The girls were snuggled up together snoozing on my bed when I went home for lunch, took all my willpower to not snuggle in with them!

"He's the brains of the operations though?"I'm getting some work done on my house later this week.
I got a call from the company this afternoon to confirm the visit.
Her: "Will there be someone there, aged 18 or over, to give permission for the work to go ahead?"
Me: "Yes, me, the cat's only 8 so he's no use."
Her: "He's the brains of the operation though?"
Me: Oh yes, runs the house he does."
Her: "Thought so, I have one of those as well."
Sending happy paws to you all. I've never had experience with tooth extraction so not sure.Does anyone have any ideas on how to destress a post-tooth extraction cat?
Peach had her teeth out on Friday and seems to be recovering fine but she does also seem quite stressed. She may or may not have pooped on the sofa yesterday. I'm not sure as she has pooped in her little box and gone to the toilet fine and sometimes her poop does get stuck to her fur around her bum, and I was out of the room when it happened, so I'm unsure if it was an accident or on purpose. OH and I are stressing about her not eating enough and have tried all kinds of food and maybe she just doesn't eat that much, but I'm worried about her and I think maybe she's stressed because we're stressed? I don't know.
She also keeps spending a lot of time on our dining chairs which is where she'll usually hide if a stranger comes to the house. Should we just leave her to it when she goes there, rather than try and talk to her or touch her?

I picked up the spray recently and sprayed her bed this morning, but maybe it's worth me getting a diffuser too for the next month whilst she recovers. I feel so much better knowing that she is eating and going to the toilet, even if it's just little bits and thankfully the vet was happy with her recovery on Monday when we went for her post-op. Hopefully it all stays the same next week tooDo you have the Feliway diffusers? I have them for my 2 and they do work. You can also get a Feliway spray to put on their blankets/cushions/wherever they usually sleep to help keep them calm. So long as she's eating and drinking something, she's just getting used to a new feel when she does I would guess. Bless her though, and you two too! Sending you love as it's so worrying when our babes just aren't themselves.
Definitely one of the worst things about pets, not being able to explain things to them. I'm sure if she's eating even just a bit she's fine, it's not eating that signals a problem. It is so hard, isn't it? I just want to tell her she's doing amazing and it's all going to be for the best but of course she doesn't understand! Poor little thing.
Such lovely photos, thanks so much for sharing. Cheered me up no end on a cold grey day....Remy and Jules exploring the neighbours garden lol...and Jules having a good old stretch...they have been loving going out and have been doing their spider-cats climbing tree in garden... don't think the birds are too happy!
Love Jules biiiiiiig stretch and his white socks! Remy very cute too of course!...Remy and Jules exploring the neighbours garden lol...and Jules having a good old stretch...they have been loving going out and have been doing their spider-cats climbing tree in garden... don't think the birds are too happy!
I feel like this is not a case of her not understanding but a case of her not wanting to admit you being rightIf the vet is happy then that's great, just keep an eye on her but don't be afraid to call the vet if you're unsure on anything.
One of my babes is perfectly happy for me to trim her claws, the other one however - not a chance! Then she gets a claw stuck in my jumper or a blanket and yowls till I can get her free. I keep telling her if she let me trim her claws this wouldn't happen but she just glares at me![]()
Cats are too clever for their own goodBoss #3 has been placed on an antibiotic. It's day 3 out of 8 and it has been a struggle. Yesterday we struggled but finally succeeded by husband holding her wrapped up in a blanket, making sure to keep her paws (CLAWS) wrapped up tight and me popping the pill in her mouth and rubbing her nose and throat to get her to swallow. Well unfortunately today she seems to of figured it all out. She just kept spitting the pill out. But thankfully I had the idea of crushing up the pill and mixing it with some licky licks creamy treat. It worked! She gobbled it up
I am suspicious that Boss #2 was the 1 to advise her not to swallow the pill, all so that they could all get some licky licks. Just funny that all 3 came and sat watching us while we chopped and crushed up the pill you know
Either way, hopefully she will just keep taking the antibiotic this way, and extra hopefully the antibiotic makes her better!
