I never had heard of her until I listened to the Bad People podcast. I started following her on Insta then as a result, haven't checked in on her in months. Is she or he or whatever, still an awful human that never walks her large dog? Thinks being fat is a personality, and takes zero responsibility for anything? While living in filth?

I used to sometimes listen to MoHpod as I thought the concept was interesting, I also love her voice so I found it very relaxing, I am still a member of the MoH podcast fb page but don't really look anymore, what has she said to her fans?

I haven't been on Instagram the while week but has Sofie acknowledged the situation in Ukraine at all? All I've seen is her talking about her trip and trying to flog cheap tat through affiliate links. Given how vociferous she's been about politics in the past I'm really surprised she's not mentioned it.

It’s easy to do the healthy at any size mantra when you’re overweight and in your 20s or early 30s. You are young and can cope with it. But it really, really hits you when you hit your mid to late 30s. If you don’t look after yourself even in a basic way, you feel like shit. Sofie is coming up to that age where she will feel the affects of that diet and zero exercise so much more.

I am overweight and follow some Instagram influencers who are plus size and still manage to be active. You can definitely tell the difference between someone who is naturally bigger but eats well and looks after themselves and someone who is completely sedentary.

Yes, I think she does care for him but I’m not sure she understands the work and care needed for that breed, and maybe didn’t do her due diligence with the seller about his medical history etc.

I still don't really understand her vaccine post, surely if the only reason being fat is a risk factor is because of how staff treat you then we wouldn't see the stats we do, as fat people wouldn't be admitted to hospital in the first place?

yeah I agree, there is lots of evidence of women's pain not being taking seriously, I have never seen this about overwight/obese people

And it’s not even a question to send a message about it because I’d just be called a c*nt, told I have no nuance, get blocked, and then there would be about 10 stories with screen shots of my message talking about how people are so annoying...

Ah yes my friend said they did come across well on podcasts so I should listen to challenge my bias, although the Instagram stories are making it really hard to drag myself over there

Bad People which is back on BBC Sounds is good and Sofie comes across surprisingly nuanced. Made of Human was good although I question how much Sofie wants to get out of their bubble these days which makes it less interesting....I'd recommend the early episodes with Ben Bailey Smith, Charlotte Cooper and Richard Osman. Cooper is in particular critical of some of the shallower forms of fat activism which is interesting. I don't follow Sofie on insta, I think I won't start!

I have no idea what they're getting at here. I live in a part of the country where people with strong accents (usually associated with being working class) say things like 'can you help us with my shopping' obviously meaning 'can you help me with my shopping'. They don't mean that, do they?

Or do they mean when a couple may be breaking up or something and one partner says 'this will be better for us' but really they just mean 'me'.

Also why be so fucking hostile to someone who is just trying to help? Doctors are notoriously shit at diagnosing these health issues and someone saying 'buy the way, we share the same symptoms and I have X' is not trying to attack you.

But Sofie talks all the time about how insanely irregular her period is and never tries to get help for it, so her problem I guess.
