Has that Slim with Keeks had WLS? She posted she lost 14lbs in one week the other day?! Now she's posted she's lost another 3.5lbs this week?? She's not even that big, she's like 16 stone and 5'10 😳 that's a gigantic deficit to be in to keep losing that amount? Does anyone know anything about her?

I do think with SW it all depends on your consultant. Mine is fab - she encourages exercise and is really sensible about what can make you gain or stay the same and doesn’t encourage some of the crazy swaps you see.

It makes me sad that there are some bad consultants out there as I do think SW works (obviously not for everyone) and it seems some are letting the rest down. Agree though that SW do give way too much airtime to some of these influencers who don’t follow it properly and either binge or restrict too much which mess with their results.

Th consultant at our group in my opinion was trying to put my son off exercise, saying that the best way to lose weight is achieved through the slimming world plan alone.
So bad!!! Exercise should be encouraged!! And not just for loosing weight, there’s so many benefits like for your mental health, for socialising etc. Defo shouldn’t be telling you to reduce the amount of exercise your doing or even put you off it completely!

I also hate that they call it body magic 🙈

Mentioned this on the last slimming world thread slimming.Chris is still using his re used photos this time promoting a different seasoning first post spice n tice the others jd seasonings but same pictures 🥴 surely false advertising??
I got ~~~ influenced ~~~ to buy some JD Seasonings as SO many SW instagrams love them.. they were horrid. I much prefer my aldi own seasonings where you get ALOT more for your money.

Even though I follow it, I don't agree with some of the buzz words and cult like feel to the plan

My old leader used to have packed out crowds at her meetings and she'd say "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!" My jaw hit the floor.

My consultant had to open another session as the mornings were taking so long to get everyone weighed. But only about 10 people stayed for group?

Surely she must see that they literally are weighing as its a convenient time and not because shes a good consultant.

I text her saying I'm probably going to have holiday from group for next three weeks as I'm struggling and she just put a heart back 🤣 she's already got my money cause I'm on a countdown so why be nice to me hey 🙄

In fairness, all the spice merchants are exactly the bleeping same, so I probably wouldn’t be bothered taking new photos either. :ROFLMAO:

I'd say complain to head office, but we all know they couldn't care less..If it was me I would ask to transfer your countdown to another consultant and tell her to shove her large fighters up her a if she can't be bothered

This might sound rude, but what exactly are you expecting her to do?

You’re struggling, but instead of asking for help in group, you’re just not going to go? If you don’t go, it’s 100% on you, not on them. You pay them £6 a week at most, what level of personalised service are you expecting for £6?

If I was a consultant, I’d send a text saying you’re disappointed to hear that you’re looking to stay away, but holidays have to be booked when taking out a countdown for a reason. You’re committing to attend group, and if you can’t attend that one, you’re expected to attend another one that week. And a link to help you find another one. You can always choose to transfer to a different group/consultant that might be more to your liking, or switch to online.

That’s probably why I’m not a consultant though.

For £6 a week you can send more than a bleeping heart.

There is a whole Facebook group and she manages to reply more than a heart on there? In reply to people that send the same things I sent in a private text. She's also text me 'motivating' paragraphs when I first joined and when I've had a gain at rhe scales. (Also I was struggling as my baby was ill so I was more ~committed~ to them rather than my SW group)

My point was about her not having many people staying in group and maybe it's because she's not a very good consultant?

Glad you're not a consultant 🙂

In the Facebook group, a reply can help others as well as the person asking. Post up in there if you’re struggling outside of the group you’re not bothering to attend.

My experience of consultants is very 50/50.

End of the day if you are paying someone, if you text to say youre not feeling up to it, its their job to ask why/is there anything they can do if its food related etc.

Ive had a consultant text me repeatedly when something tragic happened to my family and I text her to say I wouldnt make group that week to strongly 'advise' I attend another of her groups. All she cared about was bums on seats/through the scales.

She kept texting and texting over a period of time of less than a week, never to ask if I was ok just to request I attend another of her classes. When I mentioned the thing happening again she couldnt even remember who I was.

Also I had a countdown at that point so she had my money. I eventually had to block her.

However Ive also had an amazing consultant who was kind, understanding and supportive. Would text back genuine messages if you text them anything and seemed to actually care about you and your whole well being not just lbs lost.

So there are definitely people out there doing the job that shouldnt be but also really good ones.

Id see about swapping classes.

If you’ve an issue, it’s up to the member to raise it, not cry off for a month and blame the consultant for them not turning up.

The first week you join, you’ll have sat through a group and can see what the consultant is like and can decide there and then if they’re someone you like. I’ve done that and paid for the week, and moved elsewhere asking for my details to move with me. If you don’t like them or think they’re not very good, why sign up for a countdown? You don’t even have to commit to joining, so don’t even have to pay for week one if you decide it’s not for you.

I’ve been a member for years of various groups with a dozen consultants including being friends with a couple of them and I’ve had about 10 texts in all that time, usually about time changes due to holidays. And an occasional well done for achieving a milestone. The group and closed Facebook page is where you get additional support, as well as the website. I wouldn’t dream of texting my consultant directly if I’m struggling unless it was to ask them to raise something in group.

Anyway, let’s go back to criticising the celebrity circus around high profile accounts. I can’t imagine us all ever agreeing what we want from a consultant.
