I can't comprehend how anyone can do that to a child. You're supposed to love your children, it's against nature to want to hurt them. Poor Sara, she will have been in incredible pain.
Urfan’s.how is that “uncle” related? Is he Urfan’s brother or the Stepmum’s?
I bet they will be too cowardly for that.I wonder if they will take the stand
I have seen a picture on X of her siblings and her brother is her doubleDoes anyone else wonder if Sara was targeted by her "father" and "stepmother" because she looked like her mother? A reminder of his past...
I don't know why but it's something that keeps crossing my mind.
I have seen so many news articles where all they say is “where were SS, why didn’t the school/neighbours report it, they have blood on their hands” and it makes me sad that none of this blame is levelled at the actual perpetratorsEvery time we follow a trial like this I think it’s the worst one, but this really is beyond comprehension. Especially as we probably don’t hear half of the reality of it due to reporting restrictions.
It‘s easy to blame SS, schools, neighbours, the government, et al, but I despair of ever finding a solution while there are “parents“ who are prepared to treat their children like this.
This! No service can operate effectively on peanuts. When the peanuts have been reduced every single year since 2008/2009, with no current end in sight, there’s hardly any more peanuts!People like to blame SS for not acting, when we are all to blame. People don't like paying taxes so they vote for the parties that promise tax cuts, small government, minimal intervention into family life. No one ever really thinks that they are responsible for those cuts but if you've ever voted for a party that promised low taxes, this is the very direct result of that. Social services are massively overstretched, case loads are huge and unmanageable and the people that staff it can't cope and burn out or if they don't burn out, they've stopped caring or never did.
And then everyone clutches their pearls exclaiming that they just can't believe it and blames social workers meanwhile, in Sara's case, there were ample opportunities to intervene from members of the public. This! No service can operate effectively on peanuts. When the peanuts have been reduced every single year since 2008/2009, with no current end in sight, there’s hardly any more peanuts!
The reality is that public services as a whole have been stretched beyond their capabilities. No one wants to pay more tax, council tax or NI. And governments regardless of party have misspent funds. And invariably there are also issues at the head of those services.
So this is a consequence of that. We have paid peanuts, and we have got monkeys!
