Not gonna lie I feel like tit, I’m going on holiday next week so I will feel even more tit when I get back from that. SW has been entering my mind AGAIN because I’m thinking ‘it will hold me accountable’ etc, but I’m just like nooooo don’t do it 🙈 haven’t got my text yet or card in the post but sure they will arrive!
Yeah, I’ll hold my hands up too! I hate so much about it, I hate the way people get when they’re on it, and I’m in a better place with regards to my relationship with food, for not following SW or any other diet.
But I still keep toying with the idea of rejoining to “properly get the weight off” 🙀

I know the feeling. I gained back the weight I lost and cannot find my way out of that darkness but I am certainly more aware of the negative impact of SW and whilst I need accountability I don’t think I could ever return to a group and part with money. I know my relationship with food is still a disaster so I’m going down the surgery route to find a permanent solution but it scares the tit out of me.

Same, I hate staying to group as they're all just there for the social aspect and some of the stuff they eat I think would contravene the Human Rights Act if it was served in a prison. But I love routine and structure which I feel like you get with SW, ngl I like the shiny certificates too 😂 it's honestly such a headfuck that you feel almost like in a religion when you're doing it!

I'm heavier now than the first time I joined!! God knows how much I've spent on it over the years. Just need to get some willpower back and do my own thing from home, not go back through the revolving door of SW.

No dont do it x calorie counting all the way
Ex consultant and would never go back
But I know what you mean about them getting you when you feel weak
If I had not been evicted from the fb group I’d post some pics, used to think it was posts popping up from Rate My Plate 😂

Evicted after 3 weeks of no attending group to make you feel like your missing out so you get fomo and rejoin lol

I’ve decided to leave the slimming clubs, weigh in at home and transfer £5 to a savings account. Have a mate that’s going to keep me accountable for weigh ins.

That is a great idea and right now with all the cost of living impact I’d rather not be giving SW my money.

Infact I am planning on getting my money back from them.
I am determined to lose weight by myself. Once I am near my target weight I will rejoin (Obviously won't follow that cultish plan. I will stuck to my good Old CC) reach target and weigh every single week for as long as I possibly can.

They cannot rip me off my relationship with food and my money as well. Nope

This is what I was thinking; £24 a month I could buy a new recipe book, a gadget for the kitchen, a beauty treatment to make me feel good etc. I have scales at home and it’s expensive anyway to mention the fuel to get there etc.

Add the hi fi bar temptation, the subtle magazine advertising, the raffle money, and the after club shopping for quark etc.

It is not until you start summing all this up that you realise how SW are ripping people off.
It costs me roughly £35 per month.
That is someone's weekly foodshop.

Like @hereforalaugh38 said, Nutracheck is Gold. For £25/year it has so much features.

Very true! I’m a sucker for the Hifis, books etc. If I do a bare bones weekly shop for me and my partner with no booze or big treats it comes to about £40!

I used to blow so much money on the latest HexA, HexB etc, or the latest thing to save syns like Xantham gum a La Pinch of Nom to save syns on a tbsp of cornflour, sorry but no one got large by adding a tbsp of cornflour to a recipe for four 🤣🤣

I must be the only one who can’t get on with the Nutracheck app 😞
It’s a brilliant set up and easy to navigate, but I just loathe counting every calorie and logging everything I eat!
I do like the way that it offsets your exercise against your intake though.

I'm same as that, I have had success using MFP in the past but I hate counting the calories in absolutely everything like salad etc. I do realise everything has calories, but it becomes obsessive when you're having to weigh cucumber and celery etc which have hardly any. I find I get quite obsessed with it and just end up eating a lot of convenience food to make it easier and that I know exactly how many cals are in it, it is virtually impossible to accurately measure out for example, a bolognese into 4 exact portions unless you are weighing it into 4 portions as you're serving it from the pot which I just cba doing! It is one of the reasons why I do like parts of the SW plan.

I have three ex consultants and two have been ‘reaching out’ to see how I am which means they are losing members and getting people into that post Summer pre Christmas mind duck!! The other consultant quit SW.
It’s bank holiday - they do their promotions and leaflet drops around the bank holidays (I went to a consultants event once)

A lot of bigger accounts that stepped away from SW I see are going back. To be honest if you follow the plan properly (1/3rd speed replaces food on a plate not a side plate of it, don’t tweak/ eat stupid sweetener cakes) it can work. But and this is a big but …… you need to be calorie aware and if you have been calorie counting you will automatically be x

I use Gousto which does make it slightly easier, they have all the meals stored in their database so you just search for the meal and enter that way

To be honest I don’t log vegetables either, As long as it’s not an excessive portion don’t see the point!

Yes! Completely relate! I think it's why I lose easier on sw, because I'm actually healthier on it
