Cats are too clever for their own good 😂 need to try this next time I have to give worm tablets!
TBH the worm meds that's a gel that goes on the back on their neck is way easier for that. But def a good idea to try on any pills!

Oh yeah you def should! We got them from the vet.
We needed them when Boss #1 throw up a worm a few months ago. She used to be feral, so we were really worried about trying to give her pills. They worked just as good as the pill form, but were way easier to give!

I feel like this is not a case of her not understanding but a case of her not wanting to admit you being right 😂
My little boy definitely understands a lot of what I say and replies, ie when I tell him to get off the counter, stop trying to get tk my food. He does listen and follow my instructions. Little girl doesn't even pretend to pay attention 😂
I fear you may be right! 😂

Cleo has tablets twice a day that I’m not allowed to crush so I got some Easypill Putty, you pull a small piece off and smoosh it around the tablet. Cleo loves it and never refuses, it’s been a life changer for both of us!

Just adorable!
It's very hard to get cats to lose weight, I've had a couple of fatties in the past so I know the way vets shame you.
Either way he's beautiful.
I know he's a megachonk.

Most of my family died of diabetes, so the vets comment hit hard.

The trouble is that our three cats have grown up eating together... we're in a 2 bedroom place and separating them at mealtimes does not work.

He's very similar to my chubby girl, it's basically impossible as her little brother is a really slow/erratic eater so he stops then she eats his food. I can manage it when I'm at home but obviously I'm not at home all day every day 😂

I'm lucky my two aren't chonkers despite being indoor only cats. Thor's nickname is Skinny-Bum as he has a very slim behind.
Susan gets called Pudding Pants but it's just all fluff.

Ideas to help a cat lose weight, just incase it might help:
-Diet cat food. I saw some advertised at the vets. I think it was royal canin brand but I'm sure there's loads of options 🥗
-Laser pointer. That should def help them get moving! 🤸🏻‍♀️
-Not giving them treats. I know this 1 is very difficult. 🧁
-A slow eating pet bowl/plate. I've seen these being used by dog owners and they seen to work for the dogs, but cats are smarter and so might out smart it, but still prob worth a go 🤷🏻‍♀️

Has anyone tried any of these, if so how'd they go?

We have Sureflap microchip activated feeders, which means we can give Mr Chonk diet biscuits, and he can't steal food from the other two. Expensive, but excellent. Although saying that, we got them off eBay.

One of those hamster wheels for cats might work if the cat is willing to give it a go. That's the thing with cats though, they have their own minds.
We bought a cat fountain for ours and the only one who used it was Pooh Bear, the others weren't interested.

Mine were the same with our fountain... one loved it, the rest couldn't be arsed. Cats, eh?!

I wish I could afford one of those massive cat wheels, but the cat charity I worked for has just closed my shop.
