Jeez Louise! I have always avoided the Brits when on holiday (I am British) and all of this has reminded me why. Get a pint of beer, an English flag, and some sun on them and they morph into brainless idiots! Remind me why we are frightened of “them”, looks to me like we have enough issues of our own!
Yeah the weather isn’t helping (for once). Riots generally happen during the summer when it’s warm and dry.I've just been reading the Wikipedia article about the 2011 riots. If it's anything like that this time, we've got a way to go. As I recall there was little that could be done to stop the rioting. It just petered out. We need it to start raining.

Sorry hadn’t realised I hadn’t posted the vid but have seen this one and a few others but this doesn’t appear to be a good thing. I couldn’t give a duck if there is a wiki definition of things but last thing we need is rival gangs out beating the tit out of each other.

Is he definitely on holiday? I've read several reports today saying he hasn't gone and isn't planning to go on holiday and will be at his office in London this week as expected.
It's hard to know what to believe sometimes. If he has gone away - what the hell?!

They're live streaming a protest on sky news with commentary. It feels so bizarre. There's nothing really happening - all just standing around - but I find the live streaming with commentary so strange.

I think part of the problem is that people are consuming and disseminating fascist propaganda without even realising it.

I can't believe I'm watching people throw stones and sticks at riot police live on Sky News. The police are backing away from the protestors now. It must be so scary for them and their families.
