Jimmy was being a pest the other day so I had to call him by his full name.None of which he replies to or listens when you give instructions
"Jimmy <My Surname> will you ever behave!"

Well, I had my revenge this afternoon.
I was working away to keep Jimmy in the style to which he's accustomed while he,
Anyways, there was a scuffle and a thud and I looked to see Jimmy emerge from underneath the upturned cat bed as he'd dislodged it whilst having a bath.
He tried to style it out by stretching on the floor next to it but I wasn't fooled.
The embarrassment! Poor Jimmy.
Baby boy is already enjoying a snuggle, he's very vocal too. If he's not eating, sleeping or playing, he's shouting for attention.

It's so sad when you lose a pet, you get so attached. That was really what's been putting me off getting a new one but then again, I know I have a happy home to offer and he'll have the best life.

seems fine now but he's not loving itI'm up in the frozen north so it's not been too bad. It got to 26 today though. The designated kitten room only has french doors and no window and we can't open the doors obvs. His horizons have therefore been widened today so that we can get some through air from the east facing front to the west facing back. He's therefore been expanding his chaos but been enjoying the non carpeted floors in the front. Again, can only have the windows on the little latch so I'm glad it's not too hot. I really feel sorry for everyone having the high temps. A colleague was sharing his poor cats photos today with them stretched out looking for somewhere cool I think we are dropping back to 24 tomorrow. The temp today has been the highest of 2026 here.

Wiping cats' paws with a damp cloth can help cool them down, I think that's where their sweat glands are?
Damp towels on hard flooring might work too, they love to sit on whatever's not usually on the floor.
We had a 44 degree day here last summer and it was brutal. Luckily we have aircon in the bedroom so all 4 of us gathered on the bed like a weird, hot family.

My Nala only comes in for food and goes back out, she’s in the bushes or her outside bed. She doesn’t drink water but I add water to her wet food. When she does come in she’s flat out on the laminate floor, won’t go on her cooling Matt.
