Tbf she liked an antisemitic tweet so nothing racist about it. But let’s wait to hear Tan’s hot take about it🙄
I believe the Labour party to be institutionally racist, though I don't want to derail the thread. But yes, it does pose Tan with a problem - is the liked tweet more or less antisemitic than, for example, donning a Hitler moustache and doing the Sieg Heil salute while standing next to someone who's wearing an I 🖤 Hitler T shirt?

How is Tan's plan to get all the opposition parties to work together to defeat the Tories going?

She "boycotted" Question Time last night. That's "boycotted" in the same way I boycott snooker. By not watching it.

I've 'boycotted' (haven't watched) QT since Jack Monroe was on it, where's my medal

I love the way people say they boycotting tv programs thinking it means something.
It’s the very lowest level of political activism, (alongside posting snarky comments on Twitter and thinking you’re making a difference, obvs)

Online campaigns down with this sort of thing votes make me laugh the most. If 200k people agree they have to listen. No they don't. Empty vessels make the most noise. I've enjoyed catching up on this one. New to me still.

I am also boycotting QT because I can't be arsed to watch it.

Tan probably puts "called Johnny Mercer 'Johnny Minge' " on her CV.

Didn’t we have a vote on a different voting system when it was the hung parliament with the cons/lib dems? I seem to remember it was one of the conditions of the libs dems going into government with them. I can’t remember the alternative voting system that was proposed but the overwhelming opinion seemed to be stick with FPTP
yes, the AV referendum, it was 2011 (I only remember it so clearly because I was very excited, as I'd turned 18 a month or so before, so it was the first time I voted)

As someone who lives in Scotland PR voting ain’t all it’s cracked up to be, our country has been bankrupted by the SNP-Greens 😭 FPTP has its faults but at least we’ll hopefully see a proper majority come July

She'll be getting a shock because as much as she is suddenly trying to frame it as 'hold your nose and vote Labour' she has been banging the drum so loudly and so long that when all the progressive stuff that has either been promised or just imagined is dumped there'll be nowhere relevant for Tan and friends to run to in terms of sustaining engagement. Can't exactly tilt to the Socialist Worker's Party of Britain a month after a Labour win.
