I actually loved the routine of it. I haven’t played for a while but I found it very comforting just doing the same thing every day. Caring for my farm and then hoeing my way round the town dating everyone

How do people fish? I cannot catch anything and it’s stopping me from completing the community centre. I have the fibreglass rod and crab pots already.
Are you on PC or console? I hate fishing on the console, that mini game drives me up the wall, if you are on PC though you can get a mod that by passes it an just instantly catches the fish, console though its just practice, but you can buy stuff from Willy's that helps slow the fish down so the bar doesn't jump as much
You have to keep the fish on the green bar. I'm sure there is a training rod you can buy which might make things easier!(There's probably a mod for fishing as well if your on pc!)

I was absolutely awful at fishing in the beginning, found it nearly impossible, but it just took a lot of practice!

The training rod is really good in the beginning but remember it is only beneficial till I think level 5, the training rod gives the same size of bar as that so once you are past 5 you are better with the iridium rod, plus training won't catch higher value fish

No worries, it will just be practice with fishing, I used to on console just keep tapping the button rather than hold it down, it seemed to help me out, but try some of the fishing aids from Willy's, you unfortunately can only equip one at a time but you have a few different choices from slowing the bar down to making the bar a bit longer, am sure different food as well can give buffs that help

Fishing really is just practice. It’s one of those annoying things that just clicks after loads of time doing it. Practice on easy fish too to get your confidence up. Anchovy, herring, flounder, carp are all good slow fish. Give up early if you hook a fish where the bar is shooting about. In late game there are things you can buy that make it easier if you’re going for perfection @ClaretFairy
