I will be very surprised if it’s not a taxi for Karen after this series. I wasn’t keen on her when she joined, then I loved her and now I’m ready for her to leave again. Personal issues aside she doesn’t seem to bring out the best in her celebs any more. It’s a shame but def her time to go.

I know Layton is a ringer, but I love him. Of course he is a fantastic dancer, but he also has great character, and attitude, and unique style. Most of all, he has the most wonderful partnership with Nikita. The two of them are perfect for each other.

Agreed. Their partnership is just perfect. Nikita.

The biggest disappointments to me are Eddie and Nigel. I thought Eddie would be so much better than he is and he has not delivered at all. Whether that's down to Karen or whether he just doesn't have it in him, is a mystery. Nigel is clearly a great performer but his dancing hasn't lived up to (my) expectations. By no means dreadful but he hasn't blown my socks off yet.

Biggest surprise for me is Krishnan. Total joy.

Oh no. I've been trying to jump in on the conversation here the last couple of weeks but the vibes are so negative on these threads. Strictly is a source of joy and I'm really enjoying this year. All I see is negativity about everything on this thread and it kind of sucks the joy out of it

I don't care if we're not getting jaw dropping dances at this stage, everyone bar two couples were a joy to watch. I honestly think the likes of Kelvin and Danny have spoiled some viewers and they expect WOW moments from the get go so anything that's simply good or pleasant to watch isn't enough... (But only if the media aren't ramming their dance training down our throats).

I don't see how Layton gets the "oh it's unfair" treatment from the same people who still give out that Ore won over Danny. Especially when Nigel, Angela S and Ellie all have previous dance training too, and Nigel has a hefty musical background given his age too.

Anyway. All this to say it's a shame this thread is a bit of a downer it feels Almost uncool to say I'm really enjoying the show this year

This is tattle….and I’m amazed how generally nice this thread is compared to many on this board! I’ve given up with a few I was on in the past for that reason ( being ultra mean , not ultra nice).

My 7 yr old sobbed for 20 minutes when Les was voted out- we have re-watched his ships captain dance (I have to call it that because I genuinely don’t remember what type of dance it was actually meant to be) at least 10 times.

There really is no accounting for taste.

When my now-teenager was tiny, we had to watch Chelsee & Pasha’s Shrek jive on continuous repeat. This was before the days of streaming so I lived in permanent fear of the hard drive accidentally being wiped. To this day, I know every microsecond of that dance in vivid detail. It could be my specialist subject on Mastermind.

It’s made my day that Les has at least one die-hard fan

I think with that, Giovanni will not return next year. He knows he had a good shot with Amanda and it didn't work out, he's already checked out to go dicking about with Tony Beak and playing to seaside venues full of Lady Lavenders spraying his naff cologne around.

Ellie is so good but I wish they'd stop styling her hair so harshly scraped back off her face - she has far too much forehead for that and it honestly looks painful how tightly it's been done. I fear for her roots Jojo Siwa style. Some soft, face framing pieces would look so pretty.

James Jordan claims Nigel's dance was a 4 and Layton's dance was a 6. Does he have a bee in his bonnet about ringers or what? Seems really strange to me, those are unusually low scores.
