It’s always Jonny that does “bath time” Anna is too busy preparing her dates with Matt.
I can understand Andrea may need checking hes washed properly, but even he is capable. I remember as a 6/7 year old, my mum checking the shampoo was out of my long hair.
Anna should be explaining to Emilia about washing hair, and why hair can get greasy, etc.
instead she’s doing her own get ready with me, despite having the same dated make up.

There’s such a shift when a child starts secondary school, it’s a huge shock. Jonny will be happy, as he’s been on the “my teen daughter” bandwagon for years

Apart from cooking soggy meals during the week, Jon does all the family work in the house. I guess Anna washes a couple loads of laundry and lets the dogs out. But she can’t be in charge of homework, kids free time, baths, getting ready or putting to bed, etc. Her time with the kids is when they drift by her makeup vanity while she’s doing her hair, or in passing in the kitchen when they ask for a hair-do before school. And grabbing them more Nutella, or whatever for their breakfast.

It’s all in passing. She also folds and stages outfits for Jon to make the kids wear in the morning and sort of tidy’s a bed before or after the cleaner comes. That’s as involved as she gets, it’s funny to see her actually have to drive the A’s to class in the morning.

So to sum up, actual time with kids is minutes in the morning, and a drive to or from school, then heaping a bowl of plain pasta in their face before her and Jon shut themselves in the living room with large personal pizzas to watch garbage on tv.

Suppose he had to bring E2 along as a 10 year old can't stay home alone, and mummy dearest was probably off on a hot date with her boyfriend.
E2 has always had issues with boundaries, and never gets told off, either. I think a 10 year old should be expected to be able to have someone else have their turn, but if you've not been taught that by your parents.... I feel sorry yet again for Emilia who always has to be 'the good girl/sister', and just has to grin and bear it.

And it's not like they really care about their emotional wellbeing, either... So all in all, shit parents, and the school has known for years.

I doubt their former school really cared enough as long as their salary was paid. There's only so much teachers can do without parental support. Not doing the simple necessities at home to support their children's academics is a Jonathan and Anna issue no matter what type of school they attend.

Hi all,

Constant reader but rarely log in and comment! Don't want to de-rail the thread but the only "experience" I have of trans is this family and this thread. My little brother has decided he is trans and in my head I am feeling so negatively about it as I feel it's the influence of social media primarily making him feel this way. Of course I cannot directly blame the Saccone Joly's however I do think the effect they are having on teens who may have identity issues (who didn't during the teen years!)

How old is your brother? I think my advice would be to listen to him, and get him seen by a therapist. He may well be trans, and he obviously feels comfortable to say how he feels to you and your family. The SJ. exploit edie abs share so much of their life online, that’s the biggest issue. That won’t be a problem for you. Xxx

Yeah I remember when the middle schoolers were wearing t-shirts like Nirvana, not having any clue what Nirvana’s music sounded like. But it’s trendy. The floral short dresses are the next trend. So glad Anna is on the trend.

"Every parents evening we've bypassed the academic stuff and gone straight to the child's emotional well-being" Tell me again how you don't care about your child's education. Both of course is important, but it seems like they put a huge emphasis on 'how do you feel', and not on whether or not they are doing OK in school. It's why they have now kept E2 out of school for so long, because it suits them with the filming schedule, and E2 probably prefers it, too.....getting all the attention and the extras.

Not caring about your child's academic achievements is not the brag you think it is, Anna.

As much as kids emotional welfare is important, it’s the parents responsibility to make sure the kids are also sticking in at school and getting their education down. Barely any kids actually enjoy academia, it’s a job for them they’re not getting paid for at the end of the day. Obviously sometimes they’re going to moan and not want to do it, immediately folding and letting them just sack it off is only going to create a child with 0 work ethic. They’re too “woke” for their own good. Kids need a bit of discipline sometimes, just like adults do. Don’t know why people are so scared to admit that.
