Hasn't Kurt been undergoing cardiac investigation off and on for 2 years now, even wearing a holter monitor for days, showing nothing? I have cardiac experience as an RN for over 8 years and if there was something wrong with his heart they would have picked up on it by now, in my experience. Initally when I saw some of his symptoms (dizziness, light headed etc) i thought of Postural Hypotension/Orthostatic Hypotension - when you stand up and your systolic BP drops by 20mmHg or more. If that was the case though, it would have 100% been picked up by now, through his extensive cardiac testing. I really would be SO interested to know what the further investigations from a cardiology point of view are.
It is great that they are seeking that form of treatment, heart issues with his type of symptoms should be one of the first points of investigation. Even if he does have anxiety/depression/panic attacks, this can elevate his BP, HR and have long term effects, and could need medication. I hope his cardiologist will also refer him onto a psychologist, too treat the possible root cause.
