I do always shower after being in a pool, but chlorine evaporates pretty quickly once you get out of the water and dry off, so I don't think there's actually any serious health risk from not showering, just irritation. It's just like her not showering right after a workout and choosing to stay in sweaty clothes in case she wants to "smash out" another workout later in the day - it's gross and I don't know why anyone would WANT to live that way. If she doesn't even think she would be happier with a shower immediately after getting sweaty and dirty, then she probably doesn't think Fox needs to either. The first half of my post was a question. I clearly don't have children and I asked "Wouldn't you bathe them every day?" I get if they don't get dirty than I guess you wouldn't have to, but my point was her child was in a pool. You should always wash after being in chlorine. Chlorine is an irritant, which can cause dryness, rashes, and in some cases eczema if left on the skin. Even worse, a study found that prolonged skin contact with chlorine has a similar effect as drinking pool water, meaning it's associated with an increased risk of asthma and bladder cancer. Was it just one time? Yeah, maybe. But she brags about not showering herself and makes her child sit in a full nappy. It's a pattern of behavior. You should ALWAYS shower immediately after being in a pool.
I feel like the "get over it" is less what people say when they think they're getting attacked (or at least normally....with Sarah she probably also sees everyone as haters) and more what younger women tend to say when they think they're doing something exceptionally quirky and silly and want to draw attention to it.
