Yes! Completely relate! I think it's why I lose easier on sw, because I'm actually healthier on it
The only time I lost a significant amount of weight was with SW but I’m back where I started and I feel ashamed of myself. I thought I was an expert as food optimising and I simply just let myself slip into the old habits over time and the gains began to build.
I feel like I am too busy to calorie count properly and I know SW (the right way) in my head yet parting with money doesn’t appeal especially if I did it with my partner as that would be more than £500 per year just for the weekly fee.
I have used the Nutracheck app and it worked great except the time to input ingredients. It was demotivating.

I feel your pain! Maybe if you wanted to both do SW if you think that's the best thing for you, one of you could join online then you would have access to the app for both of you? My partner and I went on a weight loss mission during the lockdown last year and he drove me insane as he wasn't sticking to any kind of diet except for the SW meals I was making, just cut out alcohol, chocolate and crisps etc but was still mainlining a packet of crumpets every day as snacks and he lost loads more than me being strict on SW and plenty of exercise, I wanted to kill him 😂

@princesspoppy96 If you know SW off the top of your head can’t you just follow it yourself at home and weigh yourself weekly?

I’m in SW at present for the first time. I’m about 7 weeks in now and feel like I’m starting to get to grip with it. I plan on carrying on until I’m in the flow then weighing myself at the gym for £1 instead of £6… I think once you know it you know it. I’m paying to learn the concept. I think I have a few more weeks left there then I’ll be doing it alone.

(I’m not fully following SW btw I’m calorie counting too)

Yes thank you I feel I could follow at home but I definitely need to find some real help with my relationship with food, food addiction and general binge/emotional reliance of food. That has ruined me in recent years and I cannot let it happen again. I may speak to someone about it.

there is an option on nutracheck to create a “meal” .. I tend to have the same salad so create a meal for that then I only have to do each individual item once.. I also create a meal for any dinners I make when I have time.. and then if I’m cooking it in a rush I just add the meal as it is … if I have time and I am being super good then I will Edit the meal to all the new weights.
The way I see it, rough tracking is better than no tracking!x

No one got overweight by eating too much cucumber. Every coach I’ve ever had has told me not to track green veg as long as I keep it consistent

I'm another that has never bothered to count veg or salad! There's something like 40 calories in a whole cucumber. Just don't see much point 😂

Did anyone use the app Slimit? It was free and so easy to tailor it to track slimming world from home, but I can’t see it is around anymore!

And once you get the hang of things it gets easier, to be honest I am beginning to enjoy it. Especially seeing my 5 a day tracker getting full, my protein, carbs, large etc I quite like the fact I am getting to know my body through what I ear and how important it is etc

Logging literally takes very few minutes.

My salad portion is roughly 46cals always so I just use the multi add icon on Nutracheck and just log them.

After the food bank scandal in my local slimming world, all the morning group members have left. I am not sure about the other groups but it’s a big step for us after being ripped off of our meal deposits.

We now have a community slimming programme, we have the scales. One of the members, her son is a personal trainer, we are going to do a weigh in, a little bit of exercise, meal prep and calorie discussion and we’re paying £3 to cover costs and the hire of the community hall.

The head of the community centre is in the process of not welcoming slimming world back and giving us the slot in place of Slimming world in return. We were a group of 12 in slimming world, we now have 18 joining us in the Community Slimming Group.

Everyone we have spoke to are really annoyed with slimming world and the truth about the food bank donations were hidden from the other groups.

It feels like a very small victory and I have far too much time on my hands post retirement.

Very nice things to say. Thank you, we thought doing some light exercises and even something called Zumba the other ladies wanted is a good way to start a session, then we discuss food and share ideas. We thought it’s better than just spending over an hour simply talking about food. For such a small group, we had very little to talk about during the slimming world group.

It is thanks to here that we got the idea to break away.

What have I missed? Food bank scandal?
We were donating food for the local food bank, we knew the donations were going directly to one of the social teams daughters, the other groups didn’t realise this.
