news in the UK this week because a 14-year-old took her own life after being subjected to it by boys at her school.
And yes it’s kind of annoying that all the powers-that-be sit up and take notice because this time the fakes have targeted Taylor. BUT she has the chance to really do something here. She has the resources, and the influence, to push for actual changes in the law, and I really hope she does.

Re: the bit in bold - that's not all it is. It's saying she has needs that are as important as his. Yes he has mental health issues and she has accepted that, but constantly giving into those issues and letting them consume him is hurting her as well as him. I don't blame her for wondering if he uses it as an excuse. It's a beautifully sad, complex song, but I'm not surprised it wasn't on an album of hers. Same with the Alcott.

To be honest she strikes me as very much her needs are more important and why cant you just pull yourself together.

Im on the other end of it though and ultimately unless you suffer badly with MH you actually have no idea and it can look like youre doing nothing when actually surviving every day is you doing everything you possibly can to cling on.

I think she is v self centred. If you were to believe everything she writes shes barely ever done anything wrong in any of these failed relationships and she is always the wronged party. Its never her. Even when she was dating an almost child. 🫠

I'd argue the only reason things got too critical (I personally don't see an issue with it and think it would have leveled off on it's own) is because the fandom will not let people say anything less than glowingly positive even if it's not a criticism. It results in people getting pent up and just unleashing when they had the chance! It would have calmed down if the die hards just left it alone but they are just way too controlling! It's not that deep so why try and silence people so much. It's troubling behaviour.

I wish we could have an open and honest discussion about her but it never happens. Some of those redditors are die hard fans and some people don’t even like Taylor at all. Where are the people like me - love her music but don’t think the sun shines out of her butt?!
