usually if there’s nothing on ebay, that means the brand isn’t worth anything — people don’t even bother resellingI wonder if they aren't good quality, as I'm a slut for a good eBay second hand purchase and there's almost nothing of theirs on there to be had!
This supports my thoughts about her trying to cosy up to her lecturers and be their 'friend'. I also feel that she probably doesn't expect her peers to be as insightful as she is, so doesn't necessarily value their contributions. Also, some of my friends have been in seminars with her and apparently she's quite nice (if a little precocious) but mostly keeps to herself and seems more keen to chat with the professor than socialise with her peers. People who lived in her first year halls have also said that she constantly made noise complaints, which honestly doesn't surprise me! I think she's a nice person but she's VERY sheltered, and her videos are absolutely not an accurate depiction of what uni life is like. It's kind of become a meme among Exeter students that the uni sponsors her
I 100% agree with this! She's a very rigid person in many ways, as evidenced by her minute-by-minute timetabling. She defo had very close relationships with her teachers at school (I suppose partly due to the tiny class sizes) and seems to speak about them more often than any friends her own age. So I think she is trying to replicate that at uni - I seem to remember her saying that she wrote Christmas cards to her seminar leaders! This supports my thoughts about her trying to cosy up to her lecturers and be their 'friend'. I also feel that she probably doesn't expect her peers to be as insightful as she is, so doesn't necessarily value their contributions.
I can absolutely picture her making noise complaints all the time - let's face it, Ruby isn't the most flexible of people, nor someone who would hesitate to remind people of the rules (at least indirectly!). Other people are outside of her control (whether they are annoying her by simply being young/a typical student, or getting better marks than her), and I think that will always bother her.
I won't say the name but I think it begins with a PI don’t think it’s allowed but how would one find out her private school, I’ve worjed in that sector before so know quite a few of them
It went to a good comp and managed to get a 2:1 from a Russell Group. I’d be furious if I were her parents and paid so much for education for Ruby to be the way she is. She lacks all the character private schools are known for instilling.I won't say the name but I think it begins with a P

I couldn't even imagine my parents spending this much on my education
As far as I know her dad works in finance in London (So good money there) and her mum does a lot of odd things, I think she was an opticians assistant, among other things. I reckon they probably come from money tooIt went to a good comp and managed to get a 2:1 from a Russell Group. does anyone know what her parents do? I knew that they were wealthy but I didn’t realise they were THAT wealthy. To put both of them through private school at £28000 a year is crazy. That’s nearly my year salary!
Ruby has her issues, I'm not defending her all of her behaviour here, but I'd argue that private schools don't instil character. They are institutions run for profit that ensure that the children of wealthy remain wealthy. They ensure the offspring of the wealthy pass state exams and take up as many extra-circular activities as possible in order to appear viable candidates for top universities. They introduce their students to the 'right' type of people who can open doors for them when it comes to getting into the world of work. And parents of private school children expect nothing less, because they are paying hefty fees. They want their money's worth. These private schools/competitive parents plan their kid's futures to the point where you'd wonder where does the young person's own free-will and desires come into it. The private schools (and culture they create as a byproduct of this) care not about a young person's personal development or mental health at all, all they care about is creating students who are a walking advertisement for their schools. Highly successful young people... on paper. It went to a good comp and managed to get a 2:1 from a Russell Group. wow it looks fancy as hellI can’t see a privacy issue since she left there three years ago? Pipers Corner.
mods, delete if against the rules.
Did Martha definitely go there too? I always got the impression they went to different schools, for some reason, but maybe I just can't imagine Martha in that setting!does anyone know what her parents do? They both went to the same school. I struggle to imagine her there tooDid Martha definitely go there too? I always got the impression they went to different schools, for some reason, but maybe I just can't imagine Martha in that setting!

I can see her staying at uni for the longest time possible and then either staying at uni for a job or becoming a writer. What type of job do you guys think she'll end up doing after uni? I could see her pursuing higher education but I feel like she'll end up being a writer. She's always talking about writing her own things so maybe youtube will allow her to publish something in the coming years.
yes, i'd say either staying in academia or being overly-productive trying to have different sources of income like ali abdaal does (investing in real estate, remember she bought a cottage being only 18, and pushing her own brand, pumpking productivity, just like holly gabrielle does with narna and her tutoring business)I can see her staying at uni for the longest time possible and then either staying at uni for a job or becoming a writer.
What’s funny is that Ruby can’t even pronounce academia correctly, whenever she embarrassingly bangs on about “dark academic” she pronounces akadaymear. For someone who loves English lit, her writing and pronunciation is atrocious. Don’t get me wrong, mine isn’t great but I don’t bang on about books like she doesyes, i'd say either staying in academia or being overly-productive trying to have different sources of income like ali abdaal does (investing in real estate, remember she bought a cottage being only 18, and pushing her own brand, pumpking productivity, just like holly gabrielle does with narna and her tutoring business)
i don't see her in a corporate job, in an office and having a boss
Honestly my pronunciation of stuff is shit too. I found out at the ripe old age of 24 that epitome isn't pronounced epi-tome but epitomiseWhat’s funny is that Ruby can’t even pronounce academia correctly, whenever she embarrassingly bangs on about “dark academic” she pronounces akadaymear.
