My husband has ADHD. He will be on hardcore medication for the rest of his life. It is not a joke, or a fad. It is really, really tough. For him, and sometimes for us, his family.
These bleeping Instatwats jumping on this bandwagon because they think it’s something cool, and not realising that it’s a mental health condition that has severe and serious repercussions for the people who suffer from it. It drives me mad!
And seriously? It’s difficult in your house because your little daughter has ADHD? You’re a part time parent! You don’t even have your children, and yet the little time you do, is too difficult for you? God, she really is the most useless, selfish, pathetic excuse for a mother. Those poor girls.

GP’s can’t prescribe medication for ADHD. It has to be prescribed by a psychiatrist or other specialist consultant. If she actually had a proper diagnosis she’d have been offered it at the time she got the diagnosis.
The first month they usually start you on a low dose and you’ll have to have your BP etc. checked, you can then go up a dose if needed and you’ll be reviewed every six month or so.
She can ask to get referred by her GP but the waiting lists for adult ADHD assessments are years long at the moment. Also hasn’t she already got a diagnosis of bipolar?
