Thank you xx I keep being sick, can't eat, ache all over especially under my ribs and no sense of smell. Started coughing badly this morning and the stuff is a vile green. It's not pleasent. Lying on my bed with the fan on drinking water.
Mr M is currently negative Xxx
I’ve had it twice (the first time was v end of January before it was known about, teen brought it home from school and all 3 of us had it and we are now certain that’s what it was), and teen has had it 3 times thanks to school!

It’s horrible, but I really do hope it progresses and goes quickly. I know this latest variant isn’t supposed to be very nice, as you’re finding, but I think it’s meant to be short-lasting so I really am hopeful that you’ll be feeling more yourself in just a few days.

Sending you the biggest hug, and wishing there was more I could do xxx

Darling friends 💕
After 2.5 years of staying Covid free I started to feel really unwell this morning and my breathing got bad. I have been in touch with the hospital respiratory and cardiology teams and given medication. I was told to take my temperature with was 38.3 and a lateral flow test, as I have Covid symptoms which are wiping me out.
Today is not my lucky day and have just tested positive!
I'm not even going to try and catch up on the main thread for a bit - so will read any TLDR updates when up to it. What a shite week!
Take care and sending my love to all
A xxx

I don't go out much and pretty sure this is another "gift" from our crappy night in London last week. The hotel even charged us twice so Mr M has been sorting that, he feels rubbish but so far negative.
I felt rough last night whilst typing out a "Statement" of the debacle whilst fresh in my head just in case.
I'm resting, drinking water and trying to keep meds down. The aching and headache is horrendous. Reported to NHS & ordered more tests.
We were the only family members to not catch it since March 2020.
How did you all feel with this and for how long?
Not telling my daughter's obviously as don't want to cloud their week or Wedding.
You are all fantastic. Much Love back xxxx

I really hope you start to pick up soon and it doesn’t last too long for you, the aching is the worst isn’t it 😭 I remember when I got it in November 2020 at one point I just sat on the floor and cried at how much I was hurting all over 😭 sending all my love ❤

To be truthful apart for a sore throat for 24 hrs and a cough nothing put the cough down to my asthma, so went we did the tests I was surprised as I haven't been over the door since before Covid hit in March 19, With having no immune system with SLE I thought I would have been a whole lot worse but nothing wee even asked the specialists if the test could be wrong he said not so maybe the covid jabs are working, apart from feeling tired all the time which is nothing different to the norm I like you just keep plodding long. Hoping things settle down quickly for you without too much inconvenience and OH stays negative. Much love and gentle hugs being sent your way

Thanks @Miss Ophelia
I just thought "this has to be false" as I have sanitizer everywhere & so careful. Like you, a list of issues including asthma meant I shielded for a really long time.
Taken some Co-codamol & youngest fur son is bring really sweet. The NHS thingy just says isolate for 6 days and the hospital have been great which is more than I can say for the surgery.
My girls and other family/friends arrived in Turkey late last night, TUI fucked up the seats, separated everyone and there were bags missing as my youngest
emailed me at 2am.
Also, did you feel 'safer' during lockdowns? I know it sounds odd but i did and liked the peace!
Much Love A xxx 🐔💕🤗

Oh yes loved it the peace and quiet was brilliant, I stayed home as I was vulnerable let the healthy ones get on with their lives and keep everything open. I think people are still cautious even the healthy, many want to work from home for various reasons, places that are left opened very few people are going, I think we still have lots to learn about Covid yet but I don’t think in our lifetime we will find out why. All only my opinion. Take care love and hugs. ❤❤❤

Same. I felt a feeling of peace and safety. Going away last Thursday was right out of my comfort zone as I think chronic illness and indeed this pandemic changes people. I'm such more introverted.
Had a really bad night. Mr M is not well and off sick but so far negative. Temp has gone up this am.
It's like bad flu/chest infection with 🤮
The Omicron variant has an incubation period of around 3 days so makes sense it was caught on that nusty trip! Xxx

Thank you @Miss Ophelia will try and eat something bland! 😘 xxx
Lots of fluids, rest and keep warm xxx
Thanks @Pollyanna263 xxx It must have been hard when all 3 of you had Covid. It seems most people have had this nasty virus. Thank God for the jabs! My brother, his kids and both my daughters and their partners have had it (the teacher daughter that's getting married, twice, quite badly). It really is so highly infectious no matter how many precautions we take.
Can't smell a damn thing 🤪 xxx
Lots of Love to everyone 💕

@Wize Owl 🦉Hope you're ok schweet'arrrt xxx 💕

Hello you wise wonderful people....I hope you are all ok?

I'm after some opinions and I know you lot are wonderful at these 🤣

I'm in a job I hate ..like really hate...I'm trying to get something I want , and been offered that job on a temp basis which might turn out permanent!

Would you quit the permanent job you hate , do do temp job you want .....it's a big risk but I think I have to do it!

Ooooh!

Is it temp, or temp to perm?

How do you know it might turn out perm?

Can you afford financially to take the risk?
Would you be happy / able to take another temp job or something/anything to get by until you found a perm job in the interim if the temp job ended?

It's supply just now covering a member of staff who's left , the company need clarification from the top that they can have a permanent worker for me to get the job.

Yes we probably could manage if we were a bit more careful and if I boosted my wage slightly with network marketing sideline I have...

I probably would be slightly worse of but would be better in long run mentally and for children

Sometimes we have to go down a different road but can understand the reluctance to change direction, I think most jobs nowadays are temporary so that they cover their back if it doesn’t work out and they want to change employee without the hassle of getting rid. I had a job I hated that bad I had to drag myself out of bed to go to work it’s not a good place to be or help your mental health, sometimes we just need to have faith. It seems there are plenty of jobs about so what is there to lose. Would you manage leaving the permanent job? Whilst you find another permanent position? On the other hand if you don’t jump you will look back and think I should have jumped, fly high you never know where you will land. Good luck whatever you decide. Gentle hugs
