Your oven is lovely and clean though.
Best thing we ever did was get an oven with a pyolitic cleaning setting - take the racks and bars out, put it on the cleaning cycle and an hour and a half later all the stuff stuck to the insides is reduced to a pile of grey ash you can just wipe out.
I can't run the cleaning cycle at the same time as the dishwasher though, or the whole house trips out thanks to the aged wiring!

I would recommend the Lakeland oven cleaner, not cheap, but a little goes a very long way, don’t need to heat the oven, no nasty aerosol fumes.

Another shout out for this stuff - it works miracles. Brings glass up brilliantly and it rescued the inside of our old Neff oven which we'd bought 2nd hand off e-bay. Looked like new within a few hours.

The Lakeland stuff is really easy, just wipe on and wet cloth/sponge off. Does the shelf things as well
This morning I was inspired to put my oven shelves in a massive plastic container full of Surf and hot water. I’m afraid to say it doesn’t work very well on filthy, caked-on, black grease. The edges were gleaming though! @MancBee’s oven speaks for itself but he would NEVER allow it to get as nasty as mine. I thought I’d warn the more disgusting among us….
I just want the inside of the door glass to be clean.

apparently you can also get people in to just clean your oven
tbh, i wish there was some kind of washing machine setting that would just automatically clean it
you'd have thought id learned from that time the oily trays i kept in the bottom of the oven in my old flat caught fire
why yes, i did panic and throw water on it
i don't know how im still alive sometimes
eta. obv don't do that if you have an oven fire. turn the power off and keep the door closed. remember your fire triangle lads!

I still call it this! I just can’t drop the plastics bit, it is too ingrained in my brain.
