I was just about to say this!

My scalp was so bad, like seriously horrendous my hair was falling out along the hairline. This is the only thing that’s ever worked for me. Started using it 3 years ago and I’ve literally never had a single flake on my scalp since it’s so good.

Aw youre so lucky as i tried the ginger and all it did was strip my colour and i was still itchy !

I haven’t tried T-gel - will give anything a go at this rate even Dandrozel has stopped working for me!

My daughter has scalp psoriasis and we started using the ginger shampoo made it ten times worse, now we have transferred to coal tar shampoo but I also massage this Lush Superbalm scalp treatment into her scalp first, she leaves it for an hour and then double washes her with the coal tar shampoo and it’s really cleared up the yellow crusty clumps, inflamed red sores and the itchiness!

I have tried all sorts of shampoo for my scalp, the best is Nizoral (Dandrazol is same thing as contains ketaconazole)

Worst is tgel, it made me so much itchier and felt yuk

My scalp has a condition called malestazia furfur which is fungal and apart from tea tree based products and nizoral, not much out there that can help it

I have become very reliant in nizoral though,it’s the only thing that doesn’t leave my hair looking greasy.

So bizarre, I was thinking this morning that I need to post on here! Well, I used it a couple of time and it seemed to clear it up a little bit but then I went and bought the bodyshop’s ginger shampoo on Sunday and I’ve used it 3 times and that has really improved it. I’m having my haircut today and I forgot to bring the shampoo for him to use incase their shampoo triggers it I doubt one wash with a salon shampoo will bother it too much

I suffer really badly but I’ve found t-gel is the best shampoo for it. Ginger did nothing for me. I also use any sort of oil and a nit style comb to go through my hair and it pulls a lot of the chunks off of my scalp and I’ve seen massive improvements since!

Didn’t work for me, I was really hoping too as the reviews online are amazing.


They do travel sizes you could try and see if it’s worth going back but there’s also a rip off version you can get from home bargains, savers, places like that for £1 by the brand XHC - it makes your hair feel straw like and tangle when wet but in terms of the scalp it’s good.

I was trying to get a travel size or a sample, but they just keep trying to push the £10 bottle.

I’ve noticed my psoriasis around my hairline is going further into my scalp. Only on 1 side though. I’ve tried t-gel and hydrocortisone but it doesn’t work. Wondering if an allergy to food is triggering it... but it’s beginning to get me down. I always wear my hair down but now the gyms are open, I try and tie it up but it’s hard to hide it
When I try and moisturise it, it goes red
Considering going back on the sun beds to see if improves

I used nizoral shampoo and this awful smelling lotion I tried t gel too I think it's called
Head and shoulders just made my head way more itchy and dry

I think it’s only sold in America but look for it online: neutrgena t gel shampoo. When my scalp psoriasis was at its worst I used it for two months or so religiously, it smells kind of weird and strong but honestly use it for a while and it will really help you can’t recommend it enough. I was living in America at the time when I found it hopefully it’s online somewhere! Love from another psoriasis warrior x

Different things work for different people don’t they but here’s what I’ve used

The body shop ginger shampoo and conditioner - worked to start with then stopped. Made my hair feel dry after using it long term.

Tgel shampoo - didn’t work for me although it does for my friend but makes my hair feel horrid.

Prescription shampoo from the drs called dandrazol - worked but not instantly.

superdrug trichology range - didn’t work for me at all

Philip Kingsley - itchy scalp shampoo and conditioner and also scalp toner - this works for me without a doubt and I like the scalp toner. It doesn’t make my hair greasy or dry and I like how all of it makes my hair feel, it is expensive though but for me so worth it.

I bought the bodyshop shampoo and then bought the conditioner a few weeks later. Thinking about it, I’m not sure why, as you put conditioner on the ends of your hair, not your scalp. So that was a waste of money

There is a specific psoriasis thread so may be worth asking in there. I’ve had it a few times and I feel your pain. So hard to treat.

Following I have a tiny, smaller than a 5pence sized patch on my scalp that is so bloody itchy it drives me mad. It doesn’t seem worth seeing the gp about but it’s so irritating so would love to know any recommendations
