Anyone else being constantly recommended content by Lauren quacquarelli? English girl with an Italian dad living in puglia with her Italian husband. I'm so intrigued by her life, she doesn't seem to work at all but is constantly in fancy restaurants etc. I assume paid by her husband?

No, but now that I went to check her YT and IG I probably will. And yeah, at a brief glance her content seems like all she does is go to the sea, visit cities and go to restaurants. I wonder what the real deal is.

So I saw she had advertised for her private English lessons, but LinkedIn is basically FT tik toker now. Lol.

Somebody used Google translate instead of asking their Italian BF. I wouldn't have used "etichetta" since it's more commonly used as label/tag. And it's cappelliera where you store overhead items on the plane. So now is she going to try writing everything (awkwardly) in Italian, too? Lol. I'm morbidly curious.

It annoys me Sofie seems to be friends with those 2 ditzes. Of the 3 only one speaks the language, has an actual job and is integrated. Sofie has her flaws but it's a strange friendship, IMO.

And lol...I agree with your ideas about Kylie. I'm sure Kylie would also take jabs at the beauty industry, despite her actually owning Chanel and YSL products lol. And don't forget, Kylie won't be drinking.

I would love to see that Kylie "accidetally" lapsing into Italian constantly to highlight how fluent she is, flirting wjth the waiter, making a show of not drinking and just having water and none of the apero snacks

Does anyone complain more than Lauren? Lol. Also it's like she/they did zero research on traveling the Philippines. And of course they moved to a luxury hotel in the meantime. I swear she'd be one of those people who goes to Santo Domingo or St Martin in early November bc prices are cheap then cries bc a hurricane ruins the trip lol.

Also since we're on the topic of Lauren. Her content is strange to me. @emm first asked if anyone had seen her and what a nice life she seems to lead, when I looked (and still check in), it's mainly about her. She doesn't offer much insight or info. It's stories of her partying with her BF and friends, swimming in Puglia or Sardegna or other enviable places, close ups of her face, body shots, Kardashian style ass shots, going to parties, having designer logos, visiting cities "for work" but again focusing on herself rather than a place. So yeah, I can see why people question her purpose other than self promotion.

Back to Sofie, I assume her mother remarried very well.

I was excited she was moving to Florence, since I lived there and love it. But her content is just very blah lately, IMO. As you noted earlier, maybe the brand influence?

When I was 12 I dressed in short, tight clothing so I don’t really care much about that(it’s like a preteen/early teen rite of passage ) but if Sofie’s concerned about how girls are dressing and social media’s effect on them then she shouldn’t be posting photos or videos of them in bikinis dancing.

I mean it is...but for thousands of men to see these days on loop isn't something I'd expect her to put in her stories.

That's what I thought! Re: pilates. I've been wondering this for a while now. I'm glad the baby is healthy now, but it looks odd she mentioned her medical leave for being high risk, yet now she's out and about promoting as an "influencer", getting waxed/beauty appts and pilates. Boh.

Cheryl stopped doing videos 5ish years ago, when she started dating her current boyfriend. She had a baby around five or six months ago. She was always one of the better travel vloggers imo.

Maybe Zoey felt in a rush to find “the one” after seeing all of her youtuber friends having kids and being in long, steady relationships.

God I earned about 2000 a month when I lived in Rome and felt rich with that, I cannot even imagine earning as much as that!

I guess that's why the Florence appartamento is pretty spacious and new lol.

I know she promotes MZ Wallace bags every so often. I wonder if the "payment" is simply being gifted all the bags or there's a monetary amount, as well. There probably is.

Today aired the episode of Slow Tour Padano with my friend Bailey, who is also a "content creator" on TikTok and Youtube like Lauren, but in the episode you don't see Bailey constantly recording "content" and they don't threaten to take her phone away at the end of the episode LOL

Yeah agree with you both. It seems already she's heading into FT Influencer. Plus the vibe I get is she won't want to work anyway with a baby. I can already see the "we have no family near enough to babysit and Emilio works so I'm all alone and have so much stress." excuse lol.

I wonder if she is saving up a lot of footage to publish when she's had the baby? I remember in her Q&A video there were snippets at the beginning of her crying about language barrier and talking about getting some documents. Unless those were just clickbaity previews that never will actually show up later on...

Natural except she's already stated that she will have the epidural, no questions asked. At least she is smart enough to do that and not try and do some home birth granola nonsense. LOL can you imagine her giving birth at home? Hungry hungry Barolo would try to eat the placenta I'm sure (love Barolo, no shade to him at all).

She talks like it’s impossible for immigrants to have money. I do not deny that it is incredibly difficult for immigrants in the United States because of our xenophobia and our systematic racism, but being an immigrant doesn’t inherently mean you’re impoverished. I highly doubt her grandparents came to America third-class Titanic style wearing rags and covered in soot. Her grandparents would have left Italy in what, the late 60s? (Sofie made a video five years ago about her mom turning 50, so mom was born in 1968.)
