I love that she's been describing the home as a reno but the entire downstairs has been finished in what looks like a couple of weeks. Proof that she can't cope with discomfort at all.

Liked the lobster sweaters though haha, very cute.

I actually find it so tacky seeing these influencers slagging off the previous owners for things they did to the house they bought. If it’s that bad why did you buy it?!

Agree. Could have been a rental Too. Landlord taking the dosh doing little Inside.

The way her house is is so common for period properties. They were not built with central heating, electricity, gas, indoor bathrooms and loos. Unless the whole place has been renovated..you are buying over 60/70 years of cobbled improvements..I have been there.

That reel about the work to do on the house… genuinely feel sorry for how naive and lacking common sense she is. Paying to have your hallway tiles restored when you’re about to do an extension next year?! Flooring is what you do LAST. I understand the mini kitchen facelift given her job but paying a carpenter to box in pipes no child can reach in a utility room you’re about to rip about? Maybe CLOSE THE DOOR. Getting picture lights chased in when the kitchen layout will probably totally change? Complaining about a small hole any idiot could fill sand and paint? A tiny bit of mold on a door? You can ventilate, clean and paint. And no storage?! You bought a knocked about ex rental, it’s hardly going to have built ins that cost thousands. Laughable. Ikea exists until you can afford it. She truly will not know what is hitting her when they really start, especially with two small children. In fact I’m sure they will move out temporarily and make lots of costly errors. Saff, if you can hear me, no matter how many dust doors you put up, if you start knocking down walls EVERY SINGLE ROOM AND THING YOU OWN EVEN IN BOXES WILL GET A LAYER OF DUST INCLUDING THE BABY! Take it from someone who knows.

Not unusual for these types of folk to be lacking any common. The hole in the wall - i have it down to a fine art filling in from ready made filler pot, then smoothing with a credit/bank card, no need for sanding.

It is a beautiful period house with lots of potential for modernising..costly (no issue with the cost), will be a challenge going through it. Builders and tradies are reliably unreliable.

I think these influencers are used to wasting money, if it costs up to a certain amount they’ll pay even if the Reno will re-do what they’ve done.
