The shitty bum posts seem to be everywhere. I made the mistake of reading one, so now I get email digests linked to more.

Good god, I didn’t realise it was so prevalent. What is this world we are living in

I think I read (admittedly on Reddit), that there is some weird alpha male trend thing with men now deliberately not wiping after having a and it gave me another reason to love my internal single status

I mean it’s probably BS but here you go anyway.

“Aitah if I divorce my husband for not wiping his butt?”

Yep this is pretty much the title. My husband recently started saying that he is not going to wipe his butt anymore after using the restroom. He got into his head that alpha males do not wipe therefore he no longer is doing it. He has been ( for the past two days) been walking around everywhere we going telling guys “Alphas don’t wipe”. He is very serious about not wiping and he is not listening to reasoning, I don’t know what to do and I fear that this might be the start of the end of our marriage. How do I convince him to wipe!

i enjoy that she says she “fears it MIGHT be the start of the end of our marriage” when i personally would have divorced him the minute he said the word “alpha”

I cannot believe we went from shaming people for not washing their legs and feet in the shower to men boldly claiming that wiping is for pussies. I despair.

When I heard about the England footballer who got a yellow card and broke his wrist despite not playing a minute during the last match, my first thought was ‘his poor wife’, no doubt having to put up with his huge moods and anger over the coming months. I’m so glad to live in a peaceful home.

The player in question, Jordan Henderson, is most famous for seemingly supporting the LGBT community then taking money to go and play in Saudi Arabia, which was obviously criticised as hypocritical.

The World Cup in general makes me glad that I'm single. I know that there are plenty of women who are really into football, but I don't hear about women getting aggressive or sulking because of a football result.

Or going home drunk and beating the shit out of their husband because their team lost.

I was really referring to men that can’t cope with set backs or disappointments, which is many in my experience and use their wife or girlfriend as a therapist- or worse.

I like the World Cup - and happy that I can dip in and out of it now as I choose, without my household having to revolve around the games and the dreaded mood changes and tension. I’ll never stop being grateful for my peace.

I bet she's crushed she missed out on absolute dreamboats like red-faced pissed shouty man. Frankly if it's a choice between virginity and knowing AB in the carnal sense, pass me the wimple...

it makes me so angry.

someone in work, on learning that she’d died, said “she was a virgin her whole life!” as though this was the only detail worth remembering about her.

Goes to show, regardless of how much you pander to conservative agenda, you will never be a part of the boys club. You cannot earn respect from men who don't respect you as a human, nevermind as a woman.

I'm sorry to say I'm no longer single by choice. Not that I'm in a relationship - it's just no longer by choice!! Not sure what changed, maybe I'll come crawling back after a bit of dating, but I suddenly woke up one day and realised I want a partner. I want the physical intimacy, and I'm absolutely not someone who can do that without also having an emotional connection.

Anyway, I know it's very much frowned upon to announce your departure from a thread, but thanks singletons for the chats Maybe speak soon lol!
