He said the work books were temporary and they were going to have more in place after summer. I imagine it will involve visits to museums, swimming . Long walks looking at nature . Joining home schooling groups you know that sort of thing . I’m sure he will have her learning languages too like Liam will be doing . Or we will just have work books that are far to young for her. Why he denied her place at a school that she would have thrived at i will never know.

I wish they would do all that but I really cant see that happening.

This year is a really important year for both her and Liam they were both supposed to be starting secondary school. There is more to education than just English, Maths and Science. How are they going to cover all of the subjects when they spend the majority of the time at the shops!

Either that’s sarcasm or you’re deluded 😂

I think we will hear the same old 'We're starting from the basics because she didn't learn anything for two years at school'

The thing I don't think they understand is that Lacey has additional needs. There is a chance that the school were doing all they couldn't but it just wasn't sinking in.

I don't actually think they realise how much support and specialist teaching she needs.

It’ll definitely be more of the workbooks that are too young for her and Steve going on about how they’re just going over the basics again as she doesn’t take it in. If that’s the case though, he should have been going over stuff with her most days, even in the holidays. Obviously not all day in the holidays, but just implement stuff into every day life. Her school days are short as it is anyway!

My son is home ed, but we don’t follow school holidays etc as he massively struggles with change. Holidays and weekends where always a challenge when he was at school. I get that might be more difficult when you have more than 1 child, but if it’s a part of daily life, it doesn’t have to involve sitting at a desk. Also, Lacey has different needs to her siblings and learns differently so sometimes things will have to be done differently whether Lacey see’s that as fair or not. I do get the feeling Lacey’s biggest barrier to learning is her anxiety/nerves. She’s capable of a lot more than Steve makes out. The issue is, he isn’t capable of teaching that to her. That’s not to insult him, I wouldn’t be able to do it at that level either for a variety of different subjects. That’s exactly why the special needs school would have been a good option.

At the very least though, he needs to be taking her out more. Not keeping her stuck in the house. She was out and about and managed fine on holiday. She did look nervous in the busier places, but during term time, it’s a lot quiet to go places! We don’t go out as much during the holidays for that reason, but we do when schools are back as it’s quiet.

I think they really should have given the new school a chance. To turn down the place without even going to look round and speak to staff was just silly.

How bizarre to mention a cousin who lives around the corner now and say Liam was going to met him as they don’t know each other. Doesn’t Liam have his own friends to go to high school with?

Out of all the YouTube families I follow and even the families I know in real life these guys are definitely the laziest and most negative family I have come across.

They never used to be like this, they used to just be an average family which I think a lot of people could relate to.

I have never seen other YouTube families, even the ones who daily vlog allow there children to just sit there all day playing on tablets and laptops. They used to put effort in to making healthy meals but now they just seem to live on processed Iceland food. The home schooling and bedtime situation is a joke and all they do is moan about everything.

Most of the clips I see of Lacey and Chloe now are just them sat there on devices. I am not surprised that the children get so nervous about things because there is nothing to distract them from there worries because they don't go anywhere.

Those children are addicted to their devices and its a real shame. Chloe is only 5.

I totally agree, when I first start watching four years ago they where so different.
I think they all live in a bubble, there is nothing wrong being close to your family, but when it starts to effects outside life ie no outside friends or hobbies it becomes dangerous especially for the kids.

I can’t recall any of them reading a book, drawing, playing a game etc during the holidays. Nothing creative, Every vlog they are on their devices. It’s a depressing watch.

I do remember Liam went through a stage of reading around Christmas time think it was diary of a wimpy kid series but he is the only one I have ever seen with a book in his hand.

I know you shouldn't compare people but when you watch other YouTube families or just see how different these people are to yourself, family and friends you start to realise how isolated they are.

There were three separate clips in todays vlog where Lacey and Chloe were sat there on devices every single time. That's isn't healthy.
Lacey has now been taken out of school and has not contact with other children, that is seriously going to effect her social skills and anxiety.

They also haven't seen there friends throughout the whole of the holidays! Its a shame because I bet Chloe has friends at school but Steve or Rachel would probably never invite them around for her.

So utterly bizarre. My mum would make sure I'd get fresh air probably most days of the school hols, even if I was happy just playing inside. Wouldn't be surprised if all the kids need glasses in the future because of the amount of time they spend on their screens.

They should go for some nice walks with the dogs, take a picnic and get some fresh air regularly

Exactly we were forever at the park during the summer holidays with a picnic. It costs nothing they would need to eat lunch at home anyway . Plus they gave away the only thing in the garden that would actually get them some exercise to make space for more animals. Such a bizarre family .
