Sorry to interrupt thread with non-celebrity stuff again, but this beautiful girl was thrown out by her owners a couple of weeks ago due to her being elderly and having a large tumour on the back of her neck. Thankfully, kind neighbours alerted the relevant people, and this super friendly, very affectionate girl will now spend the rest of her life with me. Vet visit tomorrow morning, and I'll take it from there.
Nobody knew her name, no microchip, no response over the last 2 weeks from the people who put her out at her time of need, the bastards.
I've called her Penny Lane after one of my favourite Beatles songs.
She's stunning and super loving, has big blue eyes and an apricot tint to her fur. It's apparent that she's deaf, so I'm being very careful not to startle her, the absolute toots.

This was my late, much lamented Bunty. I took her on when she was 15, and she astonished the vets by living until 23! She was a real fluff bucket, but unable to really clean herself due to arthritis and a lack of gnashers, along with the merest hint of dementia; so she had to have a kind of lion cut every so often to keep her from mats and discomfort.
As an insomniac, she was my companion of the night hours, squonking away at me between her naps and treats.

Btw don't let this cute face fool you... her crying is so bad atm and she nearly jumped into my lunch today. Had to grab her to stop it going everywhere.

Yep, he's Leo. Lionel when he's naughty...

He's doing fab, mad as a box of frogs, running g through his food and spreading it all over the carpet but as soon as he's sleepy he finds someone to snuggle.

Lost this beautiful orange gentle giant (approx 4 yo) with the biggest purr ever this weekend. 3 of the other rescues still unwell, it has been a very long few weeks.

Jimmy was complaining about the heat so I put his cat bed out in the yard.

There's a double-glazed glass roof on it so most of the heat is reflected back making it nice and cool.

Of course, explaining this in Felinese, was a bit of a tall order so I resorted to drugs.

One spritz of catnip spray later and he was head first in there.

Once it dawned on him how cool it was, there's been no moving him.

I'm getting some work done on my house later this week.

I got a call from the company this afternoon to confirm the visit.

Her: "Will there be someone there, aged 18 or over, to give permission for the work to go ahead?"

Me: "Yes, me, the cat's only 8 so he's no use."

Her: "He's the brains of the operation though?"

Me: Oh yes, runs the house he does."

Her: "Thought so, I have one of those as well."

I've just discovered this thread so looking forward to working my way back through them all. I've been catless for 18 months as we were too sad after losing our 17 year old lady. We are hoping to adopt this little man tomorrow. We are very excited and a bit apprehensive as it's been a while since we did the kitten thing. No name yet but open to suggestions
