Getting really bored with the Gleambots line, "Not an AD, these are press samples"

In my head, I keep hearing, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"

If there's anything Sali would fume about (fake wokeness aside) is being labelled an Influencer over a Very Serious Journalist. But she's happy to reap the benefits of the former. Hershesons is bloody expensive, how many cuts, extensions and treatments has she had now, for free? The 'press samples' of full-sized expensive products, with the half-hearted reference to affordable brands when she remembers she wants to be hailed as a working-class hero.

And when questioned on something that hits a nerve, either a snide pile-on using her luvvies on Twitter (although I have to admire anyone who could tolerate being in the company of Caitlin I'M MAD, ME Moran for more than 5 minutes) or a weak dilute of an answer.

This thread! I came acroos it searching for some concealer recommendations and it's just confirmed all my Sali doubts! I've just sat and read the whole thing.

I used to love her column and then read Pretty Honest and started to get confused. It made me mad that I'd read most of it before and also that some things she says are so specific to her (like how to wash your hair or shave your legs) that I thought it was weird she was offereing out advice on how to do them. But the thing that made me first suspicious of her motives was when she said she'd been using some sort of face blade "for years" but in the book says you must never ever ever take a razor to your face.

An earlier post mentions her pedalling a £40 scrunchie. Just been scrolling through her IG and came across a post ewith a quote from Pretty Honest:

"the scrunchie comes in limitless guises, all of them abhorent".

I haven't read the book for a while but I am pretty sure she does say in there that she gets botox. I recall something about having a good friend called India who makes sure she doesn't go too far.

Last thing for now. She's so bloody humourless and rude to people! A picture of her make up brushes and someone made a comment about not having time to clean them. "no." she said, "I have other brushes that are used and cleaned regularly, these are just all my extra ones" or something along those lines.

Actually, one last last thing. This article - https://www.vogue.co.uk/article/sali-hughes-wedding-beauty "I ONLY HAVE FRIENDS WHO ARE AT THE VERY TOP OF THEIR GAME BUT I'M SO HUMBLE AND QUAINT THAT I HAD MY RECEPTION AT A LOCAL EATERIE - VEGETARIAN OF COURSE"
Oh thanks for the Vogue article - so bloody Sali. She never disappoints and of course mentions she was a runaway teen (she doesn't really like to talk about it).

It’s so Sali to go to no 10 but wear lots of leopard print so everyone knows she’s a “non-conformist rebel”.

This #presstreatment bollocks is so shady. We all know its just free stuff in lieu of social
Media posting so let’s stop the pretence it is bloody embarrassing.
Do we have a quote from her explaining what a press treatment is?

To me, it's suggests trying a treatment once because you're writing an article about it.
Not getting a free haircut every 8 weeks.

Just be bloody honest, Sali. I don't care if you get your haircut for free. But stop being so shady.

It is amazing how 'influencers' dance on the head of a pin to avoid the dread words 'free' or 'ad'. They use so many convoluted words that mean exactly that. Sali is up there with the worst. I can't actually remember when she used either words tbh her favourites being 'gifted' (always ages ago as well - how can she be expected to remember such trivial things), 'press sample' and now this 'press treatment'. As you say, what the actual F does that actually mean? She really is ripping the arse out of it all now. Shameless.
I wouldn’t mind at all if she just held her hand up and admitted she is an ‘influencer’ albeit she leapt on the bandwagon so late. It’s her trying to pretend she is a league above that, a serious journalist that gets me. She has zero credentials or credibility. Am amazed The Guardian let it slide to be honest.

Another one who has completely lost the plot. Internet fame giveth (money and freebies), internet fame taketh away (good sense, normal faces, humility). She has gone off the rails and her reactions to people who inquire is really upsetting as she used to be a good example of ageing gracefully and now she is just another posh botoxed lady. I despise her as much as I used to admire her because she is flat out lying to people to peddle snakeoils when her "results" are all obviously from surgery. I don't have anything against anybody who has surgery: I myself had fillers twice, in my lips (for definition that I am losing with age) and the nasolabial folds because they're very pronounced and made me look much older than I am. When people ask me, I tell them I had fillers in addition to not smoking, drinking very little and taking really good care of my skin.
Influencers take us all for idiots and it's really starting to bug me :p:D

There was no long, close friendship with Carey. SH honed in after discovering who she was on her forum. She did do the big fundraising thing, but the money raised was about Carey as a person, not SH being selfless, she didn’t exactly keep a low profile while doing it. There are people who do things for charity and then there are people who tell everyone that THEY are doing things for charity.

Used to admire SH as she has worked hard for her influencer fame but I think she has been soft selling for years. She either tags her new dresses, jumpers etc or only answers questions asking where her clothes are from.
Her massive forehead is looking odd now because the rest of her face is not tight. That is her prerogative. My issue is she sells anti aging products which she swears by but she never admits she has been using botox for years. ( so they don't work that well then)
She has always been upfront about the products she flogs being sent for free.
She is very litigious and was furious with mumsnet a few years ago when calling her out. If she finds this thread she will react with all guns blazing.
Finally her books like all influencer books are shit. A photo of a jar of Vaseline/ ljpstick/nail varnish at al with a paragraph on it being iconic ffs she got paid for that.

Sali Hughes + griefcast on google pulls up Tattle on the second page for me.
Anyway, you don’t agree with our “harsh” critiques of a career liar who preys on women afraid of aging while professing herself a grand feminist - that’s your prerogative. Another prerogative is to stop reading here and go on with your life. You came here, decided to make an account to tell us off, then when faced with people who don’t agree with you changed your tone stating you don’t want to argue with strangers. Coming on this thread to defend the person we’re “harshly criticising” is the definition of arguing with strangers. So argue away please, but don’t pretend that’s not what you wanted to do. I read plenty of stuff online I don’t agree with, I generally don’t go through the trouble of signing up to a website unless I care to argue.
TLDR: please don’t BS us, argue away 😂

She is such a humourless old bag. I honestly don't think I've ever seen anyone who smiles less than her (or is that the Botox?!). She cannot stand criticism and is SO defensive.

This is the 4th week in a row Sali has got nothing to say. Essentially a boring advert for cliniques latest gimmick. As usual she is getting trashed below the line.
How fantastic her column was before she got too lazy.
The Pool also got too smug. Instead of bite sized news it became virtue signalling from the usual suspects and adverts.
The pool, soho radio and the guardian all using the same people on repeat. Plugging each other's book's and skin care et al, in return for articles full of self love/oneupmanship.
Sali always has a hissy fit if crossed. Never debates.

Sali's twitter 1st July:

"Jeez, if I got an actual period as often as I currently get sent a groundbreaking new book on periods, I’d worry my ovaries had short circuited."

Sali's twitter 3rd July:

"We are Hormone-tastic on today’s @sohoradio show, live now then up later on Mixcloud. @eleanormorgan discusses her brilliant new book ‘Hormonal’, Dr Amalia Annaradnam from London Hormone Clinic, and @CateSevilla, obv. Enlightening two hours coming up."

Sali's twitter 4th July:

"This. ‘Hormonal’by @eleanormorgan is properly fascinating. This issue is huge and affects everything in our lives.https://twitter.com/rhiannonlucyc/status/1146743040872189952 …"

Hey Sali, guess what periods have EVERYTHING to do with??

Sali has a problem with middle-class, well-educated and/or wealthy women. Even though she lives in a nice house, and probably earns a pretty penny, she still wants to see herself as a homeless, impoverished teenager. The way she went after Esther Coren was vile, she'd certainly have something to say if anyone did the same to one of her luvvies.

The fact that people still keep asking for an ITB with Lisa Eldridge probably pisses her off too. I'm not sure what the history is there, I know she makes polite nods on YouTube comments as 'I respect her' etc but I do wonder what has happened.

The best way to wind Sali up is to always mention Lisa in comments under her column or on Twitter. Never fails.
And @Gulster funnily enough I was wondering about her being a Makeup artist these days. A while ago she kept mentioning her 'professional kit' and how when she ran away as a teen (she actually did but doesn't like to mention it) it was to become a MUA. While all her friends were buying silly old records and clothes she saved up for a Suqqu brush - I know! Cray! And so loveably quirky. But has she now officially stopped that?
Lisa just seems such a classy modest lady. Never afraid to appear looking a bit ropey - though she obviously is stunning.
I hate to assume because two women don't get on it is down to jealousy on one side but it really seems that might be the case here. And tbf to Lisa Sali probably isn't even in her orbit.

She’s now banging on about the fact her husband votes Tory again. Ugh he strikes me as a rather unfunny wet blanket. Anyone remember when someone suggested he was punching above his weight and she went on a twitter rant about what a good fuck he was 🤢
Personally I wouldn't even date a Tory, let alone marry one. No matter how good he was at laying pipe.
