Still can't fadom or get over how her family haven't stepped in years ago, god they should be well ashamed of themselves and its only worse she's getting. If the stepped up dad who has been given the title "Dad" is doing that then it's obvious what he thinks of Luke, as in he doesn't see him as his own eventhough Luke calls him Dad. So she can share all the videos in the world of them playing football together but if he's dividing money like that it doesn't say much.

It's the bane of my life deciding what to make 7 days a week for a family and working full time. I actually have most housework done before I go to work. No time for resting for months on end.

Blending families & financials is tough and will be different for everyone. There's alot more to factor in than just saying divide everything in half. Every family will find their own balance. For example he might not pay any rent, but be saving toward the wedding? She might be receiving maintenance toward Luke that will go toward his needs... they might both have bills from before they started going out.

It isn't all about money, he seems to spend more quality time with Luke than any of his actual parents. A child doesn't need to know the intricate financial details of their adults to know who loves them or is there for them.
