Find this so strange about them - as you say, a LOT of people have pretty intense traumas. A lot of people have CPTSD. It’s not an excuse the way they wield it, or something that makes you “stronger” or more “resilient” than others. Their therapists are just...not good and/or they aren’t doing the actual work.

I can’t believe they have two therapists....how do they afford that?

Also this is a class issue! An assault happened and he was not escorted out of the building and has had no repercussions except for people saying it was wrong, one rule for us and another for rich celebrities. Sofie tries to be an activist so I am shocked they've made it about race? Not commenting on an act of physical violence from a RICH CELEBRITY because of his skin colour just rubs me the wrong way.

Their Twitter is now private...i don't think it was before their idiotic tweet blew up.

I checked their twitter this morning and the tweet was definitely deleted, their twitter was also public. I've had a look at their mentions and it seems like people of reddit have taken to twitter to share their opinions about this, I imagine DMing Sofie too. Seems a bit frustrating too because some people have really good opinions on the tweet and are giving VERY good counterarguments to it, but people from reddit tend to just be commenting on their weight and gender.

Edit: Seems like their Instagram comments are now limited, unsure if this was the case before (I wouldn't be surprised).

Did it annoy anyone else their posting about that channel 4 weight loss show that is not about dieting? Maybe I am being petty but there is a way of losing weight without a diet, the whole point is that it is a lifestyle change, rather than a diet which is basically intended to be a (relatively) short change of eating habits to lose weight, which generallly don't work as then people just go back to their old eating habits and gane weight again, hence people always saying diets don't work. I don't care what Sofie (or anyone else for that matter) weighs but this annoyed me

I know what you mean. I still really like them on podcasts but I just don't think they're suited to social media (in any form!).

Ah yes my friend said they did come across well on podcasts so I should listen to challenge my bias, although the Instagram stories are making it really hard to drag myself over there

She will tell us that it is a selfless act of doing the best by him, actually it would be selfless to rehome him now, so he can be walked, socialised etc

agree, in her line of work getting a dog was just insane. A cat maybe, you can get people to go and visit/feed them... but a dog cannot be left alone even a day

Yeah we’re struggling for similar reasons, we’ve been spent over a year doing the house up and normal stuff arises off of the back of it, but what constitutes urgent? I’m having someone in to finish our bathroom as they can be in one room with the window open & it’s that project done (it also cost a fortune). We need 2/3 days of a handyman doing bits around the house, but that’s been parked as it’s “decor” like her painting. The rules are so loose I don’t blame her for it but I do think it’s dumb af.

Tbh I think landlords are scum so I’m not too upset for them that they’ll have to repaint before doing viewings cos such is life when you’re ruining the housing market but honestly would count what she’s done to those tiles as vandalism

The rules are so confusing now I agree, I have been following (intermittently) the COVID thread here and SO many people who weren't considered key workers before have now been told by bosses they are, the govt doesn;t seem to have given any real advice and IMO this is why cases are rising despite lockdown.
Yeah I don't really get the paint thing, if I was a landlord I'd rather have a tenant that looked after the flat enough to want to paint it, rather than breaking stuff etc. 100%agree about the tiles though ! Reading her post about it I wondered if her landlord ever follows her, I would be pretty annoyed

I know, Joback...and it's quite painful to watch. It seems to be a daily occurance at the moment. She needs some therapy to understand why she doesn't deal well with criticism. Though, having lived in Denmark for a few years, i'd take a stab at it being issues with her parents. No offence to any Dane's amongst us, you're all lovely once you thaw, but my god, they can be a very cold and unforgiving bunch. They're a tough nut to crack and that's me being polite about it! I hate landlords with a passion but I’m also aware she’s not just painting walls or drilling holes (which should be allowed!!) she’s racking up thousands in irreparable damage, if she does the kitchen it’ll easily be £10k+

Yup. Plus he's missing out on socialising with other dogs and being exposed to different people who all look and smell different. By keeping him at home because of his alleged anxiety, she is only making his anxiety worse.

Also, as others have pointed out on this thread, as far as aggression goes, sharpeis are unfortunately statistically not the most docile dogs and they are very strong and powerful dogs (hence NOT recommended for first time dog owners... Along with their many health issues).

yeah she really should have got an older dog that had been trained before by someone else imo

She owns her flat - right? She has a garden and despite her claiming it is a 'rough' area, it seems like a fairly central location of north london? (I'm not sure exactly where but it's just a hunch and I could be wrong - I'm sure there are people on here who know the area). In fairness the thank you is the first story before she goes into it.
She’s wild for the way she frames the original message … “because I am shouting to 113k people because ONE person got offended” and “do I like it when people ask for a show of gratitude after having volunteered their help? I don’t think so…”

“offended” seems like trying to make the original message seem sooo unreasonable, and as for saying not liking that people want a show of gratitude… well maybe that’s cause you feel guilty and self absorbed for not doing it without being asked, and rightfully so

I think we all feel the same really. Sofie’s videos are sort of inspirational for being so uninspiring, she makes eating crappy but expensive food look so unappealing cos she does it in a grubby flat in a grubby dressing gown whining about how lazy she feels!

God knows my eating patterns aren’t perfect, I stacked it on over Christmas and I can’t help but think there’s my own internalised fatphobia mixed in with my reactions to her day in the life videos, but honestly? there’s nothing like the depraved prospect of four choc mousses for breakfast and ordering a subway in for lunch to make me want to reach for fresh veg and go out in the fresh air

So true! when I used to do intermittent fasting, on fast days I would watch food challenge videos on youtube as it made the thought of eating anything make me feel sick after watching people downing boxes of doughnuts

It's rather annoying, as Sofie's tweet seems to have triggered such backlash from right-wing, fatphobic misogynists on Reddit and other forums.
