Can’t imagine the terror she must have felt a) at initially being arrested and b) even more so when she realised what he was up to. And she had to sit there all that time while he drove 80 miles, that’s a long way

Susan Everard's impact statement has broken me. Also completely repulsed that colleagues called him 'the rapist' and nothing was done about it. How on earth can you walk around at work being called 'the rapist' with no consequences...it beggars belief
Her sisters impact statement made me cry so much. The pain and anger is just so so awful
The family statements were so heart breaking. You can just feel their love, pride and joy for her but also their sheer heartbreak at losing her. I honestly sobbed at her sisters one, I just cannot begin to imagine their pain.
Her family and friends will be tormented for the rest of their lives. I can’t even write what I feel at such great distance.

hearing that he arrested her for "breaking lockdown rules" has broken me. I can't even imagine the moment she realised what was going on. I wouldn't have even thought about it if a police officer had approached me. It's sickening to think about. Her sister's impact statement really hurt
