Omg no! They look really nice, would you recommend? I had a stash of the nyx ones to use (the hoarding shame!)
---

The nyx is the fat lip oil, they do a range of colours - I think the light blush pink one I had is called newsfeed. Really ‘my lips but better.’
I've not tried the ELF ones yet, waiting to finish my naff Aldi lip oil before I purchase another one. Really want to try the NYX ones too 😬

Maybe I’m really far behind, but why are people removing their cuticles? 🤣😭 what does it do? Should I be doing it too?!

Sorry for double posting, emptied Makeup Revolution Hyaluronic serum unexpectedly today. I’ve got another bottle of this, bought three when it was on offer for 5€ each on Amazon. It’s okay, but I don’t think I’ll repurchase when the last one is empty.

Love watching people go through their empties online so this thread has not disappointed - thank you!

Here are my empties from January:

Hair:
  • Aldi Living Proof dry shampoo dupe. Never used the Living proof one but this one was fine.
  • L’Oréal HA shampoo - I like this but haven’t replaced as I had another shampoo to use from my stash.
  • Pantene keretin hair mask - my hair liked this. Replaced with a different one from my stash.

Skincare:
  • Body shop camomile cleanser - does what it says on the tin and my skin likes it. Replaced with a Heimish balm cleanser.
  • Garnier invisible serum spf50 - my skin loves this so have replaced like for like.
  • Beauty Pie Happy Face moisturiser - not very exciting but my skin really likes it. Will rebuy but currently using up a different day moisturiser from my stash.
  • Beauty Pie Jeju moisturiser - my skin really liked this. Used both AM and PM. Might be a bit heavy summertime to use as daytime moisturiser. Would buy again but replacing it with Illycoon ceramide cream.
  • Boots Ingredients HA Sleep Mask - like Grizzly I remember someone on a thread recommending it. Loved this and will replace when I next go to Boots.

Make up:
  • Nyx - Thick it, Stick it eyebrow gel. Love this so replaced it with the same.
  • Beauty Pie Brownie Mascara - really like this but keep being fickle and trying other things thinking I’ll find my holy grail. My only annoyance with this mascara is that I feel it has to be broken in. Not sure that makes sense to anyone other than me.
  • Maybelline - Sensational Sky High primer - ok. Looking for a new eyelash primer.
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational - didn’t get the hype but needed a waterproof mascara. Did what I needed it to do but won’t re-buy.
  • Have a Max Factor false lash effect mascara to use from my stash but little miss fickle is still window shopping other mascaras lol.
Does the Jeju moisturiser have a strong scent ? What Is the texture like ?

I’ve been toying with the idea of trying it for a while but I’m so fussy with scents and texture. My favourite was the QI but I’ve used up all my stash and it is no more 🥺

I recommend CeraVe hydrating cleanser to anyone who listens, that stuff is amazing. It's creamy, if you like bubbly foam-type cleansers, this might not be for you. I've somewhat oily skin and prone to break-outs. It says on the bottle that it is for drier skin, but I've found this works much better for me than anything meant for my skin type and seems to help with breakouts as well.
It doesn't get rid of mascara for me, which I don't wear often so it's not a big concern and you wrote you like micellar water - I bet that plus the cleanser would do the job just fine.
The bottle is huge - really good value but they also sell a small test bottle which might be better for testing if you like it.

Thanks so much, I thought the bottle looked familiar, just checked and I've already got one in the cupboard FFS! So I will be using that and seeing how I get on, thanks x

Olay vitamin C and AHA resurfacing peel kit.
Incredible stuff. Already have a repurchase is as discontinued so only use it on special occasions. Can’t understand why it’s no longer available, perhaps too strong if people were using it frequently :(

Also a boots fake tan mousse that’s discontinued too. Replaced with an Aldi emergency purchase version that actually gave a lovely, even, lasting colour.
That is so disappointing!!

I uses L’Oréal rapid reviver dream lengths conditioner in a tube as my daily conditioner and it keeps mine in check. Can’t touch other L’Oréal hair but this stuff is magic, better than masks I’ve used. I also like Revlon Uniq1 10/1 spray. After a bleach job left my hair damaged and sticky feeling the spray saved me from ripping at it when wet. Palmers coconut one is a cheaper alternative but for a few £ the Revlon is superior and smells professional rather than sweet.
Amazing, thank you! I'll look the Revlon one up.

Oh my gosh. I too am addicted to lip balm! I feel anxious when I can't find mine, have to have one near me all the time and reapply whenever I feel stressed or right before a work meeting or something! The thought of going cold turkey makes me feel 😭🤮. You are very brave!
You can do this! I’m here for you x

I like skin food for a handcream but I couldn't use it on my face because its too thick for me. I prefer a lighter gel cream for my face

I've used it for about a week now, my previous serum was always by Inkey List. Admittedly can't say that the G&G one is "richer" or more moisturizing than the Inkey List one, but I also don't have their Light serum for comparison. It's not bad in any way though! I might go back to Inkey List as that one is often a bit cheaper and I like the litter bottles better, but that is really the only thing I can say about it. Very solid HA serum, not leaving any tackiness behind, no scent either.
I like it better than the HA serum by The Ordinary, but I haven't used that in several years and they might have changed the formula since then. I hated that one and it gave my blackheads.

Finished another bar of Dove Cream Beauty Bar today, they're my holy grail for showering with.
Thank you for coming back with a review, I think I will try the rich version once I've finished the light one up!

My cuticles are pretty dry and flakey (maybe cos I’m middle aged, I’m not sure), so I like to scrape some of it off/push them back, to give myself a much better, cleaner finish for my DIY gel manicures.

Your choice to do it or not but not everyone needs it.

Nyx micro brow pencil. Found it at the back of my drawer so I’ve used it up but I won’t repurchase as I tint my brows now.
L’Oréal infallible eyeliner in brown. Don’t think I’ve ever used an eyeliner up 👀 got an essence one to use now.
Do you tint them yourself? If so what do you use? The beauticians don’t last for me

This reminds me I decluttered the contents of a small tester vial of Elemis oil that had gone rancid. The point is though, I thought I’d keep the little tube for travel, a small amount of highlighter or liquid contour, it’s probably 2.5ml and I only use a dab.
Tell me if that’s a good idea or just hoarding behaviour?
I'd keep it if you are traveling regularly. I've done the same with a few of the The Inkey List serum bottles, they are really practical to refull with shampoo or cleanser.
____

My February empties - very slow month

  • Geek and gorgeous Jelly Joker 50 ml,travel size: lovely cleanser, especially for double-cleansing. I’ve had multiple of this and already a backup.
  • Garnier Whole Blends Oat Shampoo 250 ml refill pouch: as usual - this is my default shampoo.
  • Geek and Gorgeous A-game Retinal 20: Strongest of their retinals, it was good but I’ve now a The Ordinary retinal lined up to compare them. I'm surprised though how long it took me to empty this 30ml bottle, I opened it on October 22nd (I wrote it on the bottle as I wanted to see how long it lasts me). This is a rather strong retinol and I used it almost every day and it still took a solid four months to use up. It says it expires 6 months after opening and there are some claims that retinal is unstable. Not every skin can take a strongish retinoid daily. The Ordinary's bottle is 15ml, which seems a little bit more practical, but per ml it's quite pricey in comparison. I'll see how I like it.
  • Beauty of Joseon 1ml Dynasty Creme sample sachet: lovely stuff, i might consider getting the full size

New in:
  • Pomelo molecular repair conditioner
  • Mixa panthenol repair cream

Just 2 empties for me.

Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin Foundation Sample card Light Set 2 - I’m still not sure which shade is my match because I could wear all of them! At the moment I wouldn’t purchase a full size because I’ve other foundations to use up and I prefer her Skin Tint to her foundation.

YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils The Curler - it was okay. I didn’t think it curled my lashes more than any other mascara. I wouldn’t repurchase because I’ve several mascaras from beauty boxes to use up first.

REN Frankincense night cream.
This was a GWP travel size.
I wasn’t keen on the smell so wouldn’t purchase but I’d use it if I got it again in a GWP or in a beauty box.
