Sammi Maria #2 Finally single, wannabe spiritual...still painfully delusional.

I think Sammi's sex talk video is actually quite good. I can imagine younger girls finding it really helpful. And bar a few moments of giggles, she sounds really knowledgeable and confidant, which was nice to see.

It was a great video the only thing that was weird was there were like some editing skips.

I question weather why we never see indie is because she's protecting her or resenting her. I remember shortly after indie was born she said the bad outweighs the good in parenting and before the separation she would really complain about how exhausting being mom is.
I know that many moms feel overwhelmed and vent at times (perfectly normal) but the way she would complain I just got the vibe she regretted having a baby.
Also the most recent pics i've seen of indie it looks like she has pacifier mouth from the her gum/teeth curve

Finally got around to watching her sex talk video and I'm genuinely surprised by how articulate and confident she is. I actually think it's the best video she's made in a long while. She's open minded, calm and explains things well.

It's interesting, it's often people who you wouldn't expect who are most comfortable around sex. And then those who you think of as being confident and self assured who struggle with it.

Anyway, more of this kind of content might work well for her. I think she came across better than some YouTubers who actually specialise in this stuff. It is KINDA confusing though that she can talk this well on the topic and then turnaround and do weird reductive, hyper-sexualised TikToks.

I think (hopefully) she is turning a corner on the divorce. She seemed quite calm and at a good place in her recent favorites video as well.

Just caught a reel she did about June 21st. I know it’s “a thing” to act excited about this date but this comment applies to most of her “looks”. She often seems to be wearing a costume. I really thought it was Halloween for a second. Whether or not you think she’s stylish, she doesn’t have a style anymore. The clothes are wearing her, and this wasn’t the case in her earlier days.

Continuously baffled by how she - a mixed race Guyanese/caucasian and he - dark haired, Jewish - made such a light skin, blonde child!

Sammi puts together outfits for the internet, not real life, making her fashion content entirely inauthentic and irrelevant.

She's a single working mother in her 30s. Most women in her demographic don't want flimsy, scratchy, poorly made clubwear from PrettyLittleThing. They want comfortable but chic, flattering but cool. Where are the staple pieces that can be worn year after year? What does she actually wear on the school run, to the shops, to a meeting with her management?

Street style was supposed to be her niche, but in reality she really only knows how to play dress-up in her bedroom.

I'm mixed race too and me and my siblings are all light skin (and my mom is darker than Sammi!). People would never guess who was my mom at school. And my brother has a totally different hair color than both our parents. Sometimes it just skips a generation. Actually, I'm pretty sure Sammi's mother is blond, if I remember correctly?

Sammi has light features for her racial makeup to be fair, mousey brown hair and light eyes. It's only her skin that isn't super pale.

Also indie is only quarter black.

I have a brunette friend with quarter black kids, the dad is quite dark for a mixed race man, most people would assume he's medium to light skin black.

Both their kids have light eyes thanks to the mum and one kid has blondish hair thanks to the mum's relatives. Maybe the dad's too but I know for a fact the mum has blonde relatives but I'm not sure about the dad.

Genetics are interesting! Lol

Genetics really are fascinating! I think the thing that surprises me most is that hair! I thought it would darken by now but it's proper blonde.

Same! I think it's also expected that dark features will take over because they're just more common worldwide so seem "stronger".

I think I'm more shocked at how little Indie looks like either of her parents. She has the same round features as Sammi but doesn't actually look like her. Then again, neither seem to have strong genes. Sammi, Danni and their mum don't really look alike and Jason and his sister don't really look alike.

Yep. Indie has similar features to Jade Goody, who was also a quarter black.
Forgot about her. RIP.

Yes Indie does have a similar phenotype. Was Jade naturally blonde or dyed? Either way she didn't look part black and interestingly, Jade's oldest son looks more mixed than she did.

And he will probably be questioned more about his heritage than she ever was and unfortunately, possibly face prejudice because of it despite being less black.

Bit of a tangent but this is why I find race categories so intriguing and often an unnecessary way of understanding each other. It all goes out the window unless the person looks like their race.

Obviously people shouldn't be judged on their appearance in any way but it influences our attitudes towards people so heavily sometimes.

Even this discussion wouldn't be happening if society didn't feel a need to categorise people in this way. And that's no shade to PocketRLocket because we all do it.

Sammi is even a "victim" to this as her awakening on racial issues happened at around the same time she decided to wear braids etc. to the point it started to feel performative.

It's just crazy. I'll stop rambling on now lol.

Oh my god THAT'S who she reminds me of!!! Funny I never realised Jade was mixed race either until I watched that documentary about her from a few months ago.

Jumping in here but Thandie Newtons youngest daughter was much like indie when young; blonde hair, blue eyes, and she's also same mix as Indie. Seems to happen quite often when the child has mixed Mum or Dad and white Mum or Dad. Saying that, Thandies' daughter is much older now, and tanned a little more, hair got a bit darker (same hair colour as Sammis' now) so could be the same for Indie.
