Do you have a water fountain?Does anyone have any tips to get their cat to drink more water? Cleo doesn't drink any, it worries me. I tried to give her hydration sachets but she never touched them.
I did buy one but again she showed zero interest.Do you have a water fountain?
I tried this, cats were scared of itDo you have a water fountain?
Thanks, her water bowl is in the bedroom with her food being in the kitchen. She just doesnt touch water at all. I worry about her kidneys!I tried this, cats were scared of ittwo tips my vet gave were keep the water veryyy far away from the food (they have an instinct not to drink near water sources like rivers as they'd get contimatinted) and also have a couple around your home (I have 3 dotted around my small flat
) but also always leave them in the same place, obviously they don't usually drink much but when they are thirsty they need to know where it is, as they can't smell it. Finally, cats love rain water apparently so if you can collect that... otherwise I wouldn't worry

If you're really worried, tuna water from a can mixed with water helps but if they have wet food that's lots of moisture anyway tbhThanks, her water bowl is in the bedroom with her food being in the kitchen. She just doesnt touch water at all. I worry about her kidneys!
Yeah, she gets two a day but tends to really only finish one.Does she have wet food?
Try adding a little water to each meal. My wee boy rarely drinks but ive managed to work up to 4 teaspoons of water added to each meal.Yeah, she gets two a day but tends to really only finish one.
Lou, if you're concerned about her kidneys there is a powder you can add to her food that helps prevent UTIs.Yeah, she gets two a day but tends to really only finish one.

Ill have a look online! It's not so much a worry now just for when she gets older. Louie drank water and im not used to a cat not doing it!Lou, if you're concerned about her kidneys there is a powder you can add to her food that helps prevent UTIs.
I'd take a photo but I'm trapped under Susan atm (it's very cold here.)
I'm not sure where my husband got it from.
If it makes you feel any better it's normally male cats who have kidney problems. Something to do with the way their urinary tract is laid out?Ill have a look online! It's not so much a worry now just for when she gets older. Louie drank water and im not used to a cat not doing it!
