The boots own brand vit c sheet masks from this range are brill! I love them. Must pick up the sleep mask 🥰

I had these across my jawline for months after taking progesterone. I was given Dalacin liquid, but they don’t do it anymore. It’s now a gel, not as good but still works. These types of spots should never be picked as they leave really deep pot marks. They do go eventually, but bloody annoying.
Yes that’s exactly where they always are. Thank you all, I’m going to give the recommendations a try.

The other thing to do if they get really itchy is put some witch hazel on them or ice. The itching is the worse and makes it so hard not to pick at them. Hormones 😩

I also have large pores and have tried lots of products to disguise them.
I joined beauty pie and have been using their micro peeling drops and retinol serum and moisturiser. My pores have halved in size in around 4 months. When I wear makeup you can’t see them anymore.
Hi, sorry realise this post is from ages ago - just found this thread and slowly working through!

Another pore sufferer here - how do you use the micro peeling drops from Beauty Pie? I have skin on the sensitive side but while cheeks are a bit dry get an oil slick on my t-zone and pores that I’m conscious of. Am a Beauty Pie member and have seen these but unsure how to use. I’ve used their glycolic pads but been left a bit ‘meh’ by them

I had used the retinol range in the past but stopped when I was pregnant/then breastfeeding but was thinking of reintroducing this into my routine soon.

I’m a bit stop/start with using acids - never know if they’re a daily thing or a once a week thing or a ‘depends on you/your skin’ for frequency? I’ve used the Dr Dennis Gross Daily Peel - using a trial size of the Ultra Gentle then worked onto the Universal ones. They worked really well but obviously come with a price tag. Has anyone had success with an alternative to these? I wasn’t using them daily, just 2-3 times a week.

Dots for Spots have been helpful to me when I have one of those deep under the skin spots. It either helps draw it up and out (sorry, yuck!) or just helps it go away. Felt one the other day, popped a dot on and the next day it had reduced in size and no longer bothered me and then it just went away of its own accord after that.

The best thing about mask wearing was one recent time I had a horrendously bad spot I was able to put a dot on during the day and nobody noticed!

They are sooo expensive! I couldn’t justify daily use!

Have a look at cosrx bha liquid and glossier aha/bha/pha solution.

Cosrx bha is quite strong so I only use 2/3 times a week but I’m oily and not dry or sensitive so you may want to use once a week to start.

Glossier I use twice a day but would probably limit to every other day to start to build up tolerance.

My skin is really bad atm. It’s dry with redness around the cheeks and a bad rosecea breakout with spits. My chin is also spotty. No matter what I try it’s not helping

Wonder If anyone can give me some product tips please?
I'm mid thirties, always looked after my skin, moisturised from 18yrs old but my skin has never returned the favour, sadly 😥
I'm now at a stage were I don't know what to do next?
I've ways suffered with milia under my eyes and Down my cheeks, they've definitely got a bit better the older I've got but make up still looks horrendous over them, basically I've got congested skin and I can't seem to sort this.
I'm also at a loss with products, I feel like I've tried them all?! I always seem to have a layer of grease on my face but I also suffer with dry skin 🤪🤪🤪 I'm just beginning to get fine lines too. I know its a lot but can anyone recommend anything please?

No magic cure. But WATER, WATER, WATER, Cut out greasy, sugary, processed foods, take vitamin C & Zinc. See if your skin gets breakouts or dry a couple of days afrer drinking milk/eating dairy.

Find a good skincare that suits you.
Cleanse, tone & moisterise
And find good suncream to suit your skin

Find out your skin type, combo, oily, normal etc and find which products work best.

Also no matter how much you try, you cant make pores smaller.
Acne scarring is near impossible to get rid of but lazer treatment helps

If you have serious issues with skin, go to a doctor to check illness like thyroid or pcos, dairy intolerance and visit a skin specialist for treatments

@bubble_T As well as all @liliUk 's excellent advice, you might want to look in to a company like Dermatica or Skin and Me (there are normally codes floating around onlinefor discounts). They do prescription skin treatments, and I have heard good things from otther tattlers!

i would definitely recommend using products that have salicylic acid (cerave do a great gentle face wash), great for congestion and exfoliating. Hyaluronic acid is also great for dry/dehydrated skin.

obviously not a skin guru but if you feel you have greasy face, i would think you’re more dehydrated than dry, so lots of water will help that.

I've got problems with my lungs so can't have something with strong smells. I'm also Autistic and find a lot of creams (and other skin products ) to feel "heavy"

1) face wash recommendations please? I just need something that won't dry my skin out and will do something about my spots, please. I've tried clean and clear but I find it has a strong smell.

2) hand cream recommendations please? Like many people, I've found that the constant hand washing dries my skin out. I did buy some Nivea hand cream, but it felt greasy and the smell was a bit strong.

Thank you

I use this Clinique face wash, not too cheap but lasts ages, and has very little scent

Also, we’ve been using dettol with e45 hand soap, which has really helped to stop our hands drying out

Edit: just used it and the face wash is 100% fragrance free.

Cetaphil range is good. They do face washes and moisturisers etc. I’ve got one of their face washes and it’s fragrance free and really nice. Simple is a nice brand too.

I’ve used O’keeffes hand cream before and it’s good.
