That's subjective. Dan comes across as a nice regular guy who is loving his experience and seems genuinely grateful and has improved as he has gone on. They also have a really nice partnership to watch. I've never liked Dan on bbc but he has completely changed my opinion of him on strictly. Jamie just came off as a joker and show off/attention seeker. Nice enough but nothing particular to warm to

Before I read through listing my thoughts before I forget. (Didn't watch strictly until yesterday, I went out on a Saturday night

Rose - liked her confidence and Paso armography but the choreography and they way she moved reminded me of Stacey Dooley's Paso.
Dan - he didn't do much dancing and hips, but he looked comfortable and Nadiya was a clever
distraction
AJ - disappointed, transitions were blocky and no one mentioned the routine had ripped off singin' in the rain cyd charisse (even down to the green dress!)
Rhys - nice to see a calm dance! Would prefer traditional tails. Tess mentioning his crying, awful and treating him like a 5 year old.
Tilly - enjoyed her dance she did a great samba. Undermarked and negative feedback.
John - too much gapping and I'd like to have seem more legs from him. I didn't find it passionate.
Results show - gutted for Tilly, she should have stayed.
Nikita should have kept the shirt on until the final goodbye dance. Was fun but then cringey when it looked like a ghost shirt floating independently

I hope Rose wins too! not only does she have a lovely personality, she has a huge talent and out of all the contestants has an extra challenge to overcome, she is truly amazing!

Also my mum quite likes Dan (she doesn’t vote) and she says it’s bc she thinks he’s better than Susannah Reid and she likes seeing Nadiya do well.

Fair point! I'm not from the UK so was not familiar with Dan or his work before Strictly. I'm going solely on what I've seen on Strictly. A lovely genuine man for sure. He has improved but is the least talented dancer of the contestants left at this stage. I suppose I just don't get the hype about him!

I'm no dance expert so don't know what the judges look for...I do know that I enjoyed watching Tilly's samba...she was having fun and it showed in her dance. She just went for it and it was enjoyable.
Dan, has surprised me when I've expected awful dances, where he has performed (not necessarily danced well) but made it an enjoyable 90 seconds eg lobster, MC hammer and the tik tok one. He's not a Jon Sargent or Anne widdicombe so should be voted in to stay previously.

For me a lack or progression is just as bad as not being very good. For that I think John should be out next. I don't want Dan to win but I'm not against him being there as he is at least learning and improving. He isn't a joke act.

If that was the case then Motsi would never have given Oti a 10 purely because they are sisters. It was a bull score from someone who isn’t qualified to judge dance.
That is my worry if Dan's popularity continues we could end up with a AJ and JJ semi-final dance off. Loosing one of the two best dancers in the entire competition will be hard to take especially in the semi-final.

I think there is a good portion of the Boaty McBoatface anarchic side of the strictly viewership voting for him just like John Sargent.
Dan seems to love the sound of his own voice. He's like that uncle at weddings that tries to be funny and crack jokes at any opportunity for attention. Crap dancer and doesn't deserve to make it this far. WHo's voting for him? Is it the Christian community supporting their man? I'm baffled.
Rhys I think is a one-trick-pony. Great at all the high-energy dances, but that's about it really. His dance this weekend was dull as dishwater. And for god's sake, please close your mouth! You look like The Mask!
Tilly I think left at the right time but I quite enjoyed her to be honest. Great chemistry with Nikita (wouldn't be surprised if they got together in the future). And loved Gordon's face when he took his top off yesterday!
AJ and Kai are great, she's an amazing dancer. Part of me wonders if she's almost too good that she becomes forgettable? Her standard is so high that a 9/10 score is becoming 'ok'.
John and Johannes are my faves. John does really well to move his unit of a body around, and Johannes is the best pro in my opinion. Think they still have room for improvement though!
