Thank you, I'm not sure we know what we are letting ourselves in for. Just spent an hour trying to kitten proof a room and build a small cat tree and set things up. We've not seen him in person yet but all being fine we should be able to bring him home tomorrow.
Best of luck! Kittens can be chaos, my girl Susan was the naughtiest kitten I've ever known and I've had cats all my life.
I hope you get him, he looks like a sweetheart.

I've just discovered this thread so looking forward to working my way back through them all. I've been catless for 18 months as we were too sad after losing our 17 year old lady. We are hoping to adopt this little man tomorrow. We are very excited and a bit apprehensive as it's been a while since we did the kitten thing. No name yet but open to suggestions 😊
Omg so cute! He looks like cleo when she was a kitten. The kitten stage goes so fast so enjoy it! Please keep us updated.

I'm hoping for a cuddlebug. He's apparently the quietest of the litter. As much as we loved our Lucy, she wasn't a lapcat too often but you did feel honoured when she chose your knee for a nap.

I hope he is a cuddle bug for you! I wanted a cuddlebug lap cat, ended up with a semi feral cat (Boss#1) who after a year still won't lay on my lap and doesn't like to be picked up, however does love belly rubs and likes being brushed. But last night she laid beside my legs, on the bed with me!!!! I def feel honored 😻
It's for sure a process with cats.
I can't wait to hear what name you pick!!!!

Ooh I love the name Percy. Whichever name you choose I'm sure he'll suit it he's a stunning boy ❤ . I once had a guinea pig called Rodney, named after Ryan O Neals character in Peyton Place. I was a strange child even at the age of 8 😁

So excited for you, what a gorgeous little boy. Male cats are usually more needy and affectionate, at least mine always have been, can't wait to see more pics 😍

Awh! 😻 It really must be so scary for them cos they've no idea what's going on and where they are now, even how long they'll be there...etc. In the picture he looks like he is observing and assessing though so he'll prob want to investigate soon enough! He looks so cute and handsome!!!!

Well, he's home and a bit spicy and hiding in the corner. We're just letting him decompress for a while. Still no name as we've barely seen him.
It's always hard the first week or so, you just want to comfort them but they're all confused and just want to hide.
All the cats I've had have hidden under the bed except for Susan, she pretty much took over the house as soon as we got her home, jumping on the bed and wanting pats.
If only they were all like that!

Here she is the first night at home. Bossy,

There is just me and 2 adult boys so we are taking turns of sitting in the room with him. It's our family room so it's quiet.

Omgggg the little head tilt, have a similar photo of my cat when she was a kitten. More proof they know exactly how cute and photogenic they are 🤩😍 and the huge oversized little hands, so precious

We were a bit concerned for a while as he hadn't eaten or drank or used the litter tray but all resolved with a little bit of mackerel, he had that and then some of his meat and a drink and he's had a wee in his tray and a bit of an explore (climbing the curtains! 😬 ) and a play, we've even managed some pets and he's now back under the sofa having a snooze. Feel much better now. He is very cute, has a little black dot on his nose and like a multicoloured paw print on his tummy. Hoping he wakes and get's another bit of food in his tummy and settles for the night. I'm not working tomorrow but i'm up early anyway and the boys are late birds so he won't be without company too long. He is still nameless but I will need to book him into the vet soon so will need to decide on something.

Anyone had any experience of ear mites? I’m suspecting my cat has them (brown debris in ears when wiping) and she keeps shaking her head. Shes going to the vets Saturday for annual vaccine boosters so I’ll mention it then. Shes absolutely her normal cheeky self so she doesn’t seem irritated by it…
