If you look into the great depression you will find the same people who created the crash got a whole lot richer and more powerful.Sorry I don't know if I'm just being thick. Can you explain what the elites/corporations stand to gain?

It’s a load if tit to be honest. Iv read many books about climate change and it’s very clear to me that it’s a left wing agenda to put more control on our lives. Anyone that wants to argue with me then try and read a book combating this ideology and then come back and let me know what you thinkIm not sure about the whole wild fire thing.
Someone said on the radio this morning that wild fires in Greece are not a new thing and not uncommon. Yet they are being reported as a symptom of climate change
I wonder if it's more selective reporting to create a false narrative about climate change acceleration.
Not sure in what world the industrial revolution was less than 50 years ago. Who wrote these books you've been reading? It’s a load if tit to be honest. There’s one for you to start on if you are actually interested which you probably aren’t. @prozacprincess mabye you should read it too, instead of giving the sick emoji to everyone try and educate yourself on a different opinion to what you believe in.Not sure in what world the industrial revolution was less than 50 years ago. I'll see if my library has it.There’s one for you to start on if you are actually interested which you probably aren’t. @prozacprincess mabye you should read it too, instead of giving the sick emoji to everyone try and educate yourself on a different opinion to what you believe in.
We don’t but we live in such self absorbed times that we would quite easily believe that we make such an impact, I was very uneducated on climate change for a long time and I decided to read books from both sides of the argument and honestly the books against climate change theories completely outweighed the ‘arguments for’ for me, it just makes more sense, especially when you look at it from a political point of view. Unfortunately we live amongst many arrogant people who will not hear a word you have to say so they will be the ones to blame when we have fuel consumption laws, meat consumption laws, travel allowance laws all in the name of climate change.@StrawberryCream
I've been saying the same thing for years, how can we have had that much of an impact that we've recked the planet in such a small space of time. I just can't get on board with climate change theories. I feel like it's more likely natural shift in weather, all made up, or weathe control technology.
Just in case you dont know - "Industrial society and its future" is the manifesto of the Unabomber. Feel that is a detail worth knowing before reading.I'll see if my library has it.
Incidentally, I attended a conference on climate change a couple of months ago (online). One of the climate change deniers giving a talk said that the climate models don't work because they don't fit the data for average temperatures in the last few decades, so how can we use them to predict future temperatures? It turned out that he was using a global model but average temperatures from just Europe![]()
Can I ask the context of this what was this conference for, by any chance was it university? It’s very well known that universities push the pro climate change agenda and will not teach anything that opposes thisI'll see if my library has it.

I agree, it's a very vain way of looking at things. And you are probably for vaccine passports and showing identification upon entry of places, which would make you a fascist. So go offJust in case you dont know - "Industrial society and its future" is the manifesto of the Unabomber. Feel that is a detail worth knowing before reading.
It was hosted by the Geological Society of London. It was free and anyone could attend. There were a number of climate skeptics presenting and engaging with the discussion. Can I ask the context of this what was this conference for, by any chance was it university? It’s very well known that universities push the pro climate change agenda and will not teach anything that opposes this
Thank you.Just in case you dont know - "Industrial society and its future" is the manifesto of the Unabomber. Feel that is a detail worth knowing before reading.
A lot of assumptions made here. And you are probably for vaccine passports and showing identification upon entry of places, which would make you a fascist. So go off
My turn to make some assumptions: by reading this thread and others it seems the majority of people on this site live in developed Western nations. We will not be the ones impacted the most. Most likely we will still be around in 10 years time and be able to confirm that we haven't died because of climate change. The people who will suffer the most have played next to no part in this.If you are in total believe that climate change is ‘killing us’ places please come back in 10 years and tell us how we are burnt to deaththis is the biggest conspiracy theory going and you are all being played, come back and let me know how that feels
No one is going to suffer. Please stop living in fear from what elite corporations and governments tell you. You are playing into their hands. My turn to make some assumptions: by reading this thread and others it seems the majority of people on this site live in developed Western nations. They aren't the people telling me this. My colleagues are.No one is going to suffer. Please stop living in fear from what elite corporations and governments tell you.
Challenge your colleagues on their opinions. Don’t take their word. They aren't the people telling me this. My colleagues are.
