I find it funny how he claimed they don’t follow the school curriculum but of course make sure Lacey finishes “school” when the others do. It doesn’t add up at all 😄

I bet she hasn’t learn anything at all in this past and a half month.

They don't even assess her to make sure she's taking anything in. Its just worksheet after worksheet with no end goal. No special topics like they'd have at school. I can't believe she's meant to be in high school and working at the same stage as her little sister pretty much.

Giving Lacey 2 massive hot dogs, and 2 on the side. And Chloe drinking fizzy lucozade 😵 Liam not getting dressed all day and staying in bed

Lacey broke up on Thursday because it was shop day.... They have really dropped themselves in it there haven't they. So she doesn't do any home schooling on shop days, they cant even be doing a full days worth of work with her within a week!

The hot dogs are bad but I cant believe they are giving their children Lucozade! I only ever drink that when I am ill or doing a lot of exercise and even then it can make my head spin due to the amount of sugar and caffeine!

who has a full day off to go to shops. It takes an hour at most . Two for them as they like to visit muiltple shops . Back in the house from 11am . Still 4 hours to do school work . Or is Steve that lazy a trip to shop takes it out of him so he needs the day off . They only sit her in front a workbook anyway .

Val is always saying to him in Comments you need to slow down you rush about all day. He really thinks he has it hard and the way they live is nomal. The kids diets are awful never know kids that get shakey dizzy spells etc over food.

Nothing this family says makes any sense.

Steve says he doesn't have to follow the National Curriculum. However he starts winding down Lacey's home schooling just because the other kids are not doing as much work in school and he follows which ever school breaks up first and goes back last.

I wonder if they will give Lacey an extra week off just because Chloe has one!

Considering that Val has Diabetes they really should be keeping an eye on their diets even more, especially when they frequently say how dizzy and week they are feeling. As a family they consume way to much sugar, I am not surprised they don't sleep. When was the last time any of them visited a dentist? Sophie was supposed to get new glasses as well which haven't been mentioned.

By not following the curriculum, he means that he doesn't have the capabilities to teach Lacey at a level that would be similar to what she'd experience at school so he has massively overplayed how incapable she is of doing anything. She doesn't take anything in because the methods of teaching in the mainstream school probably weren't compatible with her autism. Teachers at the specialist schools are trained to teach those with additional needs and Lacey could've thrived. In an ideal world, he wouldn't be home schooling - he has no passion for giving his daughter an education. You'd never catch him preparing creative resources in the evening so that Lacey could wake up to something other than a worksheet or planning lessons around green spaces they could visit in the area. He probably doesn't even know that a lot of homeschoolers don't just call it a day when the mainstream schools go on half term. They let their kids stay home instead of going on school trips - that wouldn't slide in any other household unless there was a valid reason like with Lacey's genuine anxiety. They're creating a tribe of mini Steves who don't strive towards anything and have no interests or dreams for the future :(

granted I only know two couples that homeschool. But they both attend clubs with other homeschoolers. Right now Lacey has zero interaction with anyone outwith her house. Nothing at all. What way is that to live. Are they trying to set her up for a life with no friends. Will she get to 18 and still not interact with anyone apart from family? Is that what Steve wants someone at home depending on him for everything so he can never work ? He already plays up saying she isn’t capable of things she is .

If they ever joined a home schooling group they would realise very quickly how little they were doing compared to other parents.

I don't know how long she has been doing Home education for now but she is still doing the same stuff she was doing on day 1.

With homeschooling, the learning is meant to be so enthralling that children don't want to stop just because its the weekend or half term. Obviously nobody expects 24/7 one-on-one learning with Lacey but they're hardly swept off their feet like most parents with 4 kids would be beause they don't regularly leave the house. Steve just gives her sheets she'd have done years ago at school so of course she's as bored and clueless as she was back then. The 'life experience' as Steve likes to call it could actually be done in an educational way if he knew how to. Learning how produce makes it onto the shelves when they do their weekly (daily) shops. Learning about different ingredients and how they work in recipes instead of Lacey just stood there while Rachael pours a jar of lasagne sauce into the mince. The problem is, Steve can't teach if he doesn't have the knowledge himself. They don't even focus on what Lacey likes such as art and try to learn as much as they can about different art styles, she's just given some paper and pens to doodle with. Even the ipad and macbook probably has different features to do graphic design on. They've definitely bitten off more than they can chew with the homeschooling and I'd be embarrassed documenting it online if that's how I was educating my future child. I've heard from several homeschooling parents through my degree and they all give their kids thrilling educations without spending a ton of money or being all-knowing on absolutely every single subject ever - they all put whatever shitshow you call this homeschooling to shame.

I saw a couple of people post that they hope they were wearing face masks while doing the shopping. Maybe more was said afterwards?

He probably panicked that people are going to come down on them over that…I’m just glad they didn’t transmit it to Val or Bill through the shopping they did…

It's strange because all of his playlists have gone and so has everything in the community tab.

Val mentioned Sophie and school again. I wonder if his YouTube is giving her trouble at school. I imagine it would. I remember whats it like and if she as she says hates most people at her school . They would have a field day with Steves YouTube . He has shown her in her bed. All the clips of her and Tiny .
