Spaghetti hoops in a tankard 🤣 think I've seen it all now!
yeah I get that, I think for me it's the idea that breakfast has to be a treat somehow. I mean, have treats within your calories, but at breakfast? If I had massive chocolatey breakfasts I know I'd be on a slippery slope to binging chocolate all day.

It's also partly due to the fact that their "tsp" is usually about half a jar of Nutella 🤣
Everyone is different. I guess part of learning to have a healthy relationship with food is being able to have a little bit of what you fancy without going in to a full on binge. I don't like the demonising of a 100 calorie piece of chocolate on sw when you can eat a 600 calorie meal "syn free"😩 Then these poor people think the one piece of chocolate will suddenly make them pile on the pounds!

Yeah, their tsp measurements are pretty bad! They don't realise it's a measuring tsp and not a massive heaped teaspoon from your kitchen drawer🤣 I've noticed sneaky posters saying how many syns it is minus a few of the toppings. Again, trying to create the illusion you can eat whatever you want and lose weight.

I went from a size 18 to a 10 on slimming world about 6 years ago, I love it helped me cook fresh meals but I gained weight and back upto a 14 as I’d go over my “syns” and write the whole day off and binge...where as if I was watching my calories I’d probs not be over for the day but because I was over 15 syns id sabotage the whole day 🙄 messed with my mind set completely.
Mirrors my experience exactly.

I started SW a few years back and lost a total of 7 stone. I was doing well, became complacent, started watching the IG pages, following receipts and put on 2st. Ive gone back to following the plan in my books and lost it again.

This nutter is having a proper shouting/crying breakdown that somebody has reported one of her photos. Completely unhinged.

I've been advised to cut out dairy to see if I a have an allergy to it so I'm starting this week, omg severe lack of Healthy A choices 🙈 I can only find one plant based cheddar option which only appears to be available online or in Holland & Barrett, other than that it's plant based milk and the serving sizes are huge, like 400ml. That's a lot of milk 😂 tbh I'm not a massive fan of vegan cheese, I might go off piste and just cut back to one HexA a day and two Bs on an SP day, as that's how it was when I first joined and I was successful. You would think with the rising popularity of veganism SW would have made more room for people who don't have dairy. I can see there are a few lactose free HexAs but I've been advised to not have any actual dairy products while I'm doing this. Any vegan SWers on here?!

Oh god I remember when SW Instagram was at its peak, ASA wasn’t so hot then so they were all pushing their spice codes and wanging on about crucial sauce, a certain chocolate brand 🙄 and water bottles.

some were rather preachy, piled it all on and then disappeared.

Oh and who could forget taste the rainbow JSG

i know a lot of people hate SW now but it worked for me, had a little to lose in 2016, kept it off and would never take a hard boiled egg to a hen night 😂
Some people really suffered with mental illness following SW, that’s why they disappeared, I know one of these accounts personally and it took her a long time to overcome what SW did to her mentally. Yes she put weight back on, we all do once you get out of that cult, its important to remove yourself from it to look after your mental health. God even if she maintained weight she would walk out of group in floods of tears it affected her so badly, she really opened my eyes and wouldn’t touch that diet plan, sorry, way of life, with a barge pole X

I dont drink cows milk, the oat milk I use is 38 calories per 100ml. Semi skimmed is 50 cals per 100ml. Its absolutely lovely too. Its Minor Figures Semi. Morrisons and Ocado sell it I think :) it doesnt have as much protein or calcium as cows milk though. I dont do SW but for actual weight loss I dont think it matters if you get something similar calorie wise to the milk you usually use.

Re vegan cheese its an accustomed taste imo. Youd need to stop the cheese for a while and then eat the vegan one to find the taste palatable. Just in my experience. Violife, and Tesco/Asda own brand arent bad. For a cheesy taste nutritional yeast is a great thing! Im not vegan and my body seems ok with cheese but not milk, go figure.

Thanks for your reply, I am going to go shopping later, I’ll look out for the milk in Morrisons, I did find they had the best non dairy selection when I tried being vegan, I did about 6 months but ended up going back to being veggie/pescatarian. Haven't had any fish of late again though after watching Seaspiracy on Netflix!

I've had a sore throat and felt generally congested with a constant headache since before Christmas, started back on SW in November, IBS flare ups have been more frequent too, and thinking about it my dairy consumption has ramped up by a lot, not just the healthy extras but I find myself eating a lot of yoghurt, cottage cheese etc. Would make sense if my body could cope before with the dairy I was having just in tea/coffee and not having cheese every day and now it's like woah please stop 😂
