Sali Hughes #11 A red lip, a pink tight, a leopard boot - how very singular!

That's correct, she's not actually a dermatologist. A GP with a special interest in skincare but not a qualified derm. Check the bio on her website compared to the other two Drs working in her clinic.

Thank you

How do you use it on the lips?

I read (on here I think) that Sam isn’t actually a derm? Her moisturiser doesn’t work for me at all.
Press it against top lip, move to the right side when it beeps. Repeat the sequence three times. I do bottom and upper lip divided into quadrants.

I’m in Dr Sams Facebook group. Full of very knowledgeable people but any questions about her qualifications get shot down. She also charges Harley street prices despite not being a derm.

I googled “is dr Sam bunting a dermatologist” and the client testimonial page was the first result.

The cynic in me says those testimonials are included on purpose so that anyone perusing that page would conclude “yes” without giving it much further thought.

Shady as duck and I can’t believe that’s allowed.

I didn't realise sleeping on your back was good for anti-aging! If I slept on my back every night I might look younger but I might also potentially lose my relationship because I snore when I'm on my back :LOL:

I watched all the review videos of the dr Sam products when they first come out by Caroline and the blonde lady Caroline is friendly with (another skin and beauty blogger) and both of those referred to her as a dermatologist. I don’t really care if she is or isn’t, I was just asking because I saw on earlier threads, a few said she isn’t.

Do you know why
she's called Dr in that case? Doctor of what I wonder.

I think she is a Dr.

i don't know if you have to do speciality training to qualify as s dermatologist in that case. I do know that many dentists offer Botox and fillers.

I think you do, you train in medicine and then you go on to specialise I think. I think it takes an extra couple of years.

The amazing surgeon who removed the skin cancer from my forehead (last week - it went well) said he gives lectures for trainee dermatologists and (his words) “doctors interested in cosmetic dermatology”. I bet she attends.

Thank you - it was mohs surgery so they check it all on the day. I only needed one round of surgery so it’s all good, very relieved. Went back to the hospital this week and they said it’s healing nicely :m:m:m

Btw for scar reduction I was specifically recommended Kelo-Cote gel from Amazon.

Oh I feel a bit misled tbh if she isnt a derm. Might explain why bupa said they wouldn't pay out for an appt with her

I did, because I purchased all her products and followed her tips religiously. But I wasn’t sure if it was true or not as I only saw it here, I still don’t. I have messaged her to ask but she doesn’t respond. I’ve stopped buying, although I did like the cleanser. I now have an actual dermatologist so I stick to what he says.

That’s good news! I will look into the scar reduction gel, sounds fab.

Oh so pleased it went well 😘 I had been wondering when you were due to have it. I bet that is a relief for you.
I think I mentioned my ma had her skin cancer on her leg done in Nov and was using seaweed patches and the Dr said it might take months to heal but it was about 6 weeks. I'm going to look up that gel too.
Anyway that is great news xxx
